    Still a great CO-OP game

I remember playing this on the PS3. The single player wasn't very exciting, but playing co-op with a friend was great fun (couch co-op split screen is little annoying with the 2 small boxes, but online is great). Although people bash it for not being true survival horror, the game still was very enjoyable and this remaster - which comes with the DLC and an updated Mercenaries mode with all characters unlocked - is a great deal for $20!

I originally played this back on PS3, but enjoyed it enough to get it on PS4 on sale. It's a fun shooter, and the fact you can't move while shooting increases the tension and makes every move more important. Great graphically as well. Though, the non co-op multiplayer is completely unnecessary, and not much fun at all. But the base game is a blast with a friend or alone.

Resident Evil 5 continued the formula that got Resident Evil 4 high praise but they added the partner aspect in for the majority of the game unlike Resident Evil 4 which lasted for shorter sequences. More action then in 4 and more strange things like motorcycles chasing you which really separates itself from RE 1-3 but expands on what was going on in RE4. The story was satisfying and bringing back Chris Redfield from RE1 was a welcome thing.

This RE game, when it came out, was somewhat disappointing. However, upon replaying this remaster, my opinion has changed drastically. While not the best in the series, this is where the series becomes a mindlessly fun action/horror game. The graphics look slightly better, but not a huge improvement - I would say this version is still definitely the one to get. Great for all fans of RE and horror games.

Between excellent co-op, a solid single player experience, and the outstanding mechanics of RE4, which are built upon in 5, you have the recipe for a great game. It's true that 5 is inferior to 4 in many respects, but it's still great in it's own right. As for this version, it runs in 1080p at 60 FPS, and it looks beautiful. It also includes all DLC, which means it's a great value at $20.

i played the original on the Xbox when it came out, loved it to death, had the similar feel of RE4, but with Chris as the main character. it holds up, and is just as much fun as the original installment from a few years ago, and it comes bundled with all the DLC that was released, in a 20 (or 15) dollar package. easily worth the money and im glad i can play this all over again.

This one is definitely my favorite Chris Redfield Resident Evil Game! He partners up with Jill as well and this is definitely a must have if you’re either a Jill or Chris fan in the Resident Evil Series. The storyline and the graphics are great in this game and tje weapons are nice as well

Probably the best version of RE5 out there. It has everything you could want and more. All the DLC plus new graphical effects and shaders that are not present in the original or PC releases. However, the framerate does suffer quite frequently, especially during the QTE cutscenes and any time there are lots of dynamic things on screen. Expect to hit 45-50 fps regularly.

This game takes me back to a time when horror games were fun to play and not just trying to startle you with abrupt loud music. There was a real story behind the game as well. When this game was on PS3 I was ranked number one in the world on multiplayer for a long time. I don't have that kind of time anymore but it's fun to play it again.

Resident Evil 5 HD Includes all post Launch DLC with improved visuals. RE5 is different from previous RE entries (I consider RE4 to still have a decent amount of the survival horror), as it REALLY strays away from the survival horror RE is known for, & changes into an Action-Packed game. While the main game is full of action, the Lost in Nightmares DLC will take old time RE fans to the past, as they enter a mansion similar to the Spencer Estate in RE1 & relive the survival horror they once knew, & it even allows them to change it back to the old-school camera for a while! The Desperate Escape DLC continues on the action the main game has shown us & the Versus mode DLC is a fun (though, unfitting for a RE game) gamemode as you fight other players or defeat Majini in an attempt to obtain the highest score solo or on teams. There are also new costumes & figurines to collect & unlock. Not to mention Mercenaries Reunion brings some new variations for both Redfield & Alomar. With some old & new faces joining the fray. Overall the COMPLETE RE5 experience a definite must own.
