Red Dead Redemption GOTY edition is a must play for any action adventure gaming, open world sandbox, and GTA fan. The story and characters are very entertaining and the gameplay will be all too familiar to any fans of the GTA series but with some added features which will make this game standout on its own.

The game is fun but the body count does stack up. A lot of side quest options but they do repeat themselves. Can spend considerable time trying to complete the challenges.

Red Dead Redemption is a must-play game. Rockstar has taken the Western to new heights and created one of the deepest, most fun, and most gorgeous games around. You can expect the occasional bug or visual hiccup, but you can also expect a fantastic game that offers the Western experience we've all been waiting for. Red Dead Redemption is a complete game in every sense -- both the single player and multiplayer modes are excellent -- and still manages to offer an attention to detail you rarely see from a game of this scope.

I have been staying away from RDR for a long time since I haven't had the time to actually play, but after it was the Deal of the day I just couldn't resist. The game is pretty long and has tons of content without taking into consideration the multiplayer and zombie campaign. It does have the feel of a GTA, except you are in the wild west, so don't expect all the flying crazy action you can pull on GTA.

The game is fun the story was long and had lots of side missions but the online was not what I was looking for

Great game, I had held off buying a PS3 after having had the PS1 & a PS2. But this game I have wanted since it came out & finally broke down & bought the PS3 & the game. Love the challenges in it & the gameplay is excellent.

Im not a huge gamer anymore and it doesnt take much to entertain me. I have the orginal for the PS2 and this is very similar. Great to kill time with like other rockstar games. Plenty to do besides the missions. Im going to look for other red dead titles when im done this.

I haven't completed the game yet, but what I have done so far is really great. I did not play Red Dead Revolver, but I feel that I didn't need to know what had happened in the first game cause this one jumps right in. I've done a few multiplayer rounds with friends via PSN, and sometimes I get extremely slow load times. That is the only thing that has bothered me so far.

I love this game. Game of the year edition includes all dlc. I have replayed this game over and over again. Many of hours of fun in the Wild West. I would recommend this game to any gamer.

My son has wanted this game for a while now. I finally got it for his birthday and he went nuts. Game has given him hours of enjoyment. Seems a bit gory and bloody to me but I guess this is what kids are playing today.

This game is amazing Rockstar games did it perfectly. Anyone who is a fan of Zombies, Westerns and GTA will love it

This is one of the best games of the last 5-10 years in my opinion, and with the game of the year edition it's an unbelievable value

Red Dead Redemption tells the story of John Marston, a man who must confront his past in this wild western epic from Rockstar. With great gameplay, an engrossing story, and loads of extra content, Red Dead Redemption manages to captivate you right up to the point of it's climatic ending. Red Dead Redemption explores the dark past, and dangerous present, of former outlaw John Marston. After his wife and son are kidnapped by the government, John has no choice but to comply with their demands. He must return to his old, killing ways, and hunt down his former gang members, the outlaws he used to run with. This proves to be no easy task, leading him on a wild goose chase, filled with memorable characters and events, notably an assault on one of the gang hideouts known as Fort Mercer. The story never ceases to enthrall, growing more and more exciting up until the point of it's action-packed, climatic, and memorable ending. Red Dead Redemption is packed with extra content, from poker, to hunting, even dueling, there is so much stuff to do that its almost overwhelming at times. Want to make some quick cash (or lose, as the case may be)? Head into any one of the game's saloons to find men sitting around playing poker, blackjack, or even liar's dice. Place your bet and join in. Increase your fame, honor, and money by taking on one of the game's many bounty hunter missions. Lasso a horse and break it in, then head into the woods to hunt elk, deer, grizzly, or any one of the game's 37+ animals. Take part in challenges like Sharpshooter or Treasure Hunting, and help out random people you meet along the way. There is so much to do that flesh out the game's experience that it's almost unbelievable at times. The gameplay is great, and the controls feel just right. At the normal setting, the aim assist helps to make combat and hunting more fluid, without making it too easy. Whether riding a horse or fighting the law, the controls are almost perfect, allowing you to run, jump, aim, and shoot almost anywhere you want. Even a simple task like picking flowers for the Survivalist challenge manages to be fun thanks to such incredible control. Then you get introduced to dead eye, which slows down time and helps to make an accurate and rewarding shot, later versions even let you paint multiple targets before taking them all down in a quick, successive, and gratifying way. Whether tackling the game's many story missions, or cheating at a quick hand of poker, Red Dead Redemption never ceases to delight. With so much to do, and so much to unlock, the experience not only satisfies, it also lasts for quite a long adventure. In the end, Red Dead Redemption manages to be one of the greatest games on the PlayStation 3 system, and therefore earns a rightful place on any gamer's shelf.

Great game, lots to do! I could play this game hours on end! They should make a sequel!

Overall, great game that everyone should try out. It shows off the PS3 graphics and has a well constructed storyline too.

Great game. Must play if you like Rockstar Games such as Grand Theft Auto.
