Honestly is it my favorite foreign film, the casting, locations, and acting are simply amazing. Big heads up is that in America the edited version is about two hours, whereas the unedited version is four and a half hours. A lot of stuff got cut out, entire characters and back stories. Things that really make the story a lot better, a shame they couldn't just do an intermission. A must own for John Woo fans.

I had come across this movie on Netflix. I thought it was very good. Then I found out that there was an International Version which was uncut (longer playtime) and Best Buy had it. Worth every penny if you like this genre, but be aware it is only with English subtitles.

If your even slightly interested in ancient chinese warfare its an amazing fill. Its more about tactics then actual combat. The movie is 5 hours long but probably just about an hour of combat. It's a deeply facinating endever to watch and highly recomend it.

Visually stunning, insanely detailed battle choreography. The 5 hours fly by so effortlessly, I cannot think of a single moment where I was bored. Special features are very generous. The "Making Of" documentary is a feature length film in and of itself.

Amazing movie, the drama is right, the action is right. A five hour movie you won’t even notice, this is a definitive classic masterpiece. They rerelease 4K.

We need to watch more international cinema to truly appreciate movie. This is a fine example.
