Overall, a very fun survival horror experience that is more akin to RE2 or 4 than 7. This title focuses more on the survival horror aspect with a good variety of guns and ammo rather than the in depth scares that 7 was known for. There are still scary moments in village but not to the extent of the previous game. The story is a good continuation with fun characters and an enjoyable setting. I recommend this if you enjoyed any of the previous entries!

Played on a Series X and completed in around 10 hours, but can’t wait to replay. Absolutely loved the experience—highly polished world with very different larger than life characters and village areas. I thought it was pretty scary and jumped plenty of times. As good as or better than RE4. Graphics are jaw dropping. Also loved how different the 4 different houses were—some are horror, some are action. You won’t be disappointed.

Resident Evil Village has come back to the survival horror game of Resident Evil franchise. With quirky and fun villains, and an arsenal of great weapons to use, Resident Evil Village will make you comeback and unlock unlimited ammo weapons to make your next playthroughs more reasonable. Love that this game reminds me of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 2 Remake, making it one of the favorites in the series.

Resident evil returns to its roots, in survival horror. While I’m not a fan of the FPS perspective; this game was awesome. Reminds me of RE4 with the village and castle settings, but the graphics and gameplay are amazing! Definitely not for the feint of heart as the creepy atmosphere will provide tension abd legit jump scares. Overall, enjoying it so far and can’t wait to make my way to the castle. Day one purchase, no regrets!

An absolute masterpiece worthy of being a sequel to an equally Excellent Resident Evil 7. The atmosphere, and pacing are really what draw you in. The I just have to see what happens next aspect. If I had to knock anything it's just not as scary as resident evil 7. (There are some scares, but they where clearly turning it down a bit.) I'd also recommend a good pair of headphones for a more immersive experience.

One of the best games I’ve played in awhile. I bought this game then played through RE7 to get caught up in the story before playing RE8. I was definitely not disappointed. The story, characters, weapons, and enemies all made the game a masterpiece. I highly highly recommend this game to anyone that’s even slightly interested in purchasing it. You won’t be disappointed! Buy it!

I'm pretty biased because I've been a Resident Evil fan since the beginning. It's been a solid game series all these years. Best of all, it hasn't been ruined by microtransactions or converted into a "games as a service" scam. This is a proper single player video game like they used to make. The visuals are incredible, and the performance on the Series X is truly next gen.

Best resident evil game I've played to date and I've played them all. I had a blast from the beginning to the end. Capcom definitely put a lot more effort into this game. From the storyline to the characters, everything felt right. I ended up getting my game a day early and I was the happiest person on earth. From now on all my Pre-Orders are going to be through Best Buy.
