Customer Ratings & Reviews

As I saddle up once more into the sprawling, untamed world of Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PlayStation 5, I am struck anew by the sheer magnitude of Rockstar's achievement. Originally a triumph on the previous generation of consoles, this upgraded version elevates an already outstanding game to even greater heights. **Graphics and Performance:** From the first breathtaking vista of the rugged heartlands to the smallest details of Arthur Morgan's weather-beaten hat, every pixel on the PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption 2 is a testament to Rockstar's dedication to realism. The game runs smoothly at a glorious 4K resolution, with enhanced textures and lighting that breathe new life into an already stunning world. Whether riding through a thunderstorm or witnessing a vibrant sunset over the plains, every moment feels meticulously crafted for maximum immersion. **Gameplay and Mechanics:** Red Dead Redemption 2 remains a tour de force in open-world gaming. The depth of its systems—from hunting and crafting to the intricacies of maintaining your camp—adds layers of realism that make every decision impactful. On the PS5, these mechanics feel even more responsive, with faster load times and improved frame rates enhancing the fluidity of gunfights, horseback riding, and exploration. **Story and Characters:** At its core, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a narrative masterpiece. The tale of Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang unfolds with Shakespearean gravitas, exploring themes of loyalty, betrayal, and the inexorable passage of time. The PS5's enhanced audio and visual fidelity deepen the emotional impact of every story beat and character interaction, making the journey through the game's extensive campaign all the more poignant and unforgettable. **Multiplayer and Online Experience:** Red Dead Online continues to evolve as a dynamic multiplayer experience, offering everything from cooperative missions to competitive showdowns in a shared open world. The PS5 version benefits from improved stability and faster matchmaking, ensuring a smoother experience whether you're forming a posse with friends or exploring the frontier solo. **Conclusion:** Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PS5 is not just a game; it's a testament to the heights that interactive storytelling can achieve. With its breathtaking visuals, refined gameplay mechanics, and engrossing narrative, this definitive edition reaffirms Rockstar's status as a pioneer in the gaming industry. Whether you're a returning gunslinger or a newcomer to the frontier, Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PS5 is an essential experience that demands to be played, savored, and remembered. **Rating: 5/5** - A masterpiece that sets a new standard for open-world gaming on the PlayStation 5.

Red dead 2 for ps4 is a very big open world game awaiting a ps5 remaster. The story mode characters are the best part of the game when you've played red dead 1 you'll know part of johns story and how red dead 2 basically leads you into red dead 1 its really dope being able to see marstons gang before they split up and seeing how there life was on the run in the wild west. As for online its really slow paced , pvp and game modes. Includes some story missions and roles you can take up such as a bounty hunter collector and a trader the game slowly gets updated which kills it for alot of players including my self which i still play time to time for the memories but the content they release is only exciting for the first hour or so and then the game is back to being boring again.

One of the most legendary games I have ever played. There is so much substance in this game and details within the story that transcend the bounds of typical games. Modern AAA games have little creativity and attempt to pander to everyone, making them lose the depth of their stories and garnering little interest for the rest of the play-through. This game alone reminds me of how classic games had one motive and it was to develop things because they were fun to them and just because they can. I would like to touch on the subject of the storyline but that would leave too many spoilers, but let us just say that you can choose to play as an absolute devil of a gunslinger or a selfless being; with respective outcomes to the storyline. You can ride horses, rope bandits and hogtie them, choose the Cattleman lifestyle or semi-automatic, hunt animals and harvest flora to craft special tonics. The introduction to the game does take a while and reminds me a bit of Oregon Trail strangely in the sense that you are met with the harsh conditions and the members of the gang make decisions to make their survival – portraying how crude the world is in that age. There are several things that I can go on about for this game but the rest is to be enjoyed and experienced. If you are a fan of mystery, older way of life, history, scientific advancement, drama and incredible suspense with an even more astonishing climax this is the game for you.

