Originally bought for my wife. She did NOT have the strength in her legs to pull back/down on the 'flip-up' leg rest feature. We kept this one for myself and bought from another box store. Her new one has a 'handle' on the side that makes it much easier for her to pull the foot-rest in. PRO: All in all, I like this chair. Soft, comfy and I've even slept on it. :0 CON: I would not recommend this chair for seniors as it requires more strength to 'close' the foot rest and requires a bit more back strength to get up and out of it. One thing that the designer's could look into is... when 'fully reclined' all the way back there is a large gap between the seat and the back rest. My wife's new on doesn't have that gap. Just sayin. :)

The springs are so tight, I cannot close the recliner without tipping the chair on its bank and slamming it shut. Can anyone help?
