I like the RE films. This was fun as a mixture of the first and second game.

I am not a game fan or player but I do own all the original Milla Jovovich Resident Evil movies and I was rather looking forward to this prequel. I found the the first half of Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City quite entertaining as it introduces the characters and added a few creepy moments. However, its second half was a lot less than stellar and while the imaging and sound were still good, not much else was.

I liked it. I grew up playing the games and I think this movie did a great job combining the first two games and rebooting the franchise. Nothing over the top like the other RE movies. It just focused on bringing the game to the big screen. This is a must own 4K movie as for picture and sound if you have home theater surround sound systems

I think they did a pretty good job when comparing to the games. I think they did a terrible job on Leon and went way left field on picking someone that actually looks like him. They did a really good job on mixing up the RE1 and RE2 together. I give this movie a 4/5. The ending credit scene was really good so make sure you stay arounf for that.

this movie alone is already way better than the rest of the other resident evil movies! the blood and gore is a plus, something that the other movies should had in the first place! i mean theyre zombie movies. the beginning of this movie made me like it right away! this is pretty much the first two game smashed into one movie..... and that is where the problem begins, and well its the only problem that i see to be honest. this movie is too short... way way too short so there is a lot of content forced into it and dismissed right away! unless youve played the games you won't know what really is going on or what any of their interactions mean! i hope that the second movie picks up the slack and is made longer. this movie was golden and definitely needs to be taken care of

It was just okay, but could have been better movie.

The only reason I give this 4 stars is for the picture quality and audio besides that a rating of 3. They could have gotten a better cast than this because it took away from a movie that had potential. Hollywood needs to leave the video game world alone of their not gonna be genuine to the art.

This wasn't the Resident Evil movie fans have been hoping for but I honestly didn't think it was all bad. Yes there were some cheesy CGI moments and the overall story was so-so but it took the story in a different direction. It also gave us some very familiar scenes from the original game come to life. Don't be quick to dismiss this movie.

Despite all the negativity surrounding this flick, I actually really liked it. It feels and looks more like a Resident Evil movie then all the previous movies combined. And, that's coming from a HUGE fan of the Resident Evil games. It may not be perfect, but it certainly gets the job done... hoping for a sequel.

Case is a great addition to my movie collection. I haven’t looked at the art cards yet but I’m sure they will be cool. As for the movie itself, I loved it. If you are a fan of the original game and the remakes you will love the movie. For once they followed the games pretty close. Obviously taking 2 full length games and cramming them into one movie your going to miss some key moments you’d only get if you played the game but like I said before the basics are there. The only thing that bugged me was the actress who played Jill. To me something just seemed off, almost like she was trying to hard... idk. Would 100% recommend this film for any re fan.

It was a love letter to the games, but it isnt niche enough to pull others from enjoying who haven't dived into the games. The movie has plenty of scares that were missing from the earlier entries. Dialogue and story are a little straight forward with some veering storylines that probably should have been summarized.

Not the greatest movie, but i had to check it out. It is certainly darker than the other version. It resembles the game more with its atmosphere, dialogue and acting. The disc worked well and thebdigital copy was easily redeemed. Overall, the product worked with 5 stars, but the movie was 'meehhh... with 3 stars...

Awesome movie. Really good sound too. If you were a fan of the game, you’ll recognize certain scenes from the game in the movie. Even the camera angles match those from the game at times which I enjoyed. I don’t think this got great reviews by critics but I liked it a lot.

This movie is pretty good as far as movies based on video games go. This is a fairly faithful adaptation of some of the games in this series; as well as a cohesive story. Although I would only recommend it to Resident Evil fans. For everyone else, it would be a serviceable zombie horror/action film at best.

Maybe not everything I wanted it to be this was absolutely a fun way to spend some time with Chris and Jill. The previous series had a few hits and a lot of misses so I am excited to see where this one goes. The steel is lovely and I hope you don’t miss out on your chance to own it.

Surprisingly good, if you are a true fan of the Resident Evil franchise. There are some scenes that look like they came straight out of the games. Basically, the movie jumps around with a fairly new plot line as well as placing iconic points of the video games in for fair measure.

To start off, if youre not a fan of the video game series or have watched the garbage other ones then chances are youre gonna have something bad to say about this movie. This is a great movie and pays so much homage to the classic game series of 1 & 2. They have suttle easter eggs in there for fans and its great to see them. The movie is great though the cgi and obviously some acting could be worked on but its a fun movie for fans. A must watch imo. The Dolby Atmos also sounds awesome on my theater system, love the work that was put into it.

SPOILER FREE I have to say that this is probably the best Video game movie that has been made. It is just so enjoyable to watch from the perspective as someone who has enjoyed the games. Beyond the great adaptation, this is a convincing horror movie. At times you feel like you are watching a John Carpenter movie from the seventies. There could not be a better compliment for a movie. I love video games and the Horror genre, and this movie is so well made. The cast is incredible, and all characters are so much fun to watch.

The steel book, the extras included, and the picture quality of the film itself are all great. However, the movie falls short on delivering a faithful adaptation of the stories it’s trying to tell. It tries to blend together the stories from the first 2 games and rewrite events in a way that leaves true fans of the series a bit frustrated. To their credit, they do manage to recreate some iconic game moments beautifully on the big screen. It’s not a bad film, but but it’s far from the Resident Evil film most fans want. I’d still recommend picking up a copy due to the amazing steel book and the other extras included, but not because of the film itself.

If you are a true fan of the game series then you will appreciate this movie then the original resident series in the early 2000’s. Movie set just like it was from the RE2 game. Some of the story doesn’t follow the game, but great still
