    This was a first time watch for me and I was hoping that it would've been more about her entire career rather than the particular time frame they used of her career. I should've watched it first before puchasing.

    This movie is overrated. J Hudson did a phenomenal job but whoever wrote this could've done better. Aretha Franklin did so much more than what the movie focused on and the ending was not a good stopping point. Make your own judgment

    I love purchasing movies about people’s true lives but I wasn’t much into this one. Loved Aretha but was expecting more from this movie.

    Jennifer Hudson does a fabulous job as Aretha Franklin. The music is stellar. It’s a keeper film.

    This movie is a wonderfully done view into the life of the queen of soul (Aretha Franklin). If factual it offered facts about her that I did not know existed in her journey through life. She was, and still is an inspiration to me and millions of others.
