A very underrated fighter pilot movie! It has great fighter pilot sequences, great action, great performances and great direction from Anthony Hemingway! Also a great looking Blu-Ray! If you love films like Top Gun and Flyboys, you’ll like this one!

Good movie with great actors, but the studio came up short with the graphics at some points.

In 1925, the US Army wrote that "coloreds" were incapable of anything technical, including advanced fighter aircraft, much less aerial combat. Their squadron took it upon themselves to disprove that statement by going head to head with the best fighter jocks in the Luftwaffe and showed the powers that be they were dead wrong about them. You get to know a number of their personalities, their quirks and foibles that come with being human. Having been an Avionics Technician in Carrier Airwing Light Attack, I empathized with their maintenance crew, especially the Crew Chief who was always being presented with a shot up airframe, and one time a piece of a train. Frustrated, he had to ask, "Did somebody throw a train at you?" There were those who called them uncomplimentary names at first, but by doing their job and keeping those men alive, the Red Tails gained the respect and admiration of many. Good movie.

The movie is about a group of Afro American Air Force pilots serving their country during World War II. They were known as the Tuskegee Airmen. But, it was their heroics in the planes that they flew ( The North American P-15 Mustangs) that they made history in. And this was after all the racism that they faced, and were finally allowed to prove themselves worthy after a successful trial run protecting a group of B-52 bombers on a airstrike mission!!

One of many of my favorite WW2 movies. The acting, storyline and cinematography was excellent. Have already watched it twice on movie channels and could watch many more. The untold story of the Tuskegee airmen it definitely a must watch.

The movie strays a little bit from fact (bomber crews never knew the Red Tail pilots were black, except for one crew that crash landed outside a Red Tail base), but other than that -- great movie!

Going Into This Movie With The Knowledge My Father Gave Me And Of Course History, This Movie Made Actually Was Pretty Good. I Am So Glad George Lucas Had A Passion About A War Such As This. The Visuals Are Excellent And It Makes Me Feel More Patriotic In A Sense. Check It Out For Yourself.

My son wanted to purchase after some they was referencing it in school.So I order the movie for him and he loves it . My kid has great taste in movies! Would recommend .

If you love history this is it, Red Tails, 1944 Black pilot, action adventure the true story about the black Pilots, who has to prove that they are great Pilots. Fight for our country. Guarantee you will love this movie!

Wonderful movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it with my Christmas and guests. Will definitely be purchasing more box sets from Best Buy.

Great movie must have for war buff collector. Tuskegee Airman will leave you hanging wthout this.

if you like war movies well you have a treat cause it's not only a war movie but is based on history. I think this movie was done well and really enjoyed

Prior to this dvd, best dogfight of fighter planes was in "TOPGUN" dvd. The effects in "REDTAIL's" dogfight takes surround sound to another level

There is nothing bad about this movie. The acting was outstanding, the cinematography was outstanding, and the plot was amazing!!!

I enjoyed the DVD of Red Tails. It showed how the African American pilots were treated so unfairly during World War 2.

This is a great movie for a war movie ,good story, great action shots . George Lucas knows how to do CGI.

This movie really captured the diffrent opinions shared during the war. And also the courage that was needed to be a pilot. The cinematography that was used was also good.

Red Tails has good action and a good story based on factual events. It is a good movie.
