What a great game! Really hard learning curve though. You literally start the game trekking uphill both ways in the snow! And it's every bit as arduous as you would think. Well worth the frostbite though. Coming into the valley for the first time is amazing. Open world map feels even more massive than it actually is. Controls also take a bit of getting used to. I actually shot a paperboy instead of buying a paper off him..... my bad... I made it into the paper the next day though! Paid a fine and the town forgave me. Just don't want it to end :[ take a breather from the main story every so often. You will be glad you did down the trail.

I have been waiting for this game to come out for 7 or 8 years and it was worth the wait! The graphics and game play are cutting edge! Especially the immersive open world game play!

Great follow up to one of my favorite games of all time. Amazing Graphics, especially on Xbox One X (Big Step up from regular Xbox one btw) I though John Marston could not be topped but i was wrong. Arthur Morgan is an amazing protagonist and fills the shoes quite well. He will be a very complex and memorable character for you. There are also amazing details all over the game in the open world, such as how characters interact with each other and how Arthur reacts to the world. The story dragged near the end but overall it was a great piece. It is definitely worth sitting through. You will have the story in your head for years to come.

Set 12 years prior to the first game, you're Arthur Morgan, a member of Dutch's gang, the one that John Marston was forced to hunt in the previous game. On the run from the law and trying to survive in the large frontier, you have to hunt animals, trade for goods, build up your camp, and try to survive. The game is quite massive, with a ton of activities to do, people to interact with. There's a main story quest, as well as side missions, and you have to maintain Morgan's health and we'll being, as well as trying to avoid trouble or face it head on. A gorgeous game as well, but it'll take up over 100GB of space, and comes on 2 Blu-Rays.

Rockstar received negative press prior to the release of this game for overworking their employees, but I have to say their hard work paid off. I am in no way shape or form condoning their actions, however it is possible to see that a lot of hard work went into this game. As of right now I would place this game in the same breadth as Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I know a lot of people still gravitate towards that game for it's open world. Red Dead Redemption however might be a little better in my opinion. It's an expansive open world with endless possibilities set in the Old West with gunslingers and outlaws. What more could a gamer want.

This is one of the best games that I have played. Graphically it is beautiful and combat still uses the dead-eye system from the first game. The movement and controls can feel plodding and slow when compared to other games, but if you play the game at your own pace and not worry about getting 100% on your first play-through you will have an enjoyable time. I love the setting of 1899 America and the last days of the outlaw. It paints and interesting picture of the state of America at that time, while not being a perfect story there are interesting twists and turns that kept me interested to see how the story played out.

This game is not run/gun and with limited online play it’s not for everyone. If you enjoy story progression and open map roaming with numerous side missions and interactive environments, then this game is for you. Two items a big miss for me in this game and only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. First, game saving should include more frequent checkpoints. You’ll find yourself replaying missions or having to re-travel for some time before you can get back to where you left off. Don’t let your character die and you’ll be fine, otherwise prepare for some boring replay. 2nd- the open world is fun, but you’re required to travel through much of it without a true sensible “fast travel” option. Meaning you’ll need to complete some mini missions along the way prior to main story mode. Not the end of the world, but can be annoying. With these minor flaws it’s still an impeccable game with amazing 4D graphics. I’ve always been a Wild West fan and Red Dead is one of those games that gets it right. This is a Mature game for high school age + . The content and language may be a little much for middle school/younger.

Mostly just live riding around on a horse, but great story and everything feels so alive in the game. Quick delivery and no blemishes.

I was going to write a review when I finished the game but I'm only 35 percent complete. Great story, graphics, long game play and would definitely be buy again.

Great gameplay, sounds, voice acting, and story. I think the only thing that brings this game down is the controls. The character is so animated that he almost feels like driving a tank through a round-about. Sometimes over-realism can ruin a game. This just makes this game shy of a masterpiece.

This is without a doubt the most beautiful game I have ever played. Great story telling, and classic fun emergent Rockstar action combine for a fun experience. I have to dock a star for the control scheme, which was clunky when Rockstar first implemented it back in the day and hasn't aged well.

First off, this game on Xbox One X is incredible! This game is simply amazing, to the graphics, gunplay, and even voice acting. I found myself being lost in the story, despite my disinterest in the western style. The game, ontop of an amazing story, also has very fun gameplay with a variety of guns within the western time period. Ultimately, this game has plenty of things to sink your time into and combined with great story, fun gameplay, and beautiful graphics, which all correspond with eachother very well. This game is perfect!

Red Dead Redemtion is widely considered Rockstar games greatest game & within a lot of peoples top 10 lists. This game surpasses the first, the story is one of the best told. You feel for most of the characters in the game & the main antagonist Arthur Morgan is a perfect leading man. The world is sprawling with things to do & random events & plenty of side quests. The only one negative is the controls, I know not everyone will agree but sometimes they can be wonky. Only came across a few glitches. 10/10 a must play if you like games.

Looks amazing on the new XBOX Series X, paired with my Vizio Mseries 4K tv. The story is great, almost like you are in a movie and Rockstar nailed this game, there are many things to do apart from the main story, hunting, fishing, robbery’s, or just enjoying the view. Often find myself taking screenshots cause it looks so good. Would defiantly recommend for anyone who likes rockstar games and a good single player story driven game.

I've never really given much attention to westerns, and I can understand why this game may not be for everyone. However, after seeing trailers, it got my attention. I figured I'd give it a try. I'm not very far into the game, but I am absolutely enjoying it so far. I can see where some people may say this is slow, and I feel the controls need a little getting used to. The style of this game I think are for certain people and not everyone. But I love it, the story, side missions, seeing the western lifestyle. The game is beautiful.

Not sure how to sum this game up other than saying wow. Definitely enough content for hours and hours of continuous play. I've had the game for a couple of weeks now with several hours in and I've barely scratched the surface of missions and side stories that they offer then today they sent another update to the game enhancing features. Can't wait to see how the story ends. Would definitely suggest reviewing some of the hidden starter gyms on YouTube to enhance your gameplay as there are details as to how to get your warhorse.
