Resident Evil 4 for the PS5 Remake lived up to the hype I had for it, I was blown away by all of the story improvements done over the original with Ashley Graham and Luis Sera for instance. They had better character development than the original while having more compelling personalities. The RE Engine gameplay fit RE4 pretty well and expanded on the OG's gameplay amazingly by increasing the aggression of the enemies to match Leon's improved moves. Areas that were originally linear pathways were given a more explorable approach, feeling more akin to the gameplay of classic REs. The weapon selection was improved, and the Merchant now gave Leon more side tasks to do beyond the original 15 medallions mission in OG RE4. The first Krauser fight was reworked into a boss fight versus a QTE memory game. The main flaw of the game was Ada Wong's character direction in the Remake, the actress didn't seem to give it her all like with the other cast members. Either that or the director had odd ideas about Ada's portrayal. They cut a couple of areas in the game including a boss fight to save for later, which is annoying. Lastly, the bonus modes such as Mercenaries and Separate Ways weren't available at launch. While Separate Ways wasn't in the first launch of OG RE4 too, Mercenaries plus Assignment Ad, was, however. Mercs is in the game now via update, but it still doesn't have 2 characters that were in the original. There's also the fact Micro Transactions are included in the game, which hurts the score a bit. Overall, despite the flaws; it's still an excellent Remake that in my opinion matches the original in excellence. Just now it's more serious in many ways and overall has now an Action-Survival Horror vibe instead of being Action Horror. Fans of the silly action in the original RE4 will not like the more serious way, but the fans of RE being more horror-focus will more likely love this. I see it as a new, alternative way to play Resident Evil 4. and it perhaps will be my favorite way to play RE4 for years to come.

I’ve watched the resident evil series for a long time and seeing resident evil 4 for $20 was a steal and this remake was worth every penny. The graphics, frame rate and gameplay has been perfect. The more dark atmosphere enhances the game making it different from the original game. Some aspects of the original game were taken away, however I don’t mind as it gives a reason to go back to that game for its own features.

The first Resident Evil game I truly played is now remade for next generation consoles! Everything seems familiar, but there are differences. You can now move and shoot, the knife can be used for parrying attacks! The graphics are beautiful on 4K, and the eerie sound effects coming from the DualShock 5 mic keep me jumping. The main reason I got this was for the Steelbook, luckily I was able to pre-order and still get it! Unfortunately, I had to wait a week, it wasn’t available for pickup, only shipping, I had concerns last time I got a Steelbook shipped to me. Even curbside pickup was not available. I thought this would be similar to when I got Village. Steelbook arrived yesterday in good condition, thankfully! Currently on chapter 6-7, having lots of fun playing a classic game again! I highly recommend it for horror fans, RE fans, even people who like adventure games.

The Resident Evil Remake series has quickly climbed to the top of my favorite games ever list. 2, 3 and now 4 have taken fond teenaged memories and updated reality to match those impossibly nostalgic experiences. Remake 4 is the most bombastic yet! Ridiculous set pieces and absurd bosses with that RE Engine sheen. I dont think i can go back to the old games after this. Capcom is one of the only devs now releasing current Gen games at 60 bucks. That is a gamble for them when most devs have upped it to 70. Support this dev, they are doing a great job this Gen! I fully plan on buying all ReMakes and new entries into the Resident Evil franchise day one.

This game is one of the best I ever played still playing to this day and aim to play it more I recommend 100 percent for anyone who likes games in the category of skill, intelligence , and lots of fun!!!

A remake that had the near impossible feat of surpassing the original Resident evil 4 (considered to be arguably one of the best video games of all time) and it does so with flying colors (and blood). The game is spectacular from beginning to end. If you enjoyed the original RE4 you will have a blast. If you never played the original you will be in for a treat. Great modern controls, clever changes where they were needed or made an improvement upon (best way I can say it without spoiling anything). Just pick up the game and play it. You will not be disappointed.

This game is what I’ve always wanted out of a HD remake. The graphics are stunning and everything seems fresh from the boss battles to the game play. I would highly recommend it to any RE4 fan. No reason i bought it 7 times, it still amazes me. If you are looking for a game to get this one is a winner. Takes me back to when i was 13 years old playing it on the gamecube, also I still have my PS2 RE4 controller. It’s probably my favorite game of all time. 11/10 if i could rate it that highly.

An excellent remaster of the classic game with outstanding graphics for a classic blast from the past title! Definitely won’t want to miss getting this game especially at the price! Thank you again, Best Buy for fast delivery and great customer service.

A solid remake. Plays great, a modern improvement over the original. Looks beautiful, they use the RE Engine to render beautiful environments. My only complaint is that my PS5 overheated while playing it, but thats more a problem with my PS5 than the game itself. You should definetly give this game a try if you enjoy shooters.

In my youth Resident Evil 2 set the standard for survival horror zombie games. Now with this remake, it has revolutionized the genre once again. I highly recommend this game for a thrilling experience that pushes your current gen software to its limit in terms of visuals as well as gameplay. So “what are you waiting for?….Stranger”.

A masterpiece out masterpieced. 10 out of 10 game. Graphics are insane and the story has been improved upon to. This is my favorite RE game of all time. Even better than RE2 Remake.

This game is phenomenal. I was in awe when i first played the demo of Resident Evil 4 remake. Once the full game released i was so engaged into it. It gives the player horror movie creepy vibes. Its brutal and fun. Much better than the original version. This is a modern day classic for the new generation

After playing the original so many times I have to say this has been like a new fresh experience with a ton of familiarities & call backs to the original game. It feels modernized and improved yet nostalgic. It’s a whole lot more difficult and different so I would advise most to play the standard difficulty when playing the remake for the first time! If you love the original but want a different experience with nostalgia then you will love this game! ❤️

This Game will always be the best in the series as many times it’s made Even though I haven’t played all the games in the series RE4 still has a great story line and the graphics really do pass to the next gen for gaming

Excellent remake of Resident Evil 4! Ashley, Luis, and other characters are more developed. Also, the overall story is more fleshed out than in the original. The gameplay is very enjoyable as well.

This is one of the best resident evil that has come out in recent years, the overhaul of the gameplay and graphics really stand out.

I’ve never played a Resident Evil game before, so this was a fun experience. I’m glad I finally have the series a chance because this game made me see why there are so many fans. Can’t wait to try out the rest of the series.

I'm a huge fan of the original Resident Evil 4 and was worried about this remake not living up to the expectations of the previous game. But after finishing the game, I was astonished at how well they followed the source material and added new mechanics in the game that strengthen the story. Combat is the same as the rest of the REmakes, new puzzles that challenge the player, and enemies encounters are much tough as you progress each difficulty of the game (if you're looking for a challenge).
