What a great performance by all the cast of characters. Not a personal fan of Adam Sandler but what an outstanding portrayal of a grieving husband and father grief stricken and we are aloud to be privy to his reunion with college roommate played by Don Cheadle. An All around a great movie!! Watch it once with friends and again by yourself so you can let go of your emotions and cry until you smile and enjoy each moment as these friends find their way back.

I'm sure I'm NOT the only one who ONLY watches ADAM SANDLER in serious dramatic roles! This was very emotional and full of drama and friendship.

Reign Over Me is one of the best and saddest movies I have ever seen. But don't let the depressing factor let your opinion of the movie change. This was easily one of the best movies of the past year. The movie is about Charlie Fineman, played by Adam Sandler, who is having trouble recuperating after the death of his wife and kids in the 9/11 attack. He runs into his old college roomate, Alan Johnson (Don Cheadle), who seems to be living the perfect life, but feels isolated trying to balance out work and family. They soon become close friends again, as Alan helps himself to live a more fun life. But when Charlie's problems become too much to deal with, Alan is determined to help Charlie come out of his sorrow. I don't see how this movie wasn't nominated for a single Oscar or Golden Globe, with a brilliant script, beautiful direction, and amazing acting. Adam Sandler gave the performance of a lifetime; he makes you laugh, cry, but mostly cry. Don Cheadle was also great, and deserved at least a Golden Globe. I recommend this movie 100%, you won't regret it.

Reign Over Me was truley a test to Sandlers acting abilities in which he passed amazingly. This is a great movie for any movie fan, even if your not a typical Sandler fan. This was his final step in acting to show he is more than just a comedic goof. He started with semi-acting in Big Daddy, then changed it up with Spanglish and a great job in Click but by far Reign Over ME is like no Sandler you,ve seen before. Don Cheadle put up one of his best performances yet to compliment Sandler in every way, they worked PERFECT together. Not to mention the great supporting cast, including Jada Pinkett Smith, Liv Tyler, Saffron Burrows, and Donald Sutherland. Every character had a different storyline and different problems as they all effected one another. Throughout the whole movie you see how much Sandler and Cheadles characters need each other. Without hesitation I recommend this movie to any movie fan, it honestly should been at least nominated At The Oscars, It is truley that good.

i never expected to see adam sandler in such a deep and serious role. it was amazing. i disagree with everything the professional review said. it leads me to believe that the reviewer went into it thinking he was going to get either a typical adam sandler movie or that it was going to be a movie focused soley on 9/11. Neither of which is the case. the fact that it focused on the remnants of a man's life after a tragedy rather than the fact that it was a 9/11 tragedy made it so easy to empathize with charlie. yes he was a difficult character to figure out, but once you realized what his issues are, it's so easy to empathize with him. it's a beautiful movie in which a real friendship resurfaces and helps both men involved. one of the all time best.

This is a great movie, I would strongly recommend it to any of my friends. I love watching Adam Sandler movies, and this one was one of his best. Liv Tyler also stars in the movie, and she's pretty gorgeous as always. I could relate to Charles Fineman (Adam Sandler) in this movie a lot, because he leads a realistic life for someone of his predicament. I felt sorrow during the movie sometimes as I have ties with the 9/11 incident as well. The acting in this movie is very good, and a clever mix of comedy and drama makes this a good movie to keep on the shelf.

This is a great movie showing that Adam Sandler is a great all around actor. This movie is filled with so many emotions that the person watching it can not help but feel all of them. I bought this movie just cause I am a fan of Adam Sandler, but after watching it the first time I just had to restart the movie again to watch it again. I watched this movie about 5 times with in the first 2 days I owned it. It is such a great master piece that you will fall in love with it and it will become one of your main movies in your collection.

Arguably the best 9/11 movie to date. Reign Over Me takes a very personal and close-up look at how 9/11 affects just one individual, a man who lost his entire family in the attacks. Great acting, as usual, by Don Cheadle, but Adam Sandler was a huge surprise. I usually avoid his comedies, but this time around, in a dramatic role, he really impressed. Plus, he looked so much like Bob Dylan in this movie that he just has to do a movie about Bob Dylan soon!

If you like Adam Sandler, especially in a movie like Click then you'll love this movie. It's a little darker or almost an independant type flick, which I usually don't care for, but I thought this movie was excellant. Funny, sad, encouraging, just overall very good. Great supporting cast like said in other reviews. I love every movie by Adam Sandler, I think personally his acting gets better and better in every movie he's in.

This movie proves that Adam Sandler is a brilliant actor. I was pulled in from the beginning and couldn't look away from my TV. Easily the best film I've seen in a long long while. Charlie Fineman is an intriguing character that you just have to love. A must see movie is your a person. Brilliant!

ADAM SANDLER IS AT HIS BEST. THIS MOVIE IS EMOTIONAL AND A TEARJERKER. DO NOT EXPECT THE USUAL SMARTA** SANDLER- HE SHOWS HE HAS HIS SHOWN HE CAN ACT HERE. SUPPORTING CAST IS AWESOME. THERE ARE SOME POINTS WHERE YOU WOULD NOT WANT A KID TO WATCH- MIGHT HAVE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS BUT VERY GOOD

Basically the pro review for this movie just bashes the entire thing, but myself along with everyone I know who has seen this film, loved it. I strongly suggest you see this flick and don't listen to a word that the movie review says.

Excellent movie, If your a big Adam Sandler fan you should get this movie. More of a drama than a comedy.

There were a few tears shed but I still laughed more often than cried. Don Cheadle is great, as usual. Adam Sandler was very good, but the voice he used was a lot like the comical voices he uses. The chemistry between Cheadle and Sandler is kind of iffy, but they pull it off.

This was a role that I have never seen Sandler in before but he did a very good job.

This is definitely an underrated film. Adam Sandler goes outside his comfort zone to play a different character than we're used to. Cheadle and Jada Pinkett are great together and the cast is great overrall. It's definitely worth watching.
