A few close calls with corners that were concerning but that overall install experience was good. Installers worked quickly and diligently. Offered information in the event that anything went wrong with the product to contact store.

Appliance Delivery Program Is the Worst!

I gave them 2 stars because they did not have shoe covers to protect my new carpet. The other deductions were not they’re fault (I don’t think it was) but the corporate/scheduler failed . It took weeks for my in-stock item to get delivered and I had to go thru too many unnecessary steps between corporate and 2 stores because of poor scheduling, logistics, and lies. I was told my appliance would be delivered on the Saturday of Easter weekend so I changed my plans. They were a no call/no show and I had to go to the store later that day for them to tell me that they were meaning to call me to cancel the delivery! nonetheless, I had to go back in the queue to get a new delivery date and time that took about a week.

Product was delivered, but not set 'installed'.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would have given the product a 5 star if the delivery person had set up the water line, but instead he caused a leak that needed repair by a plumber. I am still waiting to be credited the water line hook up feel. Also, I paid for an 'install' which technically never happened. Yes, the frig was delivered, but not set up. He left the frig full of tape, plastic and styrofoam. In addition, the frig doors are uneven and the frig had not been leveled.

Installed but with flaws

Refrigerator was installed but no features were demonstrated and when to expect ice. Installers left and we discovered the filter was never installed in the frig as well as packing tape removed from ice bins.

Great Service

We needed a water line installed for our new fridge. the installer arrived at the appt time, however he wasnt informed that he was going to have to crawl under my house and how long it was going to take. he politely explained to me that he would have to re-schedule. The same person arrived at the new appt time, crawled under the house and got it all done in a short time frame. went better than i expected!

Water and ice

They were very friendly. However, this was originally suppose to be installed in November, then December, finally got it done in January. The installing company messaged me both times and said an employee had Covid. I never heard anything from Best Buy for the delays though.

Great people and Careful!

They were careful with all the appliances and install went very smoothly. They did make an honest mistake though and hooked up the ice maker to the outside water line. When I winterized, I was no longer getting ice. Took me awhile to figure out why as I thought the Fridge was broken. Several months had passed since the install, but they came back and fixed the issue, no charge.

Installation of water line for refrigerator

Took 10 minutes for the guys to take out the old line and put in a new line. Wish it could have been done same day as delivery but still a great job done. Thank you!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After a month of a nightmarish service from bestbuy/geeksquad and the service actually done, we've decided to let potential future clients whether to use or not to use this service. Let's start from the pro's: -Cheaper than local service. -Qualify Personnel. -Great job done when its done. Now the con's and our experience: -First appointment was a no-show while everywhere it was marked as 'completed' -Extremely poor customer support. -Too much customer support departments which aren't connected with each other. -Even a supervisor couldn't reschedule the service which wasn't completed. -Extremely hard to get to speak with somebody in charge, which has the tool to fix a situation like that. -Promises of compensation which were just another lie to make me happy for a brief moment. In details. Our new refrigerator and delivery and new waterline install was split in half, the install should've been on Oct 20th, the waterline install on Oct. 26th. I took a day off on the second date. On the morning of Oct 26th I've noticed that service marked already as completed so I gave bestbuy a call to ask if they had a glitch and if my appointment is still valid. The operator said YES (even contacted the company as she said). No show by 5PM. Another call to bestbuy ended with, "we truly sorry but all we can do is file a complain and somebody will contact you in 24 hours". Nobody called me the next day, so I called bestbuy again. Same story: "somebody will contact you in 24 hours". Nobody called me the next day, so I called again. This time I've asked for a supervisor. I got to one after a lot of useless questions that I've explained several times, but what you gonna do for the service to be completed, right? The supervisor said that she's sorry and all that, but she can't give me a date for the new installation because service marked as completed. however she said the date will be updated in no time, and I shouldn't worry and I'll be compensated via gift card or credit whatever to ease my pain. Not a problem I've said. Double checked that the service ticket created w/o a date but still created. That evening I got an email that stated that my appointment was canceled, by me(????). Yeh so I was outraged at this point, but still haven't given up. I called the next day, and for some reason I was thrown between 7 different deparments and I talked to a lot of people that day who couldn't explain/understand what happening. I've been at the billing department for example when I supposed to go to the tech. dept. and you gotta understand, that everytime they ask THE SAME QUESTIONS and its annoying, now multiply it by 7. No luck that day anyway. Next day I've tried the 'online chat' feature. I figure maybe text based conversation might go better, I've waited for ~50 when I was told to 'briefly hold on' and then the agent disconnected. (WHAT?). Luckily for me the chat history was saved and the next agent could read my concerns, However, obviously he couldn't do anything, admitting he doesn't have proper tools to address my issue. Corp contact number was denied. After ending our conversation, I've rated the service itself (not the agent which was OK following their protocols) as useless, that bestbuy doesn't stand by its own standards and can't operate as a team when a mistake is made. I was ready to go in store and get a refund and use my local plumber. But next morning I've got a call from the corporate. She was able to give me a new date of installation (+4 weeks but still a solid date) and she promised me that she'll call me back and I quote "not later than tomorrow" to see if there's an option to expedite it with their field agents due the circumstances, our conversation lasted less than 5(!!!) minutes. Obviously she didn't call, obviously I had to wait almost a month and just yesterday I got everything installed. The team that arrived yesterday was professional and very nice. They performed very well and I've nothing against the actual service quality provided by them. However I've lost all my trust in bestbuy/geeksquad when it comes to services. Teaching tech. support people to be compassionate and just say "sorry sir, I understand you sir" never solves any problems, its a good start, but nobody calls you to hear I'm sorry. Most people call to get stuff done. I'm not paid by the hour to be on phone to get a looping endless sorrys, all I wanted that my problem to be solved under 30min in 1 time call. Hopefully I will never ever need to call you again, or, when I do, you've solved all your personnel efficiency and trustworthiness and your telephone department will start to respect customers time. Never again! A major headache!

