Based on watching the first few episodes of season 4 on tv now, I personally thought this was going to be another "story of The Tudors, or Elizabeth I. To my surprise, it is not. It tells the story of Mary Stuart / Mary Queen of Scots. I'm glad though, because her story has never really been told. Its about time! Anyway, the series is entertaining, and I like the way modern music is put to the dance and "other": scenes. As a series and not a documentary, some "liberties" were taken. Despite that, it is worth getting, if you are a fan of that time in history.

I love this series. It's nice to see work done on a character who usually only gets airtime during movies/shows about her cousin Elizabeth I. They have taken a lot of creative license in regards to costuming and some license with historical events, but it adds more than it takes away from the show. The cast is awesome and the heart of the series is true.

Okay, well, there's one thing that I must say about this series - it's so much fun to watch!! It's not historically accurate, and I have no idea why Mary, Queen of Scots and her ladies are wearing contemporary dresses in a lot of the scenes. And who knew that Prince Francis of France was the epitome of sexy and that he was the original Justin Bieber (pre-2013 Bieber, that is)?- "Don't forget Father, she's not only a queen, but a girl" - absolutely hilarious! Anyway, the acting is really good - the cast deliver ridiculous lines so well (Megan Follows is great!) I have to say that I want to know what happens in each episode, so it's not that bad a show. You just have to go in knowing that it's a tween/teen WB show, but adults can enjoy it too. This show has actually made me very interested in the real Mary, Queen of Scots and the other characters who are based on real people. Fascinating time period in that area of Europe. Recommended.

I have been watching this series for a while as they are quite a few seasons in. I saw this on sale at the store and decided I had to have it for my DVD library. I have enjoyed this series quite a bit so many twists and turns.

It's based on Mary queen of Scott land, I watch the pilot and from there I was hooked and I kepted watching it. So I was even more excited when I heard it was been released ..suck not in bluray tho

Interesting view of historical events with some twists. We can't anticipate the outcome of some situations. I like to watch few episodes at the time, especially without commercials.

The reviews were a mixed bag so i am so glad i bought season 1. The acting is excellent and storyline keeps one interested throughout. Anxiously waiting for season 2.

As someone who is not a fan of history, I was worried that I would not be able to get into this series...once I started watching it, I couldn't stop!

I missed this new series last year. I liked Reign. I will buy Season 2 when available. The background music is more modern. The costumes are beautiful.

This is a scripted historical drama on the CW and from the moment I started watching I was hooked!! AMAZING SHOW!!

Fun, but really a soap opera based on history. As an historical "purist", I have to keep reminding myself to just enjoy that this is a HIGHLY dramatized version of history. Slimly fact-based and not at all accurate in terms of the costuming, but if it gets the attention of people who would ordinarily not gravitate to history and encourage them to dig for the deeper truths, then ok. I will admit, that it has sucked me in (just like any soap opera).

Love anything with history especially if it involves Tudor history even though most of the show is just for entertainment and not 100% accurate

My overall review is I love the time period and sets, but the acting could been little bit less dramatic, and maybe little more mature

This series leans more towards being a chick flick with just enough fight seems to keep the guy in the house interested. A light version of GOT

A series that comes on the WB Network. Not up there with Game of Thrones but not having to pay it makes it a good series.

I really enjoyed this series on TV, therefor I bought it. Makes you want to fall in love and be daring. Gotta love that crazy queen too!

Great series. Even my husband enjoys it. Historical fiction with a modern freshness through music, subtle fashion, and intriguing drama.

It will keep u hooked. If u love history or just love entertainment this is a good pick.

This is one of the best series out there, especially if you love great costumes and some semi accurate historical fiction.
