I felt K.Michele wasnt allowed too her music like now. She's one of the best song writter because it come from heart.

I have known K Michelle back when she first came onto the scene. I first came across here when she was first signed to JIve Records back in 2008. I remember all of the really good tracks that came from that time with Jive/Sony: "Fakin It", "Fallin", "How Many Times", "I Just Can't Do This". I was very excited for her debut album, then titled "Pain Medicine", to come out. But then, more and more time passed with no news on the album. Ii suspected something and sure enough it was true. The label had her album/project in limbo (as with many of their artists at the time). Ultimately, the label was shut down, and K Michelle was transferred over to RCA Records in 2011. After all of this frustration, she decided to buy out of her contract and leave, with no album ever released. She kept fans tided over with a few mixtapes and wondered what her next move would be, weary of what had happened to her. She learned a tough lesson in music industry politics. But after awhile, K Michelle eventually found success in an unexpected way - reality TV. While I personally don't care for reality TV, it created a new-found interest for her, and after CAREFUL consideration, she decided to sign with a new label, Atlantic Records. And after 4 LONG years, she finally was going to release the debut album she promised her fans. Which brings me to the album - Yes the debut album - that FINALLY gets to see a release. Needless to say, I am very proud of K Michelle for her perseverance and never giving up on her dreams, no matter how many times she was told NO. It took awhile, but she finally comes through. K Michelle delivers on "Rebellious Soul", a fitting title that truly represents her spirit and current state of mind. The album is very well put together, the production complimenting K Michelle's crisp vocals. I especially like that she included "Can't Raise A Man", which was one of her earlier songs she had done prior to this album. It was a smart choice to have "V.S.O.P." as the single. The sample was recognizable, and was current and fresh at the same time. It was a very solid body of work. She seems to have a better home at Atlantic. a label that can work WITH her not against her to get the right music and videos, and build her overall brand. Nevertheless, I cannot wait to see what she has planned for the next album.

K Michelle should have blown up years ago. I love her voice and she is so underrated as a singer.

She does not get enough credit. Beautiful voice and nice cd.

This CD is HOT! I love K Michelle she a real btch! Wish I could go see her in concert with Keyshia Cole.. 2 of America's Realest Women!! Love em both.. Keep up the good work K