Refrigerator was a gift but when it was purchased the giver did not know if we were recycling old fridge or if we wanted water line installed. Hence began the night mare. Telephone calls back and forth to the store number of times trying to get the arrangements right. Day of delivery plumber shows up at 8:00 am but no refrigerator yet and doesn’t plan to install the line as requested, he leaves. Refrigerator gets delivered around 4:00 pm but they have no order to recycle old refrigerator so won’t take it! I take the fridge apart carry out to my drive way, hire a guy to pick up and get rid of it. Best buy offered to pick it up for an additional charge of $149.00! I got rid it for $20. A complete disaster with the result being I will never buy anything from Best Buy again.

Great and terrible

The delivery gets three stars. The credit card and its customer service get one to zero stars. The Samsung refrigerator gets five stars. It is huge and yet fills the same space with room to spare for the one we replaced (25 years old). On the second delivery date the installers arrived on time and were gone along with old one in less than 45 minutes.

Refrigerator

Upon delivery, they worked very hard, but end up with some scratches on one side of refrigerator, some plastic protect sheet on refrigerator is unwrap and so is inside, didn’t explain how to adjust the temperature if needed or uses.

Good install, bad experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very knowledgeable guys who installed, however, they were the third set of guys that came to my house and first that told me they couldn’t install the water lines unless I paid MORE money to have them fix the piping. Never ordering from Best Buy again. Communication is incredibly poor and the delivery/installation team never knows what they’re supposed to be doing when they get to your house because Best Buy doesn’t communicate it.

Fridge Install

Because of the distance to a water line, a different line had to be used which resulted in low water pressure - returned the following week to redo the connection - all now good.

Refridgerator Install was definitely worth it

The installer unwrapped everything outside my home, brought the fridge in and hooked everything up. He centered it perfectly in the fridge space, handed me the owners manual and let me know what to do with the first batch of ice. He took all the trash with him and it was so easy and perfect. The only thing he missed was a couple pieces of clear tape on the ice bin - I kept thinking there was a secret latch - nope, invisible tape. I got the delivery and installation with any additional parts. It was definitely worth it. Also, for the ladies:: I am female and I live alone and I wasn't sure how this was going to go - the install guy was polite and not weird at all. I made small chitchat about the weather and we talked about all the deer running amok. Otherwise, I think he would have been happy to say nothing. I was worried about a strange man in my house - seemed like the beginning of a horror movie - and it was fine and everything went great. He wore the face mask inside. Very professional.

Enterprise Rent a Car??

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm writing this review because I want you the reader to make the right decision whether to hire a professional or have Best Buy send a 3rd party company to install your Advanced Installation Including New Ice Maker Water Source. I was not told by the associate or manager at Best Buy who would install the refrigerator or ice maker water line. I was under the impression it was the same person. I received a phone call the installer was on his way about 10 minutes till 8 a.m. and they would be arriving within 20 minutes. An Enterprise Rental Van showed up in front of my house promptly 20 minutes after the phone call and it was the technician....I use that term loosely....to install the water line. I asked what about the refrigerator? He said he is from a 3rd party company that installs ice maker water lines. I asked what the name of his company is and he said NJ APP. Not sure what that means and neither did the Geek Squad person I spoke with this morning. He noticed my refrigerator was not on the same wall as my sink and asked if there is a basement. I said yes but there is also a 4 foot high crawl space under where the sink and refrigerator were. He then looked under the sink and said he could not install because there is plastic(pex) pipe and not copper. He hands me the water line install kit that looked like it was from a hardware store and said he couldn't install that kind to the pipe. I said there are multiple ways to install the ice maker water line because not every home as the same set up and you should be prepared for that. He said sorry I can't install it and left. I called Best Buy, Geek Squad and the Manager of Appliances where we purchased our refrigerator. He said the tech wrote in the notes that the water line was not capable of being installed because of how far away the refrigerator is to the sink. I explained to the Manager at Best Buy this was not what he told me and explained this needs to rectified immediately because I paid for the service and the service has not been provided. I'm not expecting much going forward and will most likely be getting a refund and have to call a plumber. The average cost is about the same if you hire a professional. Truth be told I should've known but was told there would be no problem by the associate who sold us the refrigerator about installation and it's hassle free. They should get 0 stars.

Fridge Install

But they dropped a screw to the door handle and didn't realize it so said it wasn't included in the installation kit. I found it a week later and had to call to have someone come install the handle since the tool required to tighten it isn't something anyone has in their house.

Delivery and Install for online purchase

The delivery and installation went smoothly. I am a little disappointed that it has no internal water dispenser, as described in the online product specs. Also, I am unable to adjust shelf spacing so I can fit a six pack of beer (long necks) on a shelf. It fits in the door though.

Very Bad Delivery Service

Sometimes, they cancelled the day before, other times they simply didn't show up. The person who finally installed it was very efficient and friendly. But, the long wait and cancellations were terrible. Also, contacting Geek Squad was very difficult with many transfers and disconnects and people not knowing the real status of things.
