This is easily the most linear and action-oriented Resident Evil game to date, and I don’t mean that as a compliment. Playing on normal difficulty, I had over a HUNDRED bullets at one point for the handgun despite being fairly liberal with its use. That is because this is straight up a FPS action game with a horror theme. They just threw all the survival-horror elements out the door with this one. The extent of the puzzle-solving is seeing an item through a crack in a wall and having to break a box to crawl through a vent to get to it, and the “secret” path is ON THE MAP. I really don’t get the hype for Dimitrescu either. She is only in a small portion of the game. After finishing, it seems like they originally intended to make a different kind of game and then had to wrap things up quickly to meet a deadline. There is nothing next-gen about the graphics, the story is laughable (like seriously you will laugh at how ridiculous things get at multiple points), and there is more or less one path you have to take at all times due to key items guiding progress.

This is taking it back to the original survival horror of resident evil! I am absolutely hooked. A must buy

You know why you want to play this game, let’s be real. But honestly, the game is a really really good addition to the series and I think it has the potential to be remembered for a long time.

Allot of big twists and this should have been called Resident Evil 8: Orgins Because this shows the orgins of all the viruses and where they come from and I'm looking forward to the story dlcs.

Great story, good gameplay. Looks great to a must own if you like the franchise.

Great game, I really enjoy the Resident Evil series and this one lived up to the hype. About 10 hours play through to beat the game. Still more to do for achievement hunters.

The graphics of this game is absolutely stunning. Game play is fantastic. Already beat it 3x and playing yet again as there is always seems to be something I missed previously.

Great game excellent graphics pretty long gameplay not scary at all but still a great game recommend if you had the newer systems to play on the 60 frames per second I enjoyed it

I’ve never played a game quite like this and I enjoy it thoroughly. The graphics are incredible as is the story line and the amount of persevering it makes you do. Incredible game play.

Havent finished the game, but i can tell already it was money well spent. Game has nice graphics on series x and very scary when you realy get into it. I strongly recommend this game!!!

Fantastic story and gameplay. A good mix of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 7. The game length was around 10 hours but every minute was amazing. Looking forward to the 9th entry now.

If you are a fan of resident evil games this has to be on your collection. Gameplay is superb. And it will make you jump from time to time. Definitely recommend.

It was a good time, and an interesting mix of ways to play and experience horror. A nice addition to the franchise, and a super interesting world.

I enjoyed it very much. However, I felt it could’ve been more challenging on normal setting so I recommend playing it on hard setting to get more enjoyment out of the game.

Game: Resident evil has always been one of my favorite franchises and this one reminds me of the fourth installment the most, nostalgic and new at the same time!

Best game ever. I am not into games but I grew up playing Resident Evil (since gamecube release RE 0). This game is amazing. The folks at Capcom did an excellent job.

While not a traditional Resident Evil game it is still amazing on its own. The location, bosses and story are great and I have been enjoying my playthrough so far.
