I got wind of the pre-release of this album and I have to say it grew on me. I've been a fan of WL for many years and was psyched to see a new album. In all honesty, it's a hard rock version of Mike's solo stuff. I like Mike's solo work, so I was pleased to listen to this album. There are a few trademark WL musical phrases in here guitar-wise. The players are excellent musicians, but as much as Mike is the voice of White Lion, Vito Bratta's guitar work was just as much the backbone of their songs. One day hopefully, these two guys will reconvene and make some music again. I have to hand it to Mike...a solid release, some good tunes, and I was stoked to hear new stuff from him. Dream is a great song...very catchy verse and quite modern. There may not be a hit song on this disc, but it's solid from start to finish and you'll find yourself humming along throughout!
