If I'm not mistaken, I think Resistance was the first game for the PS3. This game is fantastic. Just simply fantastic. I would resist getting Resistance 2 and play the first and then the second because they are both worth all of your attention. There is replay value and entertainment for days. Graphics are great and the storyline is very entertaining. Well worth it, folks.

The graphics are great. The story mode is fun and interesting. It has a really creative set of weapons. The online multiplayer is great as well.

As the first game that I purchased for the PS3 when the system was released, I was pleased with the quality of the game. The graphics are good for a first-generation PS3 game and the gameplay plays well. My roommates and I had a lot of fun on the four-player multiplayer and the co-op mode was great too. Now, months later, I don't play the game as much, but with the online play, I can imagine the replay value would be tremendous if FPS are your cup of tea. Even if you think you've found and done everything, remember to look for those lawn gnomes!

yes i wrote that in all caps, why....because the game is just that good. 360 has halo, PS3 has this and i've played both and i would choose resistance. the graphics are great, the story line is even better, its very well thought out and plays out just as well. the weapons are great, they aren't over the top. the chimera soldiers are tough and it creates a challenge, you really can't play each scenario the same or you'll just keep dying the same way you did before. strategy is key and can really help in situations.

If you bought this game when it first came out then you know how good it is. The gameplay is fantastic and so is the shooting. The weapons in this game are amazing when you use them. Though you will die a lot of times throughout the game which can get really annoying. This little problem isnt really a big deal and you will quickly get over it when you start getting into it. The game is still one of the best for the ps3 and it was one of the first to come out. This is one of the GREATEST games still to date.

This was my first game for the Playstation 3 and provided plenty of fun. However now that I have the sequel, I simply can't play this one. Insomniac did an incredible job with the sequel, upping the ante in every way. The only downside of that is now the first one just can't compete. That doesn't mean it's bad, it just has been greatly improved with the sequel. That said, plenty of people still play online and it can still provide plenty of hours of fun. So if you want a new game but can't afford a new $60 game, Resistance 1 would be a great choice.

Resistance is a solid FPS with a great story to boot. The graghics are done amazingly well, with smooth textures and no alaising. Enemy AI is tough enough for a good challenge but not so hard they are impossible to beat. Levels construct is smart, and well layed out. Controls are solid and follow standard FPS guidelines, however, you are able to customize your button layout if the defaults don't whet your whistle. Online gives this title great replay value. My biggest complaint-- no maps with vehicles online, otherwise a solid title all the way around.

Awesome graphics, fun weapons, and an interesting story line make this game a must have for any PS3 owner.

Resistance; Fall of Man is a must have PS3 shooter. The graphics are great and detailed to mix in perfectly with the story, and the gunplay and having the option to play alongside your family and friends make for one extremely fun PS3 exclusive. Some shooters now a days aren't so fresh or feel like you've played them a lot before, but this is not one of those, I am happy to say. Resistance: Fall of Man feels fresh and new, what you would want in great shooter. The controls are very easy to grasp and you don't have to be a pro to learn everything about the gameplay. I've had this game since December of 2006 (purchased from Best Buy). I'm usually not a First Person Shooter type of guy but this turned out to be my favorite game EVER! The game play is very fun. The online play is even better. The purchase price is a steal because I still play this game 10 hours a week almost a year later. Graphics are very good Sound is fantastic New experience every time you play online with others

If you read haloandCoDfan's review, he gave it a 1 because he is obviously a XBOX 360 fan. This game is amazing. It has great graphics, the storyline is amazingly fun, and the online gaming experience is one of the best available today. I would suggest that you pick this up, and if you don't, your missing out on an amazing game.

This game is just one of those games that you just have to have. The graphics are just unbelievable. The game takes about 3 days to beat when playing it for about 3 hours everyday. It is just so hard to put down the game and stop. The storyline is like watching a movie. It's very cinimatic. The guns are cool too. Go out and buy this game now. I SAID NOW!!! Go! Go! Go get it! NOW!

For the lacking aspects of the ps3, this game is actually quite good. The single player is really long, there's co op, multiplayer and online. It is also headset compatible. And the best part the environment is really destructible. Shoot a window, hit a window it breaks. Shoot at a wall and and it will leave marks. Shoot at something combustible and i will blow up. Good Game

Despite being one of the first releases on PS3, and despite the many other great games that have since been released, Resistance is one of my favorite PS3 games. The storyline is very interesting and captivating. The game play is smooth and well thought out. Overall, this game is very fun to play.

This game is great, the weapons are very unique and show their lineage of insomniac games. The voice-acting is top notch and really makes the story work well. The enemies are well balanced and unique from little annoying monsters to massive tanks with varying abilities. This is one of the best PS3 games out there, if you don't own it, get it...and pre-order the sequel. The only real complaints are regarding the multiplayer, they have the standards like deathmatch, capture the flag, and these have individual scoring and team versions. There is also the option of playing through the story with another person in split-screen, but not online. That can be a little annoying if you like online gaming, but there are lots of maps available, so it's not a total wash. I've also seen complaints about the draw distance not being as high as they wanted, but it seems similar to Call of Duty 4 which looks great too. Draw distance is how far you can see into the distance without the game obscuring it with smoke or something, it's not a big deal, more of an artistic decision. Overall this is great, especially if you don't have your heart set on fantastic multiplayer.

I didnt expect too much from this game because im not a huge fan of first person shooters. I got this game for my girlfriend. But when i played this game, it was like... wow. The graphics are fantastic, gameplay is excelent and smooth, and the storyline is also very good. Havent played online yet but im sure it will but awesome.

This is one of the best games ive ever played, its story tells the tale of the survival of mankind and your character's(Nathan Hale) fight to destrot the chimera, a brutal virus that turns humans into something else. the game playing is fantastic, anybody whos anybody will buy this for their PS3 collection! You should too!!

Amazing game that is fun and enjoyable through the hole game. The quantity and differnce of weapong make it fun to replay since there are so many ways to approch a situation and handle it. Multiplayer is fast and crazy, but really fun at the same time. Co-op is smooth and works well to if you dont have the online option.

As one of the first games to be made available to the PS3 this is well worth your time and money. The weapons, story, and detail of this game make for a surprisingly (for me initially) addictive game. Whether you battle it out online or in singleplayer you will enjoy this game for a long time (until the sequel comes out).

As the only game I purchased when I got my PS3, I was very glad to see how well the game was done! A long, detailed story line with genuine opportunity for replay kept me (and my friends) coming back for more. Played through no less that 3 times, it was fun to keep coming back and earning new weapons, which put twists into your strategy during gameplay. Great voice acting also helped to draw you into the storyline, giving you the feeling that this might actually have happened at one time, instead of the usual preachy salespitch that many games fall back on. If there is but one small problem I had- in some spots you notice that some more detail could have been present in such a highly-detailed game. It was only a few super minor things (such as a light bulb here and there or set of keys), and nothing that in any way took away from an otherwise EXCELLENT game! I think I'd recommend this for just about anyone looking to get a quality shooter experience but doesn't want a journey that's going to end too soon...
