I wish I could tell you that I was able to use this product but I can't. The first one arrived and I was so excited to try it. Only problem was that the phone connector adapter was usb-c instead of micro-usb. It turns out that the unit ships with both but the usb-c is the one preinstalled. Just so happens that my phone needs the micro-usb. I have a Galaxy S7 Edge, so I chose the correct device to buy. So I talk to the geeksquad support, which by the way had no clue how this thing works, and they offered to send me another one. I was slightly inconvenienced but they got here quick. I open the box ready to finally check it out and what do I find? The exact same problem. It would seem that whoever is refurbishing these things don't have a samsung phone and don't use the gear vr.

This product stated that it fits the s6 when it does not. If you have a plus or note, it will fit specification standards.

I’ve seen them on display at the stores in LA and ATL but they were never working. I purchase them on sale impulse. I kept them but would have returned if I had paid full price.

The product was a true disappointment. I knew one side received it and open up the package that it wasn't going to be worth the money so I immediately returned it.

I recently got a Galaxy S7 Edge and wanted to take advantage of the Gear VR features. I thought I'd save some money by getting a refurbished VR. The VR arrived in it's original package and was like "brand new". It'll take a while for all of the necessary files to install/update on your phone but once it's finished, there's a ton of very cool content. My kids got a kick out of the "Face your Fears" app. I like that you can watch Netflix on the Gear VR. The touch pad on the side works very well but I think I might invest in the new controller that just came out. The Gear VR does use/drain your phone battery very quickly. What's nice about this model is that it does have a port in which you can connect a power cable. The port however is USB-C so if you have a Galaxy S7 or earlier, you'll need to get an adapter in order to use the port. You can probably find one cheap online or at a computer store.
