Can you play Halo with 39 others online? No, but you can play Resistance with 40 people online and, unlike Xbox 360, it is FREE to get online. The weapons are great, the graphics are outstanding, the playability is amazing. You will not be dissapointed until you meet me in an online game.

This was the first game that i picked up when I bought my PS3 (other then Motor Strom), which came with the 80gb. But now the 80gb comes with MetalGear Solid 4. So if don't even have a PS3, I would pick up that 80. But back to Resistance, this has got to be the one of the crown jewls for playstation. This was one of the first game to come out for the system and it's still selling. It's a first-person shooter that takes place somewhere during WWI or WWII, but that never happens because an unknown creatures called the Chimeras have taken over Europe. You are an American soldier who is droped into battle in England, to defend the country form these creatures. Throughout the game you resive new weapons that comes really handy in times. Resistance: Fall of Man is the first game in the series. The next game is announced to be released in Nov. 2008. If you buy this game and enjoy if as much as I have, pick up Resistance 2 when it comes out

This is the best game for the ps3 and it is one of the best first person shooters I have ever played. The campaign mode is very fun and even has a co-op mode, and the online multiplayer is setup much better than halo 2 and the Resistance looks a lot better too.

Great graphics and well thought out all together. It takes a bit to get used to, like most shooters do. Many extra features including weapons. Extra secrets you can find out about the game itself. This is one of the greatest games I have ever had altogether.

This game is probably one of the better ps3 games out there. It has a good story line, co-op, and multiplayer modes and online gameplay is fun and enticing! I recommend this game to lovers of FPS games and all ps3 owners. You will not be disappointed!

The game is very close to perfect. This was the first game I bought with my PS3 a year ago and I'm still playing. The graphics are incredible, the game is challenging, and the online play is stellar. This will be in your game library for a long time.

I like first person shooters so this gets a 5 for that....but the graphics, game play and story line all kick butt...I have beat the game twice and still play it so it says a lot for the game... Get this one for your collection Shoot em up....

This is one of the best shooters I have every played. Usually I get tired of a first person shooter because it turns out to be the same thing over and over again. This really switched it up. The storyline is also excellent. Get it!

this game is awesome!!!! just wished it was longer, but since there is the points to unlock special items, thats totally makes up for that!!!! lots of action and a great storyline!!! cant wait for the resistance 2 to come out!!!

this is hands down one of the best first-person shooters i have ever played. the graphics are great and although its hard its not too hard. Its also very long and fun until the very end. once again GREAT GAME!!!!!!!!

I fight crime on a daily basis. Recently i got into a quarrel with the joker and decided enough is enough. There is only so much a bat can take. I get laughed at, punched, scratched and poked very hard. Being as rich as i am, i have decided to hang up my batsuit in a bat-like fashion ( hanging it upside down on the roof of my batcave, like a bat) and bought a ps3. My first purchase was this game, Resistance: Fall Of Man. It is just like my old life, you can fight the bad guys ( only I get to kill them and i get to use a gun). The story is captivating and is very batty. Bat. Even I , the Batman, got scared of the realistic and horrific enimies. Bat. I gave it a four star because it doesn't let you play as a bat. Otherwise it is an excellent representation of life scenarios in a parallel world of no bats. This was batman, signing off. Bat.

The online is fantastic and the game is loads of fun and challenging. By far the best shooter for the ps 3 of its type. Yes I know the ps3 does not have much yet but this is a hot game.

This is THE Best game out for playstation 3! Online is absolutely amazing, and so is co-op! The graphics are outstanding. I give it a 20 out of a scale to 10... absolutely amazing!

its a must have to your ps3 collection. this game has a good storyline. the online play is great. it has one of the best online play of the ps3 games that are out there.

The campaign is far better than most game's (including Halo) campaign. The guns are all unique and pretty cool. The health is different than most shooting games which could be a positive or negative depending on what you prefer. The graphics and multiplayer maps look amazing in high definition. They are not the most quality of maps but they look great. Online is frustrating at times during ranked matches because people tend to quit. The teams created are also unfair a lot putting you either on the dominant side or weak side (being on the weak side will drive you nuts). Don't let the negatives stop you from getting this game. It really is a great game.

Resistance has excellent graphics, and is a really fun game when you play with a friend in co-op, or online. The game is a plain and simple first person shooter. Give it some credit being that it was one of the first Playstation 3 games out. If your into an easy sci-fi game, and your easily entertained this game is perfect for you. The co-op and online featuers are the only great points the game has, and still the geame doesnt need you to really work together. Also the controls are good, typcial first person shooter controls.

One of the better games I played for the next gen systems. Along with R&C, Bioshock, and Heavenly Sword, this game is on top of my list (I've not seen AC/COD4/MS yet...). As far as FPS go, it has excellent exececution, story, and pacing. I've not played a game that has a better weapon selection. I can't wait for the next game in this series. I played Halo 3 right after I finished this game and I was very dissapointed with the master chief - it seems that not much has improved since the blockbuster original. I hope this series will improve with each installment...

Now that Blu Ray has just about won the format war I decided to get a PS3. I picked up Resistance based on the good reviews I've read. This is a very good FPS, especially since it was a launch title and a year and a half later the game seems to still hold its own. The game outputs at 720p (too bad not the full monty), but regardless it looks great The only downer is that you will meet a lot of the same enemies. There are different enemies throughout the game but for the most part you'll take on the main Chimera mutants. It does NOT take away from the fun though so pleae don't let that sway you from buying. 4 Stars!

The reason i bought this game was because of the online play. Up to 40 people at once means all out warfare. And gladly, i was not dissapointed. The online play is the smoothest i have ever seen for any online game. Im talking NO LAG AT ALL. They have several different modes for online including free-for-all, team deathmatch, capture the flag, and many other great ones. The campaign mode is not to bad either. Its actually longer than i thought it would be. OVERALL I LOVE THIS GAME AND IT IS A MUST BUY!!!! WHENS #2 GONNA BE OUT!!!!!
