This movie was remade a few years ago and didn't do very well. I think that was because this was an 80's capsule. The Russians somehow invade the US, and this tells the story of a small rural town and a band of local kids who fight back against the Russians. This fit in the 80's and that's why it worked. Great young actors in Patrick Swayze, C. Thomas Howell, Lea Thompson, and Charlie Sheen make this a fun movie to watch. Very good supplements supplied by Shout make this a worthwhile purchase. I enjoyed it!

Red Dawn brings up many memories. This was a definite see in my house growing up. My brother and I saw it together I don't know how many times. But we saw it so much that the VHS tape was so fuzzy you couldn't see the movie anymore. The story line was great. I love how a group of teenagers took matters into their own hands to defend their town and their country. Love it & definitely must see classic.

This movie was really interesting to me to think that the actions in this movie could happen and how it could/if actually happen. The action was definitely non stop. Worth checking out if you’re into action/war type movies.

Following a high school band of USA resistance fighters when the USSR (look it up :-) )invades, depicts their trials and tribulations of fighting back and eventually...nah, won't give away the ending,.

For those of you who are Patrick Swayze fans this was an excellent drama movie definitely for those of us who remember the 80s this is one to pick up

I have always enjoyed this film. Given our current obsession with our boarders it now seems like a propaganda movie. If you can overlook that issue it is an entertaining story.

The price was right for this classic 80’s action movie and it’s great to see it on my 44” Samsung 4K TV. Movie has such a great cast too

Although the scenarios presented in Red Dawn are and were very unlikely, it is an interesting film to watch with hindsight.
