A quality female empowerment movie. A woman is done wrong by her lover, his friends and left for dead. Strong willed and determined not to die, she goes for revenge! Oh boy, she goes all in. Beautifully shot film and worth watching.

Revenge on Blu Ray is a violent and extremely bloody tale of retribution against awful men that left a vulnerable woman to die. They deserve her vengeance after the abuse. The film shows her becoming a different stronger human being.

Revenge can be compared to any number of assault/revenge films that have come out over the years. Pretty girl gets taken advantage of. Left for dead. Comes back to extract revenge against her assailants. This film does it very well. Its beautifully shot, has a nice score and a standout performance from Matilda Lutz. Oh, and this movie isn't afraid to spill the blood and gore. There is plenty of it, The disc itself boast striking PQ and excellent audio. Unfortunately, there are no special features except for the films green band and red band trailers. If you are into films like I Spit on Your Grave chances are you can get behind this.

Warning: This is not a movie for everyone. There's lots of blood, violence of all kinds and sex. Yet the movie doesn't seem exploitative. The determination of the young woman to stay alive raises the film above exploitation, although her ability to heal is beyond belief. Also the photography, with great close-ups, raise the movie to an art-house film level.

If you haven't seen this gritty French film where the hunter becomes the hunted do yourself a favor and pick this one up. The heroine undergoes an empowering transformation from victim to deadly survivor. And don't worry, there's buckets of blood and guts if smashing the patriarchy and gender stereotypes aren't your thing.

This movie really ,surprised me , because there has been many times , I would see a trailer and hope the movie delivers and this one does .

This is a modern stylized revenge exploitation that is a pretty wild ride, the performances are good, the cinematography is great and it delivers on the blood!!

Easily one of the better movies of 2018 (or 2017, whatever you want to call it). Revenge is brutal, but from the fire a new hero is created. Not since You're Next have I been so excited to see this kind of hero grace the screen. See this movie if you have a belly made of steel.

This film grabs you and doesn’t let you go! Very well directed moves at such a fast pace! Pq was stunning very rich detail in both bright and night scenes. AQ was stellar dialog was clear. Not much use of surrounds but when they do kick in they are excellent. Watch this film!

Smart, stylish and non-stop thriller with comical moments, I was surprised how much I liked this film. The acting was great and the cinematography was cool the story pulls you in!!!!!

This is another revenge film like I spit on your grave or gutterballs but this one does it better if your a fan of those films give this one a shot.

The production values on Revenge are high. The film is very well made. Coralie Fargeat has a natural filmmaking eye. I wonder what she could do with a big studio budget? Definitely, she’s a director to keep an eye on.

Really great *ahem* revenge flick , I recommend it to those who normally don't care for revenge films as this one may change your mind.

This was a surprise to me, but it was an awesome movie. It Shows the courage and the determination of a CITY girl used to a "Luxurious" life. This movie puts her life to the test and makes it trash. Her "instincts" of survival, have to come afloat.

This movie is gritty, violent, and very entertaining. The story shows the main character's fight for survival against some incredible odds. It shows how even those seen as weak, to some, can reach within and become a force to be reconed with!

Loved the actress. The movie might not be very believable, but still an entertaining movie. The Blu-ray looks really good.

Has a great synth soundtrack that compliments the gory flick! This movie would pair well with “Drive” for a movie night!

Very well made independent survival film similar to “I spit on your grave” but less graphic and not as transgressive.

This is well done. You get what you expect. If you like this genre you will be happy with it.

Was a little apprehensive when my friends told me about another r**e revenge film, as the subject usually doesn't get tackled with the upmost respect but this time I was really surprised.
