Since I made the jump from XBox 360 to PS4 without looking back, I'd been waiting for a port of RE5 and was very glad when it was released. For those who played the original version, this comes with everything plus the DLC content (Lost in Nightmares/Desperate Escape, extra Mercenaries characters, those dumb PvP modes). Note that the Mercs maps are the REUNION versions, not the original Mercs, but this isn't really a big deal. The No Mercy mode is solo player only, which is a disappointment, but other than that I can't complain. For this price, especially, I'm glad to have one of my favorite games on my current console.

RE4 was fantastic. RE5 was still pretty awesome, but not as great as 4. Still worth pickin up to play through again all HD and whatnot. Still plays great and it still fun.

This is one of my favorite all time Resident Evil games! Played this hundreds of times on Xbox 360, now in HD on PS4! Love the co-op play on this game! Great story!!!

For only $15 this game is well worth your money, especially if you haven't played it before. The controls are a little outdated, but it looks great and is an awesome couch co-op game.

I owned this on PS3 and Xbox 360. It was best played on PS3. Now it comes complete with all DLC and up-rezed. This is a must buy and tons of fun. Highly recommended.

So, this game is fun. The shooter feel is good and the story line is good. The graphics are awesome! But, as you get in the further levels, it gets really hard. And frustrating!

Game is one of my favorites in the series. I would recommend playing this with updated graphics if you are a fan of the resident evil this is the game for you.

Resident Evil 5 pretty much tosses out the suspense/horror elements in favor of straight up run and gun action. Bright environments, a constant partner character, and a higher focus on the shooter elements steers the series away from the survival horro the series is known for. Great for fans of the lore who won't mind a change of pace. But if you're looking for the scares, you may want to look elsewhere. If you already owned it for the last gen systems, this isn't worth your time. But if you've never owned or played it, this version comes with the DLC included, and is fairly cheap at this point, so it's worth a look.

I beat this game on the PS3 with my brother many years ago, we platinum the trophy list and ground the game to its bone. When I saw this on sale for 20 bucks I couldn't resist as my lady was just starting to get into Resident evil games, overall the package remains the same with a nicely polished title. There aren't very many improvements to the graphics besides smoothing out and less aliasing. Controls are still nice, if you haven't played this before or want a more fine-tuned experience from the PS3 to PS4, then this is your game.

For many Resident Evil fans, 5 is where the series took a dive from being a cult favorite campy horror game (RE 1 thru 3) and one of the best games ever made (RE 4) to some kind of action/horror hybrid monster. And while RE5 certainly lets go of the feelings of helplessness and horror by focusing too much on action and corny dialogue, it's not without it's merits. It's still fun and looks great, and you can still appreciate what's left of the classic RE formula. We won't talk about the disaster that was RE6, but this one is definitely with the low price, especially with the included DLC.

I had played RE5 on my Xbox 360. And loved it, even though it veered away from its horror roots to become more of an action game. Its game play was so much fun. Fair warning though, it takes a bit getting used to since it is not a conventional 3rd person shooter. As a online co-op game, I think its just one of the best. I and a buddy of mine who lives in another state got this game to play it together. And we loved it. If you want a solid online co-op you should definitely get this. And if you want a fun 3rd person shooter with over the top, corny dialogues, then this is your game to get.

This game is great when it came out for PS3 - I believe in 2009, Friday the 13th of March.. Now, the relaunch of this game for PS4 is awesome!! The graphics are translated to 1080p HD.. I just wish that you can keep at least your primary weapon when you die when playing "Team Survivors" online.. If you die with just your primary weapon, when you respawn you'll have no guns at all.. You'll have to go back where you die to pick up your weapon or if the opponent picked up your weapon, you have no choice but to kill your opponent to get a gun..

I love this game, very similar to RE4. Interactive scenes with dodge prompts and lots of fun artillery. 2 player options are always a plus!

The only reason people don't like this game is because Resident Evil is in the title but it really is a good game, good graphics and fun to play

Resident Evil 5 is known as the game that started the supposed decline with its focus on more action than survival horror. While it wasn't the best RE game by any means it was a great action game. The remaster is plagued with issues however. While it does run in 1080p and higher framerate it seems the textures aren't significantly better and the framerate could never stay at 60fps. But those things aside the game is great and it's only at $20 and includes all previous DLC released. If you're even slightly interested this is a no-brainer.

Resident Evil 5 is an excellent game with great Co-op and graphics. I really like the controls and intense action sequences.

Resident Evil 5 for PS4 is the definitive experience for the game. It contains all the dlc and enchanced graphics with higher framerates.

This was my most played game of all time from the last generation of consoles my sister & I were instantly hooked especially for Vs. where we dominated especially with that S&W M500 Magnum. Now coming from 4(1st RE I played) they kinda killed the tense horror survival vibe with co-op and an abundance of ammo still a great game just this was just the beginning of RE combat action focused 6. Just be ready to fear REVII really looks promising back to the origins glory days

I originally played this game when it came out on PS3 and loved it! This version is even better since it includes all of the add ons that I did not play originally. Must have for RE fans.

It performs better than it did in the previous generation and it also looks better. Has all the DLC too
