First off, I am a video game fan and huge fan of this series from the beginning. But, this game goes back to more of the horror aspect. I got this for $31 with my GCU discount and its a great deal. You'll have to shell out another $25 down the road for DLC but its not necessary. I try not to buy games until they drop in price. I know that at Christmas you could get this for $25. But its a good deal for anything below $35.

This is by far one of the best resident evil games in the series. My only complaint is that I wish it had a co op. Other than that, this game has plenty of replay value.

The last few Resident Evil games have been much more about action than horror, but VII finally returns the series to its roots. You no longer feel like a superhero who punches boulders, but that's a good thing. Hopefully Capcom can keep it up for future installments.

Amazing game not gonna lie it’s not as scary as it used to be but that stil dosnt take the magic away 10/10

I honestly do not go through games quickly, usually taking my time so as not to rush through too quickly and get my money's worth. However, Resident Evil 7 was too compelling. A return to the horror roots of the series long past, the game couples constant legitimate scares with fine gameplay and a good story that had me reading forums to uncover its potential layers. ReS 7 is an awesome game kept me on the edge of my couch the whole time. I love the feel of puzzles makes me think rather than going rouge. Although many say its not the same as the original RES franchise i feel its the evolution of a better concept a more in your face feel a better way to horror. Prepare to jump ,prepare to here creepy sounds because this game will give you some nightmares.

Resident evil is scary again. It's fun to walk through the haunted house trying to solve puzzle while not knowing when something will jump out at you.

At first I had a raised eyebrow to a first person RE. We all remember deadly aim (though we try not to) But once I began playing i Was really impressed as to how well the game was made. Very clever way to focus detail. Suspenseful and exciting!

Resident Evil Biohazard (7) brings back the horror elements that were found in Resident Evil 4. The main story is a bit short but still enjoyable.

This game is truly amazing. I Have played 1,2,3,4,5,6 zero, Veronica, and Survivor. I am pretty close to being able to say that Biohazard is my favorite Resident Evil game. The way the Bakers work in game and interact with you is incredible. The story is awesome IMO and at first you wonder how it connects to Resident Evil, but later in the game it sure delivers and explains that connection and has a great unforeseen unraveling. The Graphics and new RE Engine in this game is just mind-blowing and looks really well. I would highly recommend this game to any person regardless of if they are a Resident Evil veteran or not. I so far have beaten it twice for both endings and plan on playing it again for more of the achievements and things I missed in the first two playthroughs. I haven't checked out the newly released DLC's but i have heard they are fantastic so I am going to be diving into those shortly. Honestly, This game probably deserves a 10/10 IMO, and I hope they continue the rest of the games on a similar path as this, It made me more excited then 5 or 6 did. Not hating on those, they just didn't have a fear factor as this one did and "Resident Evil" in my opinion should always have a fear factor and you should always feel under powered or very cautious in these games. OVERALL GREAT GAME! I recommend!

Great RE game although it is different in that it is more of a survival horror. Still a lot of fun and while I didn't get to play in VR, I'll bet it is a really good game to experience VR with. I've heard good things about it.

This game is awsome. At first it was little weird and scary. I got my money back on steam. I rebote a month later and dang I loved it. As so I bought for xbox one as well. 4k on pc 3840/2160. Xbox 1080 with dips. Love them worth every penny. On both or ps4. Tri it very scary all the way through. Even better with a 55in 4k 3d tv from samsung fxza8550

This game is scary. The HDR is okay; not better than Battlefield 1 but it is a good game. You will get scared if played in absolute darkness. The graphics are really good and almost in par with Battlefield 1 graphics.

Purchased two of these games for my teenager sons (18/19) they love the game and play it for hours. It was a hit in my house.

Great brand, new style - Resident Evil switches to First-person and is fresh and fun. It's actually survival horror again.

I am a huge fan of the horror genre and we all know that it's vastly underrepresented in the video game industry, pertaining to the next gen Xbox One all we've really had access to is the Evil Within and Alien Isolation. Resident Evil 7 blows those other horror experiences out of the water. Resident Evil 7 changes it up by adopting a first person perspective, and instead of playing as a trained cop or federal agent with lots of guns at your disposal, you play as an average joe with little skill and no weapons training; this really adds a layer of unexpectedness to each enemy encounter. The game does an incredible job of mounting tension and dread, you never know what will happen when you turn the corner or enter a dark room. The mechanics take some getting used to, you feel a bit clumsy while sprinting or aiming, this adds to the feeling of general helplessness as you venture through the game. I've played about 3 hours so far and I have no complaints about this game whatsoever. Playing with friends who don't know what's coming next is a blast, the looks on their faces is always priceless. If you like the horror genre you owe it yourself to give this a go!

this game is what resident evil needed. the game is a first person resident evil game but dont let it confuse you. this game is horror at its core the game has some really good puzzles nothing to hard but just enough to make you feel like you are moving towards something good. the story is engaging and i never felt like it was boring .

Great game. For the series they did a completely different approach. Its a first person survival horror which is different from the other resident evil games. It has an original feel to the series as far as bringing back classic puzzles. It really does a great job at making the player feel scared and helpless. Just when you think you have enough ammo to start guns a blazing, the game rips your confidence away. It's a great game. Everyone who is a fan can admire the game as something new and original.

Changing to a first person perspective was a big move for this franchise, but it retains the feel of what made the first few games fun. Ammo is relatively scarce making each encounter meaningful. Limited inventory, familiar weapons, and a creepy setting all bring back the original RE feeling. If I have a complaint it's that it isn't all that scary. A few jump scares and overall creepy, but I didn't feel a real impending sense of dread like I did with Dead Space. Definitely a worth while pick up.
