The plot was good, but it seemed to drag a little in parts.

Good story good action worth the watch. Good plot twist

Ballerina Dominika Egorova is recruited to 'Sparrow School,' a Russian intelligence service where she is forced to use her body as a weapon. Her first mission, targeting a C.I.A. agent, threatens to unravel the security of both nations. Red Sparrow shows a topical issue, gives its viewers lots of action and heart pounding moments and the actors are impressively good. Don't miss it.

In a field of thrillers loaded with Russian spy movies, this isn't too bad. You really do have to pay attention to details to get the most out of the slow-burning story, and there ARE subtle levels of depth to be unpicked in appreciating motives.

Reminds me of The girl with the dragon tattoo with Mara.

It was alright,but Jennifer Lawrence was the best part.

Never got a chance to see this in theaters so I purchased it during the holiday deals. This is a pretty good movie with decent acting and a typical cold war spy story. At the price I paid I thought it was worth it. Will watch it again sometime.

Red Sparrow is a very different role for Jennifer Lawrence but she did well. She stepped into a gritty and dangerous character that was often times vulnerable, raw, and highly graphic. The movie still kept a very human connection that made you feel for the characters.

Great double agent action, definitely has its moments.

Great movie if you are a fan of Jennifer Lawrence.

I purchased this movie a few months after I purchased ANNA. I enjoy a great spy flick and Red Sparrow did not disappoint. It was a long movie, but I was never bored. It did not have too much action, just the right amount. The actors did not overact and special effects were believable. Red Sparrow is a great addition to my Spy collection.

Great movie, very raw, definitely entertaining. Lawrence puts on a great performance as does the rest of the cast. Story is very intriguing yet feels like a propaganda film... it’s missing something yet I can’t put my finger on it. Definitely a good watch!

I was pleasantly surprised by this spy thriller starring Jennifer Lawrence and Joel Edgerton. It was well written and well acted. This is a beautiful SteelBook, but the glossy finish with the black paint makes this a fingerprint magnet!

Enjoyed this movie as it is a spy thriller with a lot of twist and turns. Like the Blu-Ray, DVD Digital package as we keep the Blu-Ray, give the DVD to one son and upload the digital copy so our other son in Chicago can watch it also. Digital copies are also great if traveling and want to be able to watch a movie on your electronic devices.

Top notch movie with packaging that includes DVD, BD and digital copy for a good price. Surprisingly, digital copy options are: 1) movies anywhere; or 2) vudu/fandangoNow. I chose option 1 because that option includes iTunes. However, found out afterwards that it does NOT include UVVU (UltraViolet) copy. Perhaps option 2 gives you UVVU, but NOT iTunes. Content provider battle?

This is an excellent film, don't listen to the critics! The steelbook cover is also minimalistic, but looks great on the shelf! In terms of video quality, this film has a 4k digital intermediate and looks super clean as it was digitally shot. The HDR is subtle but very effective, especially with the night scenes and highlighting the reds.

Red sparrows are some of my favorite native birds. I think few would argue watching a red sparrow flutter through nearby flowers is anything short of a look into our own souls. The way they nimbly glide through the air like we drift through time and space. Marvelous. I was thinking this would be a documentary about our red friends, hosted by the enigmatic Jennifer Lawrence. Instead there were zero red sparrows from what I saw. I fast forwarded (outside of a few scenes with Jen).

Good movie the only problem was I didn't open it for several months after purchase and once i did it didn't include the slip for the digital copy. Neither best buy or the studio would help with the issue.