I bought a PlayStation 4 based off the promise that this game would launch on the console and I am not disappointed! The graphics are the best ever in a video game I’ve ever seen, the open world is lush and organic feeling, the writing is amazing and overall this is a game that is already one of the greatest of all time! Amazing job by rockstar games. If you have a PS4 or Xbox one this game needs to be in your collection!

This game is excellent! This is not my first time playing Red Dead Redemption 2, but I had to buy the game for my self I was absolutely hooked. I love that there are spontaneous side quests that pop up around the map. Each and every one of those storylines are very well written and provide variety to the game. Sometimes I don’t feel like going on the story mode missions, so instead I have the choice to explore the world and complete fun challenges and mission. Seriously, this game never gets old I can play for hours on end without ever getting bored.

Things that make the game great: Great realistic graphics, interesting characters, realistic dialog, interesting storyline, open world, free roam, the ability to improve and better the main character or not. Consequences and choices matter. The ability to continue the game after the main story ends. Really cool slow motion. Seriously, who wouldn't love this game?

Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS5 starts off slow, but once it finds its footing, it really pulls you in. The world is incredibly detailed and feels alive, from random encounters to the changing weather and landscapes. The story builds gradually, and when it hits its stride, the characters and emotional depth make it hard to put down. Gameplay can feel deliberate and a bit heavy at first, but it fits the tone of the game and becomes more enjoyable over time. Overall, it is a beautiful, immersive experience that rewards patience and delivers one of the most memorable stories in gaming.

I bought the physical copy at Best Buy and everything was excellent. The buying process was smooth and the disc arrived in perfect condition. Even though the game requires a large installation, I prefer having the physical disc for my personal collection and the ease of installing it without relying 100% on internet speed. Regarding the game, it’s a Rockstar masterpiece. Arthur Morgan’s story is deep, the world is incredibly detailed, and graphically it still looks better than many current games. If you love open worlds and great storytelling, this is a solid purchase from Best Buy.

One of the most comprehensive games in history. Story, gameplay interactions are all top tier

By far, hands down the best game, the only PS4 game I own and actively play on my PS5. Love the graphics and the story.

Hands down one of the best PS4 games ever made! Hours and days will flyby playing this! Awesome story! Looks great on the PS5!

I bought this game for my boyfriend for his birthday. WORST MISTAKE EVER! Although, this game is probably the best that has ever been invented graphics are so realistic. I loved watching him play. But warning this game is the devil in disguise. I literally lost my boyfriend for a whole week to this game. So many late nights of him screaming and cussing because he ran his horse into a tree or a rock. Lord bless it when he failed a mission and had to do it 4x over. This game makes you develop a love hate relationship. I don’t know whether to hate the game or my boyfriend. So to the lady’s beware but your man will love you. SO BUY IT!

It really is an excellent game, but the beginning is too boring, be patient.

Best game in a very affordable price ! Thanks to Best Buy for giving a chance like that ! Thank you again folks

Own it digital but had to get physical. A fun and enjoyable games. Long hours of fun game play

Grabbed RDR2 for just $19.99 from Best Buy and the experience was top-notch. The game is absolutely stunning and lives up to all the hype, definitely a must-play and it also included a map of the game actually was great. Big shoutout to the staff at the store for the great service; they were friendly, knowledgeable, and got me in and out quickly. Great game, great service, and a great price. Can’t ask for much more than that!

[Employee of bestbuy] I used to play the real OG read dead revolver! And they keep making the red dead games and I'm so stoked about it! They really do an amazing job!! It's pretty realistic in a lot of areas of the game and it's overall just a super fun experience and great game to play!

I bought this game for my son and he loved it and played it over the summer everyday. This is a must buy for your child.

I hate to throw around words like immersive, but this game truly is. Everything about this masterpiece screams realism, from the way the snow deforms around your boots, to the way a shotgun blast sends a man flying. The game has been a joy to play. I’ve loved every minute of it. If you’re a fan of video games at all, get this. I’d honestly recommend it to anyone.

Best game I ever played. Highly recommended for gamers.
