I would say Madonna's back, but she's never gone. Her latest album is a testament to the queen of pop. Listen to the entire album a few times so you can appreciate all the song.

Not Classic Madonna but Worth A Listen

This album still sounds like the Queen of Pop. This album is quite a good listen if you like your pop not released too much on today's radio. However, if you want something more profound like her 1997 Ray of Light album, give Ray of Light another listen.

Being a huge fan of Madonna, glad to hear the return of more ballads. Although the album does infuse current trendy sounding cuts, a couple of which I have to agree don't really belong on this album and could have actually been left off, it's an overall more mature and cohesive sounding album that she's put out in a while. Glad she doubled the amount of tracks, something not expected ever by Madonna. Usually her albums are no more than 13 tracks. Not my #1 favorite from her (Erotica & Confessions are a tie for #1 on my list), but definitely in my top 5! Well worth the purchase, if you can overlook the more out of place urban/rap/pop tracks. Actually, these particular tracks will grow on you after a while.

This album was very refreshing, especially considering the fact that Madonna has been making music for over 30 years. Working with young producers keeps her relevant but also rejuvenates her. I like the fact that she brought melodies this time, which were lacking from MDNA, even though that album was a lot of fun and well-produced. Her vocals are also more warm this time around. There really isn't a bad song on the album. My favorites: Body Shop, Ghosttown, Joan of Arc, Devil Pray, B*tch I'm Madonna, Unapologetic B*tch, Best Night, Inside Out, Illuminati, Holy Water, and Living For Love.

    Madonna's "Rebel Heart"

Many singers have come to challenge Madonna for her title as the "Queen of Pop." And still, with her successors and imitators, Madonna remains on top. Not so much a reinvention as it is a new chapter, "Rebel Heart" is Madonna adopting some sounds of the times while reminding us why we've been swayed since the 1980s. When she sings she's an "Unapologetic B * * * h", you better believe she is because that's the power of an immortal persona in music. Make sure to get the deluxe edition for the total experience.

Many people are praising this album so highly, even calling it her best. Now, I'm an avid fan of Madonna's work, her musical style, presentation, etc...but I would definitely NOT say this is her best. Extremely altered voice projection (most likely due to her age) but the vibe of her sound on here just isn't what Madonna essentially is. Her sound has changed constantly throughout the years, but this seems to be merely nothing special. The "substance" and "melodic" quality and "groove" of her other albums is simply missing on this one. I also really don't dig her feeling the need to have other artists on her tracks either...producing is fine (as she's always had collaborative producers to complete the style of each album uniquely) but to have them vocally performing on her songs is simply junk and unnecessary. My feeling is "Hey, you're Madonna...you're great, not them, you don't NEED them on your song(s) to have great tracks".

Madonna has proven once again she is still the queen of pop with this epic masterpiece Rebel Heart. from the dance love anthem to the heartbreaking ballads, to the sesual infused pop songs echoing Erotica, almost every song is a true masterpiece. the highlights being Ghost Town, Joan of Arch, Holy Water, Devil pray, Wash all over me and Rebel heart. for those who think she is past her prime or is too old, she has proven all of that is false with these catchy pop songs!

This special edition of Rebel Heart is the way to go to purchase this album as it has a 5 extra songs. My favorite songs are Living for Love, Iconic, Illuminati, Bodyshop, Holy Water all of which she plays on her current tour. Overall, the album is pretty diverse in both sound and scope through elements of hip-hop, electronica and dance. She collaborates with a number of artists for a fun record to be enjoyed by all.

I have been following Madonna since her debut. I skipped a few of her recent albums, but had read great reviews about Rebel Heart and decided to give it a listen. I really like it. Good theme throughout and the music is easy on the ears. If you are a Madonna fan, buy it. You will not be disappointed!

Some songs sound a bit like the old Madonna, while some songs have a new flare to them. The collaborating artists on this album bring out a fresh twist in M's sound and style. Lots of tracks and they don't all sound alike, so it's good to listen to from start to finish and then again.

This new album offers new material that deals with many of Madonna's familiar themes, commentary on who she is now and where she is on life's journey, and a delightful look at some of her previous songs and where she has come from. In short, there is something for everyone!

Indeed this is a much better album outing than MDNA and I am happy for that. I am a true Madonna fan, so I'll buy anything she puts out. The album goes back to producing some of the great balads Madonna can put out. The fun dance tunes like 'Living for Love' are great. Long live the Queen!

imo this is Madonna's best work since 08's "Hard Candy" Everything about Rebel Heart was amazing, from the lyrics to the great producers/writers she collaborated with including Diplo, Kanye, Ryan Tedder, Natalia Kills, Avicii, Toby Gad. gr8 album, highly underrated.

This album is a bit of a throwback to Madonna's early hits, with her reminiscing on all that she went through in those years, along with some new sounds to stay up with the times. So many great songs to love again! Get this album! You won't be sorry.

I found the album to be very good. Some different themes and I agree it should maybe have fallen into a 2 disc set. Madonna is still relevant even if her albums don't sell as good as they use to. Not many albums do these days. Enjoy the songs!

I did not know what to expect with this CD. I can't get myself to eject it from my car's CD player! A few songs are being skipped. Devil Pray is fun. Trying to figure out the lyrics. A good mix and a great addition to Madonna's career!

I wasn't too crazy about Madonna's last album (MDNA), but this album is so much better, with a variety of genres and poignant lyrics...there are definitely hits in here. I can't wait to see her in concert in September.

Awesome CD best in years for Madonna! Even though she is not getting airplay. A lot of great songs. Ghostown and Joan of Arc are great slow tempo songs and Living for Love and Iconic were my favorite dance songs.

Madonna is still going with this release of her next hits to add to her collection. Ghosttown is a stand-out to me in this set. She proves yet again that she's still got what it takes.
