Somewhat entertaining action movie but could have been a lot better. Lame screenplay & direction.

It was a great movie for the 2:17 that I was able to watch it...returned for DVD version because that was about how long it took to tell that the BluRay wasn't an improvment to this movie.

Overall boring. Predictable & not too convincing. Lame screenplay & direction. Abrupt ending leaves you hanging.

Great 80s movie with a strong, familiar cast. The plot carries this one as its maybe the only movie I know of to explore the concept of an invasion of the USA.

this is completly what you would think to find in a futuristic 80's movie. the action is pretty good considering when it was made. i grew up watching it and still enjoy watching it. the plot is interesting. when russia and cuba invade a not so distant future US, agroup of teenagers band together and hide out in the mountains. they start a resistance and fight for the people that are stuck in the town they grew up in.

Red Dawn is one of those movies that is a period piece now. The threat of war was much more prevalent when this movie first arrived and it seemed almost possible that we could be attacked by our evil enemies. It still resonates with me because of the feeling I get when I root for these poor kids. Trapped, alone, hopelessly outgunned: they never stop believing in America and each other. Wolverines!!! Indeed

This is really an excellent movie that portrays a invasion by Soviets in a rural Colorado area and the defensive counteractions by local high school students. Incredibly, this is not so far fetched as one might think when watching. Given our terroristic invasions and probable future attacks - this brings a reality as to opening your eyes and being prepared. Great movie for all ages.

'Red Dawn' is one of my all-time favorites. Good acting across the board and a cool story as well. I never tire of watching this film. Presented nicely in this 2-disc special edition featuring an anamorphic widescreen transfer. Highest recommendation!

This World War 3 Movie staring Patrick Swayze shows what it would be like. This movie shows what could happen if the Soviet Union Decides to invade the United States. On the day of the Invasion a group of high school Students escape to the mountains where they learn to survive and fight back. A great Saturday movie!

Just saw the remake of this 80s classic and just was not as good. I felt this one was a little more realistic. Although, I'm sure the younger generation would probably disagree.

What a great movie, loved the story and the action from start to finish. Like I said above by far one of the best action movies of the 80's

This movie made me think what if it could really happen. This movie was good but to much bad mouth. Thats why I give this movie four out of five.

This movie still holds up after 30 years. It was great to watch all of those big actors in their youth.

Bought this for my son who had never seen it and was interested after the recent movie was released. Better than I remember it!

Who couldn't love Red Dawn? The re-make is good but can never beat Patrick Swayze!

An interesting plot and the cast does a really good job.

It's so 80's you can't help but love it. If you are in for a night of nostalgia this is a good way to go
