Had to get this as soon as it came out. Played this game as a child and now played the remake with my son and brought back all those good memories of staying up late and not being able to turn off the PS1 because didn’t have a memory card jaja, those who know understand the struggle. Awesome remake just a bit easier now that you can save gameplay anytime you wish, takes away the struggle and the scary part of dying and having to start all over again from zero. But besides all that great game .

I never played the original but I do love the Resident Evil series. When I heard about this remake I was stoked. For me personally, this game is flawless. There aren’t any negative things I can say. Coming off of RE 7, which I also loved, I had high hopes for this game and it surpassed my expectations. I’ve beaten twice and will do so again for a 3rd and 4th time. Like my title says, this will probably be my personal game of the year. It’s so good and everyone should experience this masterpiece.

Great great great remake of an absolute classic. RE2 is my favorite Resident Evil from the 90's and this RE has been my favorite remake so far. The graphics, sound, and replay value is off the charts. The extra game modes after completion offer a great challenge too. Was a fun platinum trophy to earn.

I haven’t gotten very far into the story. I’m very easily startled and zombie games are a lot, so I only play a little at a time. That being said, this game is beautifully redone for current gen, and it is positively awesome to get to play it all again. The controls are smooth and easy to understand, and nothing is unnecessarily complicated. If you’re a fan of the Resident Evil franchise and haven’t played this one yet, it’s a good pickup.

Resident Evil 2 is considerd by a sizeable portion of the series fan base to be the best game. The re-make does not disappoint. Better graphics, dynamics, plots and storyline. It's almost a new game but not new enough to wander from what made the original a classic. The most difficult setting of the game call back to this classic with saves only being available with ink ribbons! Also be sure to this re-make with both Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield!

This is one of the best Resident Evil games to come out so far. I’ve been a huge fan of the RE games and while this is an unpopular opinion I really liked RE5 and RE6. Resident Evil 2 remake certainly gets you pumped up. It is a classic throwback to older Re games and has a that same amount of soul as Re1 remake. I’m really glad they enhanced everything, even the over the shoulder gameplay. The graphics, gameplay and everything else plays really great. What I really loved is how each play through you’ll have to carefully manage your inventory. The puzzles are some of the best and while you can get stacked on a few, you’ll feel highly rewarded when you finally achieve that puzzle or solve it. You can run out of useful items quickly. The more I played, the more I was able to find strategies on how to conserve ammo for a big boss fight. The zombies are some of the best and scariest ones I’ve seen in games. They”re noises are well done and highly spooky. The boss fights are all great especially the fight against “G Brolin” and Mr. X. Re2 remake gives you a sense of dread and fear when being stalked by him. It does really spice things up when running away from him. Ultimately it is a great game and I highly recommend it. Now it’s time to see what Resident Evil 8 has in store and I can’t wait.

One of the best games I’ve played and will probably play it again.

I had this game when it first came out on PS-1 back in the day and loved it! This is a nice remake with much better acting than the original one and the graphics are decent. It's nice to see they kept much of the game the same while updating and adding in some fun new parts. And with essentially 4 play through options, it will last a while and have replay value. Definitely recommend if you are an old-school Resident Evil fan.

This is a worthy remake of my favorite game of all time, Resident Evil 2. While I do miss the creepy camera angles and tank controls of the original, this updated version has significantly better graphics, a third-person over-the-shoulder control scheme reminiscent of every RE game since Resident Evil 4, and is packed with enough nostalgic moments and characters to bring the player back to 1998. Well done, Capcom!

As a fan of the original 1998 PlayStation game, I was expecting a sort of remaster when it was announced a year ago. Much to my surprise, this entry is not only and upgrade in terms of visuals and graphics, but also of story and gameplay. Even though the same characters return, the story and enemy variation have been tweeked for a fresh experience that will appeal to both fans and newcomers alike. I highly recommend this game.

It was a good game, unfortunately i could keep it for longer time

This is a fun game. Let’s get that out of the way. The zombies are great, the sound effects are creepy. It is definitely not a clone of the original. Plenty of replay value. That being said, the acting and the writing are abysmal. For example, after Leon is attacked by zombies - in one of many instances - he stumbles across his friend Claire again and he acts like they just had a first date. Dude, you were almost eaten alive and you’re a blushing over at cute brunette. Priorities, man! RE2 would have felt more immersive if we believed the characters in it were scared to death. Don’t try and look for believable characters here, but let’s be honest, that’s not why we play these games. I’m really enjoying it overall.

I played the original RE2 and it made me fall in love with survival horror. I was skeptical of remake because I had a lot of love the original but this remake was so well done. In my opinion it’s a masterpiece. It’s a must play if you like the RE franchise or have never played RE before.

RE2 REmake is what all remake/remasters of older titles should aspire to be. It improves not just the visuals and the controls but makes the story feel more alive and exciting. I'm not a huge horror fan but this game is just the right about of tense and scares, without being overbearing. I definitely recommend it if you enjoy the Resident Evil series, or if you even have only played 4 - this is right up there near it.

Quite possibly the best RE game to be ever produced. Great story, great speed run game. Since it's on console, you're limited to 60FPS max. Things like knife damage, and menuing, and general movement seem sluggish when compared to uncapped FPS on PC. But still, if you're casually playing RE2R on console, then this should be the right RE title for you.

This is one of the best remakes I have ever played. Resident Evil at it's very best which is survival horror instead of action. The controls, the graphics and the monsters of course are so much better than the original game. The zombies are much harder to kill and that actually makes the game a bit harder. The difficulty of the game is definitely up from the original. Fantastic remake.

The best resident evil in the original series of games has been rebuilt from the ground up to once again top them all! Truly the best Resident evil to date! Thrilling, Horrifying, stunning visuals, great gameplay mechanics that are up to date with modern gaming, with a breath of fresh air given to an already vivid story. If you are looking for a Horror game that truly beats all else, This is a must buy!

Resident Evil 2 is one of the best remakes of an old game that I've ever played. As someone who has played more recent Resident Evil titles, such as RE4 and RE7, but never got the chance to play the ones prior to that, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find that RE2 was right up my alley. For fans that enjoy the more puzzle-focused or exploratory gameplay style RE games: this is for you. It's the equivalent to a 3D Metroidvania style game at times whilst still following a linear story along the way. There's plenty of secrets to uncover and puzzles to solve (though never too difficult) as you explore your way through the game's various environments, including a creepy museum that currently serves as Raccoon City's police station. You'll fight zombies along the way and gain upgrades that make your journey more satisfying, you'll run for your life in fear from some surprising enemies, and you'll try to uncover the truth about what's going on in this emerging zombie outbreak. This freshly remade game features plenty of replay-ability and overall playtime, gorgeous, smooth, and vastly upgraded visuals (it is one of the best looking games you can play today on console), and is just plain fun to play. You won't be disappointed. I highly recommend trying out RE2 remake, whether you've played it before or it's your first time. It remains a classic and is one of the best games of 2019.

Resident Evil 2 brings in a revised outlook to the survival horror genre. Being the pioneers of the genre, it's no surprise that the game does it so well. You are met with extremely difficult situations as you progress in the game. There is a lot of backtracking in the game however, it's done right. Graphics, game play, and story is revamped to the max. You will enjoy this game. Not for the faint of heart.
