Some very fun and unique moments as only rockstar games can do it. I am more of a linear gameplay person and there is a lot of horse riding, but if you follow the story and go straight to the “yellow” markers you will have some cool moments

RDR 2 is a great all-around game. It's very easy to get lost in the wilderness completing tasks that would otherwise mundane.
