This is an under-rated sci-fi movie in my opinion. It has a solid cast with Val Kilmer, Carrie-Ann Moss, Tom Sizemore and Benjamin Bratt among others. Special effects are solid as is the story. and it's priced under $10 at Best Buy. Great deal!

Great movie, and almost perfect picture when upscaled to 8k

Bought this on Blue Ray so I can watch in HD and it was worth it. One of my favorite Mars movies.

Surprisingly entertaining movie with people from earth trying to colonize mars by terraforming it due to earth dying. Good cast, story and looks visually stunning for a 20 year old movie. If you like Sci-Fi movies I would suggest checking this out.

This is a good science fiction film about Mars. The story has some intriguing moments for the crew. The robot in the film was a great idea for the film. The cast is excellent. Definitely worth checking out this classic sci-fi film.

I'm a sucker for science fiction. I enjoyed this movie more than Mission to Mars, which came out around the same time. As a plus, this title was eligible for Vudu's disc-to-digital program, so I was able to add it to my Ultraviolet collection.

The acting here is 1st rate with Carrie Ann Moss, Val Kilmer, Tom Sizemore and Terrence Stamp [notorious of Billy Budd years ago] all doing well. The Martian landscape is also well depicted. Shortcomings: Just 2, dated technology and a somewhat hokey bug population on Mars.

It's a pretty good movie. Not an B movie but not tha best either.

red planet is a good movie and alot better then the movie mission to mare that came the same year as red planet i saw mission to mar in theaters and it was just ok at best but i skip red planet in theaters and just blind buy it on dvd when it came out and i was shock how much better it was than mission to mars and when it came out on blu-ray i bought again and all i can say it looks and sound good on blu-ray and it has all the extras that the dvd had on it so if you like red planet than i would check it out on blu-ray
