This product came in good time and I enjoyed it. Thanks. Buyers should beware that this is not a season for Red Dwarf. This is more like a movie. It has no laugh tracks except maybe for yours. lol. All the same, this is excellent for Red Dwarf fans.

Red Dwarfers get back to Earth, only to find things not what they seem to be. Leading to funny encounters with some people. Great TV special.

    Here's hoping they make a season 10!

Dispite the differences in the look and feel of "Back to Earth", which did not gel with the first eight seasons, for those of us who have been Red Dwarf fans since the early 90's, it was wonderful to finally have new Dwarf to watch. I have been hearing since 1999 that they were trying to make a Red Dwarf movie, and have been impatiently awaiting ever since. This "season" pays homage to the preceding 52 episodes and is a joy to watch, if you are a Dwarf fan. Rimmer, Lister, Kat, & Kryton are funnier than ever! There are even a few "touching" moments that add to the story, and explain what happened to KK. It has me itching for more, and hoping that this will spur a season 10, 11, 12,.........

Oh, it has sure been a long time since we've last seen the crew of the mining ship Red Dwarf! I'll make this short. If you are any sort of a Red Dwarf fan, you'll want to see Back To Earth. Though some people have complained about it, I personally think the plot is interesting and original. All the original cast is intact (except no Holly) and have aged remarkably well. Though maybe not quite as good as some of the earlier series, it has quite a lot of laughs. The extras are fun as well, with cast commentary, a making-of documentary, and even some neat little segments that originally aired on the Dave UK network and on the Internet. The one with Cat on Mars is fantastic! The only real negative is the 3-epsiode length. Since it plays together on the DVD, It's more of a movie than a series. But the great thing, if you're a fan, is in how they've nearly promised us another series in the future. (You'll understand this once you've watched it.) So, stoke yourself a clipper and watch Back To Earth for Christmas!

What a tragic end to an amazingly funny show. The plot was lame, the writing weak and the acting uninspired. It seems as though everyone was under contract and just wanted to get it over with. Save your money and buy one of the full seasons.
