We replaced our kitchen and didn't want to look at the ugly cable box. This solved our problem.

I purchased this set as an IR remote extender for a projector, and right out of the gate, the directions for setup were very unclear and procedure / steps contradicted themselves. I am an A/V installer with a significant technical background. When I finally reached the customer support to troubleshoot this unit (at least a half hour of hold time and multiple attempts to navigate the phone menus, the support person asked for the part number which I gave right off the packaging, and he described a completely different product. It was apparent at that point he was guessing on what to do. We were unable to get the unit to function, and I am returning it for a refund. I definitely do not recommend this product.

It works just like it is suppost to. I have it over 40 feet away and 2 walls blocking it.

We purchased this product as we have our components in our front hall closet and needed something that would enable us to point the remote at the tv, yet control the cable box/blue ray player. It works very well. Only downside is that the remote must be pointed directly at the receiver and if it is off by a little it doesnt work.

Wish it was more sensitive at close range we used it for my dad's TV but it doesn't Meet my expectations for the price when I still have to point the remote at the device

I bought this because my satellite installer needed a device for transmitting my remote to my basement. It worked but then he discovered he could change remotes so I had to return (or so I thought) the device. I tried to return it to Best Buy but now they only offer returns if returned in 15 days. Needless to say, I was just over 15 days, but according to the gentleman who did returns, "Sorry, nothing we can do for you." After buying a washer, dryer, dishwasher and microwave, if this is how they now do business, I'll go elsewhere to a place who thinks "We want your business before and after the sale." There are plenty of stores out there besides Best Buy.

This product work wonderfully, Appling to the eye, we have had no issues.

Love this item. This item it used all the time and we love it.

I really needed the wall mounted TV to have a clean wall without any furniture under it, as that space is also a walkway to the rest of the house. It is kind of magical to hide all the "stuff that makes it work" in the adjacent room.

Great product. the Recotpon-Infrared extender work well.its works though my cabinet doors. I want my cable box out of sight and this did the job so that i could use my remote without the cable box in sight. Love it !!

Built a theater and put all of my equipment in the other room for less cluter. Thought I would need 3 of these but 1 of these will work for 3 items. This controls my directv, blue ray and denon receiver.

I didn't want to pay for another cable box for TV in another room, so I just ran a connection to it from the box supplied by Cable company (located in another room). This Recoton gadget from Best Buy lets me change channels - and it works great. I selected this brand because it doesn't need batteries and the price was very reasonable compared to others. My tech son tells me this is actually a signal converter, from InfraRed of the remote to RF signal that will go thru walls. Then the "receiver" in the other room converts it back to IR signal and sends it to the Cable TV box. I am very satisfied with the product. I rate it average on durability only because I've only had it for a few months. It should last for several years, just never know.

It was suggest from cable tect.. for me to work both my TV's being only on has the cable box. This way I can see all my programming without having to put another box in the bedroom. Only negative, is that you can't get HD programing through the process.
