I bought this item sight unseen because you didn't have one on display and it was advertised as not being a rocker. It IS a rocker!!!
Also, it takes VERY strong leg muscles to lower the footrest, more than any of us has. If it didn't rock when we tried to lower the foot rest, it probably would be easier, but most of the energy expended tring to force the footrest down is lost because it rocks when we try to push the footrest down and back. Very poor design! I asked in advance if it would be delivered fully assembled and I was assured that it would. Wrong! It required major assembly out of the box and the box was split in 3 places when it was delivered.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

It was pretty simple to assemble for me & exactly what i expected to recieve. No surprises. Its a traditional sofa chair that reclines with a basic massage system.
I would recommend this to a friend
