An awsome first-person shooter. The concept is similar to Area: 51 for PS2. A human/alien bi-product due to following orders on a mission. The plot takes you to many places in England to fight off the Chimera; an appearent invasion that can't be stopped. The weapons in this game are out of this world and so many to choose from that killing an enemy is exciting each and every time. You can play in different difficulties, get skill points to unlock extras, and play online muliplayer. At $29.99 it is a steal!!!

On a plot standpoint, Resistance brings a unique and interesting storyline that will keep you captivated for hours. As far a First Person Shooter goes it doesn't bring a whole lot new to the table. It felt like your average shooter only very well put together. Its nice to pick up a shooter and just have fun with it instead of wrestling with shoddy controls and second rate graphics. With a great multi-player to boot, its worth your time.If you haven't tried Resistance yet your missing out."

I bought this game because I was curious to see what the Resistance franchise was all about. I found out that it's pretty darn impressive, at least for this first title. This game is just a whole lot of fun to play. I played through the campaign mode with my younger brother, and we enjoyed it. There's replay value because new weapons are unlocked in the next play-through. I have not played the multiplayer part, but I've read other reviews saying that there are still a lot of people playing this game online even though it's been out for about four years. The controls may seem a little iffy if you're used to CoD, but you can customize each button instead of having to stick with pre-set button layouts only, which is great. The game does have several pre-set button layouts, but if none of them seem to work for you, just create your own. The campaign is pretty long. The developers were very creative with how you progress through the main story, the enemies, and the weapons and grenades - they're a lot of fun to play with. Overall, this is a great game. It's a lot of fun when you play it with a friend.

This is a great game. The Campaign mode is fun. The graphics are great. The weapons are well made. And the controls are easy to manage. Online play is fun and addicting. There is Solo, Team, and Team with Objectives. You earn skill points and ranks with your wins and kills. An option that is fun is customizing you character with different suits, helmets. The skill points, ranks, and beating the game gives you more options for customizing. Overall a great game, a must for PS3 owners

This is a great title for the Playstation 3 and is a must have in my opinion. Everything from the graphics to the storyline are very well done and executed in a manner consistent with other AAA FPS games. While this game is a little tougher than other FPS games I have played, I consider that a plus as there are too many on the market now that can be finished a little too quickly. Buy this game if you own a Playstation 3, you won't regret it!

Resistance: Fall of Man is an A grade game. The multiplayer storymode just makes the game one of the best. The weapons are unfortunately fake, but are cool. Sony could of have made better graphics, but since it was one of the PS3 games, you have to make an exception. The storyline, the creepiness of the monters, and the setting make it a suspenseful, intersting, and very fun game. A great buy! A must get!

This is easily among the best games on ps3. The single player campaign is long-lasting with great replay value and has an engrossing story. The online multiplayer is extremely addictive and fun with several different game modes to keep you interested. You'll want to play through the single player modes again to unlock multiplayer extras!! Must have for ps3 owners.

This was one of the first games I bought when I got my PS3 and I still love it! This sci-fi shooter follows a US Army seargent in an alternate history 1950's England. As the story goes, in the 1940's a virus started in Russia and quickly spread throughout Europe changing people into monsters called "Chimerans'. England, the last nation in Europe not affected, is under attack from the Chimerans and the US sends forces to help England fight back against the Chimerans. Many mysteries are explored, some leave the door open for sequels. The graphics are amazing and at least equal to anything on the XBOX 360. The amount of detail gives the player the impression of actually being on the battlefield. The game also has some scary moments as Chimerans will jump out at you when you least expect them to. Rather than just have straight shooting weapons as in other first-person shooters, Resistance has weapons that can shoot around corners, target enemies standing behind walls, launch turrets and shoot steel needles across the screen and even has grenades that reflect enemy fire back on them. The only problem is it ends too quickly and leaves you wanting Resistance 2 to be released now! If you buy a PS3, then you need to get this game! It is an essential for any gamers playlist.

I will put this plain and simple.........This is the best shooter that is out. This game BLOWS AWAY FEAR, The Darkness and every other game that I have played on the PS3. I'm a pretty big Halo fan and I would say that this game is better than Halo 1 & 2. If you like first person shooters than you CANT go wrong with RESISTANCE.

