This review is for the installation service provided by Geek Squad which was excellent. Having Total Tech Support saved me a ton of money! I do not like the device I had installed. It doesn't replace my factory fob so I don't even use the remote start.

The staller was unable to install the harness on your website it stated that the harness could be connected to my 2018 Kia Optima but the installer was unable to connect the harness that was the main reason that I purchase that harness now I have a harness that I can't use because he was unable to be installed so I just wasted money buying that harness

Never again! After five appointments two of which were canceled, I am hoping that my truck will finally have everything I bought installed and installed correctly in a month and a half's time. The first appointment was fine I had a backup camera and stereo face put in my truck it was done correctly and quickly and I'm quite satisfied with it I had spinal/brain surgery and it really saves my neck, but the installation for my auto start security system has been nothing less than a nightmare. The first appointment for it after being half-installed with wires hanging out below my steering column I was told that I would have to go to a locksmith and have a second programmable key made so the tech could program the thing, That would have been nice to know before the installation. So I went and had a key made and returned but he still couldn't get it to work so he said he would need to contact the company that makes it for more details so we set up the next appointment before I left he did zip tie the wires out of the way after I mentioned it. The second appointment after coming in I was told he would be gone for a week and we would need to set up another appointment. The third appointment I was told the job was completed, but after I got my keys back and tried to unlock my truck with my new digital key fob it didn't work although the auto start did work and so did the security system. So I started my truck at which time it immediately threw two codes and informed me I needed to service my advance track and brake system both of which were not being thrown when I dropped it off and left it with them. So I pulled my truck around to the bay again so he could fix it hoping it was just a wire that got installed wrong or a connector that just didn't quite get pushed in far enough so the codes would stop being thrown and the locks would work, but he said he was going to need more time with it and he had other projects he needed to get done and his other time slots were full for the rest of the day, and so he could contact the company again for instructions I was reluctant to take my keys back because of the codes, but I had no other way home. Later I found out they told him he would have to hardwire it to my doors so that it would work. So we made the fourth appointment. At which time when I arrived I was told he would be gone for a month, and if I wanted it to be done any sooner I would have to go to another store which I'm not doing because I'm sure that will be another set of problems they would have no idea what the original tech did or that I have already paid for this service to be done or that the codes were thrown immediately after I received my keys back and started my truck and expect for it to be fixed before I was going to retake possession of my keys after this final appointment because I'm not about to push my luck any farther and drive a vehicle that is throwing a brake failure and track system code, but once again I had no way home so I was forced to drive it back home. Luckily I have a second vehicle so I can avoid driving it until he returns and find out if it is something more than the wiring or a fuse or that the computer needs to be restarted and refreshed after the wires were all pulled apart and reinstalled. So I was going to setup the fifth appointment, but the customer service guy told me that it was so far out I'd have to wait for the tech to get back to make the appointment so thanks for that I guess. Lastly, my new digital fob is rechargeable which I didn't know until I was looking at it a couple of days later and realized it had a battery life indicator, but I never received my charging cord luckily I had an old phone cord that worked. I am still hoping that when he gets back and finalizes the installation that the codes stop being thrown so I don't have to take it to a mechanic to find out what wires got crossed, and that everything will finally be installed correctly. I know during this Covid-19 pandemic stuff happens you don't have as long to work on things because store hours have been shortened and you don't have as many workers as normal. I also know when there is a family emergency whether it's yours or not you need to just cool your jets let it slide and just be a sympathetic person and pray that he and his family will be fine, but I really do hope that once he's out from the pile of neck-deep crap he is in right now my truck will finally be done and I can quit worrying about it and making unnecessary trips to town. This will also be the last time I will ever buy aftermarket equipment for any of my vehicles it's just too much of a hassle and this experience has left a definite bad taste in my mouth.

Bought 3 for installation. Got the notification that product is there and ready for installation. When I arrived for my appointment they told me they didn’t have my order. Yet the box with my name was there open and empty. They used it for someone else’s vehicle. The installer slipped and told me and show me the information. I went to customer service But yet they kept insisting that it was not there to my face when I had the picture of the item box order number and all. After an hour of them trying to figure out I was correct. They assured me they would have one. Picture of proof open box in their possession

I can see wires on steering column and trunk release bottom dont work I called the next day and the tech told me he can only hook up the trunk release button if I had an auto lift gate... my factory remote had the trunk release botton!!? I paid about 400$ because o got the geek squad membership and I had to buy additional equipment when I already bought the remote start of Amazon. They failed and I'm very unhappy about the trunk release bottom not working because I went out of my way to find a good remote start that had the trunk release bottom from Amazon. I will make a complaint with there manager in the near future maybe then they will hook up the trunk release button other then that it sometimes starts remotely with the botton on the first try usually for sure by the second or third and that's good enough to warm my car up on cold days or cool it on hot days witch was my main concern

Broke my car during installation process

Disappointed with the installation service at the Best Buy on Walden Galleria in Buffalo, NY. My car bracket broke during a car starter installation. Getting a replacement was a hassle - I had to jump through hoops to get it resolved. Best Buy should be more careful during installations and make the replacement process smoother.

you have falsified information here, this service was not completed and in fact has not been completed. After scheduling this appointment on Jan 19th and waiting for 2 months, I then get a voicemail that this install can't be done at this location. no help rescheduling or finding a new location. My calls and requests for a call back went unanswered. I will be returning this item and seeking services elsewhere. not one person was able to rectify this issue and I was told "we will call you back" time and time again.

After the Viper keyless entry was installed, I discovered they went through the VIN plate to bolt the siren on, then left the cord hanging lower than any other part of my vehicle, where it then went through a hole they drilled on my driver side floor and didn't seal against water. I went back to have them fix it, and was told that this was a proper install and they see no problem. I will be rewiring through the firewall myself and welding closed the hole in the floor myself.

I did the installation at arapahoe and vine st location and they drilled two holes in my Honda Pilot so I talked to the manager his name is Cole I sent him the pictures with my phone number through his email never responded me I left tons of messages in his voicemail never get a response I been your customer for many years I don’t deserve to be treated this way thx I don’t know what to do plz help me

The guys seemed to be nice and knowledgeable. But I was there a half hour ahead of my scheduled appointment But it was real close to two hours past my appointment before they got the car in they left a piece of trim off that I just went ahead and put back on myself so I didn’t have to deal with them because they already had another car pulled in behind me so I’m sure they were just as late. they did apologize for being late

Burned out the remote start and it was going to take 45 minutes and it was 3 hours later that he told me that the remote start doesn’t work and it worked at 9:00am that morning

Dash and steering column clips were broken upon removal. Shorted multiple brake system fuses and claimed my truck had issues they did not cause. Had another authorized installer look at system and make appropriate repair so we could safely drive vehicle home 350 miles. 8 hours for Not appropriate install procedure.

From start to finish, the experience was smooth, professional, and exceeded my expectations. Frank explained the entire process clearly, and made sure I was comfortable with each step of the installation. His attention to detail and commitment to doing the job right were truly impressive.
Frank was not only knowledgeable and efficient, but also friendly and respectful of my space. He took the time to walk me through the system after it was installed, answering all my questions and making sure I felt confident using it.

Alarm was installed relatively quickly, was explained thoroughly, and I've had no problem since. Only issue was a significant delay (around an hour) because the technician underestimated the complexity of the install. Nothing significant.
