Resident Evil Village continues the survival horror genre with stunning graphics, puzzles, and survival action. There is a bit more action compared to Resident Evil 7 but you will still have the same survival feel and resource management. Definitely a great game if you are a fan of the series.

I waited for a while to get this game. I wasn't too sold on the demo and 65 quid is a lot to pay if not sure. Once the price got a bit lower I went for it and have been very pleased with the game. The early game has something of the feel of Resi 4 about it, with some of the gory body horror of Resi 7. Later on it gets more action oriented as these games tend to but it's still very good. You play as Ethan Winters again. This time you see your wife killed and your child stolen in front of you, only to find yourself lost in a weird remote rural European village... from there the fun starts as you begin to encounter the beats that have taken over and the evil lords behind them. It's all a lot of fun. Easy recommend if you enjoy Resi and continues the high quality of the last instalment. Resi has definitely found its soul again.

Good, haves more action than expected, but still lives up to the old horror style and with it’s amazing graphics succeeding like Resident evil 7. Not a run and gun like five but cool game

I have to say the storyline of RE8 Village is amazing. It’s definitely a lot faster than RE7. The story keeps you engaged throughout the entire game and busy. I have to say this game is definitely a 5 out of 5! I really loved and enjoyed playing Village. Although I do have to say that the first boss you encounter will be the best boss in this game. The best way I can describe this game is it brings back that RE4 feel. Having to walk around the map I’m the village searching for clues and discovering the story of Ethan and his family. If you loved RE4 you’ll definitely love RE8 Village, it’s a great game! And if you haven’t played RE4 I’d definitely still recommend you buy Village and experience unfolding the new twist and route Resident Evil is taking.

Great follow-up to Resident Evil 7, a little more of an action game than the first few Resident Evil games, but still plenty of scares to go around, great enemy variety, and a cool setting. Ran great on the Series X

If you're able to get an Xbox series X this would be the game for it! Great graphics and story. Each character is unique from other resident evil games and must be defeated as such.

This game is a continuation of the seventh game in the series. So play that first. Nice survival horror elements. Playstation 4/5 option does not have PSVR compatibility like game 7 — so the Xbox version is the one to get, as it looks great on XboxOne X and still has added graphical benefits when upgrading to the Series X

Atmosphere is fantastic! The game looks and plays great and while not that scary it does have a super spooky vibe to it. Very enjoyable game that runs beautifully on my series x.

I am a DIE HARD RE fan and this is a MUST HAVE! I’m so excited and happy that they went back to their roots of a true survival horror game. This game made me jump! I recommend either playing this at night or during the day with the curtains drawn, but the volume has to be up! The puzzles were awesome. The bosses are stunning. Veteran mode is most certainly a challenge, but if you’re a die hard like me, it’s something that with patience and a special set of skills, can be beat. This one took me back to the RE4 days. Though, in my opinion, RE4 is the best one, this is probably is now the runner up. Buy it already!

Amazing game, takes elements from RE4 such as the merchant and collecting treasures, and also elements from 7 with the story. Overall it's fun, action packed and scary

Scary, intense and horrifying, RE village is the latest thrill ride in the RE universe. Amazing graphics and story puts this one amongst the best and most feared.

Resident Evil Village isn't a traditional Resident Evil game as it focuses more on action than actual horror which can be a mixed bag for some. Personally, I really enjoyed the action and it's a very good mix between being fun and challenging on the standard difficulty. The game still has its moments despite the more toned-down approach that Capcom took with the scariness of this title. Graphics are extremely realistic highlighting the most bloody and gory parts of the experience. Audio does not disappoint as well. You can hear every roar, laugh, crunch, etc. in great detail. My main gripe with it is the poorly written dialogue that kills the vibe in some instances. One example of this is when Emily falls into a fire and dies Ethan says "why does everyone keep dying on me" when Ethan did nothing to at least try and save Emily from falling off the plank and dying. There are other parts at the end that I won't spoil that are laughable because of the dialogue itself. Despite this, the gameplay is very interesting and I definitely recommend giving it a go if you are on the fence about it.

Buy it! It picks up right after the last RE. Nice graphics and gunplay story is well paced not to short or long. It encourages multiple playthroughs

I have played all the Resident Evil games and this is one of my favorites even without the zombies. The graphics and game play are awesome.

Excellent story, varied levels and monsters, terrific scares. Best game of the year so far in my opinion. Graphics are awesome. Highly recommend!

RE. Great as always. Starts a little slow but gets very good about 20 minutes in.

All I can say is wow. If you consider yourself a Resident Evil fan, this is a must play. Great story gameplay and graphics

This new RE game is reallly a game changer. The graphics are perfect and the story is out of this world!
