this movie is worth having if you are into comedies

Revenge of the Nerds is unabashedly juvenile at times, but it has a built in audience due to the fact that, to paraphrase one of the nerds in the film, "there are more of us than there are of you" (meaning the beautiful people like jocks and cheerleaders). That sweet undercurrent of underdogs coming out on top informs this film and provides the emotional component that helps to offset some iffy comedy. Carradine and Edwards are a lot of fun as the titular nerds, and the supporting cast is colorful and hyperbolic. This Blu-ray release sports generally very good to excellent technical specs, and comes Recommended.

I think each and every one of us have moments of being nerds. Even the jocks that don't want to believe they have nerd in them, secretly are nerds. Whether it is the comic book collection, still collecting action figures as adults, or just being wicked smart, they have nerd in them! I am proud of my nerd self, not being afraid to let it show, and appreciating this legend- "wait for it" - ary movie! It was almost like a rite of passage to see Revenge of the Nerds when it came out, and it gave hope to all us nerds, that it is possible to be cool while being a nerd, and we can get the girl in the end. Nerds of the world unite!

Maybe not in the league of Animal House, but a silly, stupid, and funny flick. Nerds overcome the odds against them, and one of them even gets the girl ( the hot one ).

Upgraded from the DVD to the Bluray. Though definitely better, the grain is heavy and I wouldn't recommend unless buying for the first time.

One of the great adult comedies of all time, the film showcases unique and great performances from all cast members. The underdog story is strong and the film moves at a brisk pace. The only downside is the treatment of women within the cast, however, given the world of the film and the setting the male point of view can be understandable, if not completely forgivable.

Imagine Animal House re-imagined. I use this comparison mainly becuase the movie is about rooting for the college underdogs and their comical antics. One thing that made this great was how it maintained humor without (too many) body-humor jokes or slapstick humor. All cast was serious about their craft and were trying to make a quality product and it showed.

This film is t hilarious from start to finish. While it is t a bad movie, the last act is definitely the best act.

I hadn't seen this in a while but picked it up on the cheap. Technically it is sufficient and probably the best the film has ever looked, though still quite a lot of grain and noise, but thats not why you're buying this. You buy because it is still hilarious after all these years. Nerds (still) Rule!!!

Never seen it before now and I loved it. It would've been a timeless movie if not for one, out of place and really creepy "sex" scene. Note that "sex" is in quotes because actual sex involves consent. So, yeah, be aware of that. If you can overlook that bit of "steamy romance" it's a really fun 80s movie.

I have always been a HUGE fan of this film and the R rated comedies from the 80s. Nerds have solid performances, great gags and even a music number thrown in for good measure. Sure looks good in the collection. BB always has some hidden gems in those bins. Do yourself a favor...dig through 'em, never know what you'll find. One thing's for sure, you'll always find something and at a great price.

At Adams College, the jocks rule the school from their house on high, the Alpha Beta fraternity. So when a group of socially-challenged misfits try to go Greek, they're instantly rejected by every house on campus. Deciding to start their own fraternity to protect their outcast brothers, the campus nerds soon find themselves in a battle royale as the Alpha Betas try to crush their new rivals.

Its not as funny as I remember it when I was younger. It still has some funny momments though.

This movie is a classic to me. Way better than the sequels that is for sure. Yes it may be a bit corny but that what makes it funny and enjoyable to me. Great movie to get you into the school spirit or to just relax with a bowl of popcorn and enjoy your evening.

If you don't know then you don't know. If you do, well then enjoy a classic.

I had been looking for this movie for some time and couldn't find it anywhere. A classic blast from the past such titles are very hard to find. Imagine my surprise when I found it on bluray at Best Buy!!!! Keep these iconic flicks from the past coming!

Loved this series growing & was so enjoyable to watch again. Content and story would appeal to older kids 15 and up..recommended for a peek at the 80’s classic movies

watching this movie growing up was a treat. My brother and his friends will watch this movie almost every other day. The humor, adult content and the pranks made this movie a classic. The football team against the nerds, very classic battle.

Loved this movie as a young adult. My kids think it is meh. Some of the jokes didn't age well but those raised in the 80's will still enjoy it.