For fans of the old Duke Nukem shooters, you might enjoy the similarities in Resistance: Fall of Man. Although the main character doesn't share Duke's verbal finesse and remains rather stoic, he still gets to put the hurt on some very ugly invaders. The graphics and attention to detail are amazingly realistic, and the weapons are totally unique to any other shooter. You'll enjoy the numerous ways in which to dispatch your foes. Although the storyline was too short for my tastes, it still drew me in to the very end... which left me wanting more. The good news is a sequel will be released later this year. The multiplayer also needs a little work. For one, it's not voice enabled, so communicating with your teammates for a coordinated attack is impossible. Secondly, it seems the humans and Chimera are not completely on equal ground, the humans having a considerable advantage. Humans are able to crouch, and the Chimera burst into flames and die after coming into contact with any open flame such as a burning vehicle in the street. Therefore, even an unevenly matched game with the humans seriously outnumbered can still fare well for the humans. I would still recommend this game simply for the single-player mode. It's well worth it.

Resistance Fall of Man is a ggame that puts all shooting, action games to the next level. It has an awesome gameplay,also weapons,multiplayer and enemies. great game,Has a few cons that really aren't a big deal,Overall 5/5.

Resistance is well put to gether game graphics, sound, and action. The environment Reacts well with the combat. The amount of items you recive is enough for excitment and keeping your finger off the triger so much. The makers put a lot of thought into it. The game is competive for hours of fun and i would recomend this game.

This was the first game I purchased along with my PS3. I wasn't sure what to expect and was VERY satisfied. The gameplay is excellent and exciting. The weapons are simply amazing and fun to use. The online play is just as amazing. Bottomline, a great game to add to your collection.

overall you will have a good time with this game, it's a lot of fun, with great graphics and an interesting story, if your looking for a FPS fix, then it's a good play. the multiplayer is pretty well done, but if you're looking for the best online experience you are better off buying CoD4

This is a great game that sony has put together for the first line of its products. Amazing graphics, Deep stpry mode, Intense online play, and it has a very good replay value. The only problem i have with it, is that you cant play against the comptuer in the Vs. mode, only other people.

Resistance is undoubtedly one of the best launch titles for the ps3. It showcases a lot of the potential that the ps3 has in terms of graphics (which look really good), and gameplay. The gameplay is rather linear, meaning there are no frustrating puzzles to solve, or other nuisances that may slow down the gameplay. This is a good thing because it gets through the storyline rather quickly. Online multiplayer is also extremely fun, with up to 40 players. Split screen co-op mode is also great. Replay value is very high, since you can unlock new items and weapons after you beat the game. The only minor issue that I have with the game is that the story isn't really developed in terms of characters, but that really isn't an issue at all.

This game has a great story, gameplay, weapons, and graphics. Can be a little creepy at times, but hey that is what you play games like this for. To put it simply if you own a PS3, you need to have this game.

Resistance Fall of Man has a great single player campaign. You will be surprised at the array of weapons that you can choose from, and the different abilities each one has. Also, the plot and storyline flow very well for a video game. The general idea of the game is good right from the start. As the world is at war, and then is abruptly interrupted by the invasion of an unknown species. Thus forcing the humans to join forces to fight the Chimera. Multiplayer online is also a great part of this game, and you can join into some pretty big online matches with this game. This is one of the first year titles that came with the PS3, and it's a must buy if you are just getting the system now. The only con to this game is despite very popular opinion, I feel the graphics are not as good, as what other games have shown on the PS3.

R:FOM is the best title released on the PS3 and I believe it was more involved and smoother gameplay than XBOX's Halo series. Online play is ridiculous. It adds several map variations of the levels you play in story mode (which allows for CO-OP play). Up to 40 players can play in one map against each other. You have several "goals" to accomplish online to keep gameplay focused if you'd prefer not to go the mindless-killing route (i.e. medals for 100 kills with every weapon, stealth kills, etc.). Capture the Flag, Breach, and Meltdown (king of the hill) allows for fresh online play. And the best part: IT'S FREE. Can any online XBOX game say that? Nope.

I was doubting this game at first, and then I rented it and loved it. I plan on buying it soon because of how it keeps you wanting to play more and more. And the price has now dropped to $30. On top of that, you can go back and replay the missions and collect new guns, like 10 that you couldn't before. The only downfall with that is that you don't keep the weapons you had from the first time you played. The graphics are pretty good and the storyline is wicked. The mission are difficult but pretty short. This game keeps you guessing and keeps you playing for hours on end. Fun game. Highly recommend you purchase it.
