different role for jennifer lawrence but she did a great job in it totally sold herself as a dancer turned spy that would do anything to get what she wanted

Lawrence surprises with his extraordinary performance in Red Sparrow. The film is sometimes repetitive in the genre of espionage. The freedom with which Lawrence develops character on stage leads to the unexpected ending. Good movie for a Saturday night movie.

Not sure if I'll revisit this movie a lot over the years. But the picture and sound quality of the UHD is top-tier, and it's a great looking steelbook.

Would not be worth the original $29 price. Wait til it goes on sale. Purchased on Black Friday for $14, now it's worth buying. Pretty good movie too.

Jennifer Lawrence does a great job and I really liked the movie. It is dark so I think you’d need to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy it though.

This was an overall good movie to see. The story is good. It keeps you interested in whats going to happen. It had my full attention and had a great plot twist. Overall I recommend this movie to anyone that likes a good story. Not a whole lot of action though

A good spy thriller gets the 4K steelbook treatment and it looks good. I liked the movie and I think Jennifer did a decent job in the part. The overall package is good, but there is no digital in this one.

Could have been just a bit more unpredictable but it was unpredictable if you know what I mean. Not as explicit ad I thought but that's a good thing.

Spy thriller with a few interesting twists, solid acting performances and highly thought provoking. The level of violence and nudity make it one to avoid if there are young ones around, but definitely worth the watch.

The Red Sparrow is an intriguing sexy spy thriller that keeps you guessing as to the machinations of the lead character. Jennifer Lawrence plays a convincing role of a desperate girl in the Soviet age doing what she must to survive. Great Blu Ray extras.

I haven't seen the movie yet, I've not had enough time to watch it. My opinion is, Jennifer Lawrence is a great actress so the movie has to be good.

I went into as not much of a J-Law fan, like at all. I came out with a new appreciation for her, and not just cuz she looks so good naked. Tense thriller with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing up to the end, superb cast and well shot.

The film was well done, acting was good. The plot was a little convoluted at times. I will probably watch it again to fill in the missing pieces.

Excellent movie. Missed seeing it in the theaters, but not on purpose. To be honest, the trailers did give the impression that it was going to be a rip off of the Marvel character Black Widow. Friends said it wasn't and they were so right. Get it.

Glad got it on sale. Takes some time to get into the plot. Movies are starting to blend with TV and movies. Salt- the Americans- Bridge of Spies.

This is about a dancer that hurt herself dancing and was forced into the secret Red Sparrow orginazation to spy on the United States. She went through different sexual training to get some secret information from our spies. The ending was great!

Pretty good movie with a descent plot. Not quite as exciting as I had hoped it to be but I did enjoy it and don't regret buying the movie.

Who's the intended audience for a movie like this? It's cringe worthy at best. The jacket story line reads "a former ballerina forced to enter sparrow school, a secret government program that thrusts her into a treacherous espionage game between Russia and the CIA"... but that description doesn't come close to the real story which is one of depravity..Don't believe the 4 stars on the jacket cover...it's a hustle.
