The Rexing AI Box is designed to add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to a compatible car, along with entertainment apps such as Netflix, YouTube, and TikTok Lite. That makes it more versatile than a basic wireless adapter: you can connect your phone without plugging it in every time, and the box offers additional media options through the car’s infotainment screen. For everyday use, wireless connectivity is the main attraction. Once paired, you can use your phone’s supported navigation, calls, and music through the car’s display while keeping the phone in your pocket or bag. Some buyers found pairing and installation straightforward, while another said the setup took a little trial and error. Your experience may depend on your vehicle’s existing system and how familiar you are with pairing devices. The extra apps are appealing, but they come with a couple of practical limitations. Netflix, YouTube, and TikTok Lite need an internet connection, so you may have to connect the box to your phone’s hotspot or another network. YouTube performance may also vary: one reviewer reported laggy playback and stuttering. Music playback received more positive feedback, and at least one buyer described the unit as responsive and easy to install. Since the product has only a small number of recent reviews, there isn’t much buyer feedback yet about long-term reliability or performance across different vehicles. Safety is the most important consideration. Video apps are for use while the car is safely parked—not while driving. Watching a screen, even briefly, can take a driver’s eyes and attention off the road, and video content can create a serious distraction. Passengers can use the entertainment features, but drivers should not watch or interact with Netflix, YouTube, TikTok, or other video apps while the vehicle is moving. Check your vehicle’s instructions and local laws, and use the system only in a way that keeps the driver focused on driving. Overall, the Rexing AI Box could be a convenient choice if you want wireless CarPlay or Android Auto and extra entertainment options for passengers or while parked. Expect some setup, make sure you have internet access for streaming, and keep video playback off whenever you’re driving. A useful upgrade when used responsibly, but the streaming features should never compete with attention to the road.

The unit is light and super-easy to install. Plug it in, connect via Bluetooth, and, voila! You've got wireless Android Auto / Apple CarPlay alongside Netflix and Youtube. To take advantage of the built-in Netflix and Youtube, you'll need to connect the device to the internet or a hotspot. It even worked with my Volvo C40's vertical touchscreen. The sound is excellent through my car's stereo, and the unit is responsive enough. The "ambient lighting" is really just the LED's on the inside of the back of the unit, but it's a cool feature.

Overall, it works, but it can be pretty laggy, especially when first starting up or loading a video. Once the video actually gets going, it runs much better. One thing to keep in mind is that you need an internet connection in your car or you’ll need to connect it to your phone’s hotspot. If your phone has bad service, streaming is going to struggle or may not work at all. It’s a cool little device, but the initial lag and dependence on a good internet connection are definitely things to be aware of.

The Rexing AI Box is a very easy way to add wireless CarPlay or Android Auto to your car along with Netflix, YouTube, etc. Plug and play, super quick to hook up and install. I was up and running in minutes. Now when I get into the car everything hooks up and I'm listening to my music or watching shows on my screen. Alone with directions on maps. Very glade I purchased the AI Box.

Excellent upgrade for my car! The Rexing AI Box makes wireless CarPlay/Android Auto easy and adds Netflix, YouTube, and TikTok Lite right on the factory screen. Setup was straightforward, connectivity has been reliable, and the interface is very responsive. Great all-in-one device for anyone looking to add more functionality and entertainment without replacing the factory system.

Easy to set up and works great with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. Netflix, YouTube, and TikTok Lite are a nice bonus, and the connection has been reliable. A great way to add more features without changing the factory screen.

I used Rexing wireless carplay before, now they have a better one which can be used to play Youtube videos on your screen. The only con I noticed is that it takes several seconds to start, but still a decent time. Very satisfied so far.

Setup was surprisingly easy, you do need your phone for hotspot in order to watch Netflix. Wireless carplay is super convenient. Compared to other AI boxes, this one is way easier to use

This has a lot of features that, if you need them, can be advantageous. However, these features require a lot more button presses to get to Apple CarPlay, which is the real reason for this device. It kept starting up to the main page and then, with my non-touchscreen Mazda HU, it was hard to get into CarPlay. The non-touchscreen also made it impossible to connect the device to a wireless network. Luckily, I attached a USB keyboard to the AI box and was able to use that. The YouTube and other apps require some sort of wifi network, and if you are using Apple CarPlay, that is a pain to switch from CarPlay to hotspot, and you can only choose one, so choose wisely. Overall, I like the original Rexing wireless CarPlay-only adapter and went back to it.

I think this product is great for the right person. I order this under the assumption that I could install it on ANY vehicle with a screen. This is not the case. I wish I read the description a big more indepth. The MOST important information is that this will ONLY work if your vehicle has a usb cable for carplay. So if you car does not come with any form of Carplay OR doesnt have an input cable for it, then this will not work for you. That being said, everythat it promises if you dod have the carplay usb cable to your vehicle, it delivers. It basically creates an overlay over your operation system to display it's own interface. Veryr easy to use and really nice to convert everything to "wireless". Wireless meaning you do not have to connect your phone via wire. I think the best way to think of this product is a TV media box on a NON smart tv. It will give it smart tv features and you dont have to spend on a whole new TV/ radio head unit. That being said it would be a specific group of people this product is for. If you want to keep everything factory without cutting any wires or purchasing custom radio head units / audio system hardware and screens and possiblly lose OEM functions THIS is for you. Since my old car doesn't work with this. I gave it to my friend, and he's pretty happy with it.

If you have a vehicle with factory-wired CarPlay or Android Auto and you hate dealing with tangled cables every time you get behind the wheel, the Rexing AI Box is a major upgrade. It goes a step beyond a standard wireless adapter by acting as its own standalone multimedia hub. The Good: Wireless Freedom: Once paired, it connects automatically to Apple CarPlay within about 10 to 15 seconds of starting the vehicle. GPS navigation via Apple Maps/Google Maps and music streaming on Spotify work reliably without any noticeable audio lag. Built-in Entertainment: Having standalone apps like Netflix and YouTube pre-installed directly on your infotainment screen is great for downtime while waiting to pick up someone or sitting at a charging station/rest stop. Form Factor: The adapter is compact and comes with both USB-A and USB-C cables, tucking neatly into the center console without cluttering the dash. Things to Keep in Mind: Setup: Initial Bluetooth pairing can be a bit finicky—I had to remove my phone from my car’s built-in Bluetooth connection. I also cleared out any stale Bluetooth or WiFi connections. After that, it only gave me the option to start Apple CarPlay even though I wanted to use Android Auto. I then realized that selecting Apple CarPlay just gets you into the initial interface where you can watch your multimedia. From that screen, you can select the Android Auto app, and it gets you into Android Auto like normal. Hotspot Dependency: Keep in mind that running the standalone video apps (Netflix/YouTube) requires enabling your phone's personal mobile hotspot, as the box needs its own WiFi data connection. Therefore, switching between Android Auto and multimedia can be a bit cumbersome because you have to turn off the WiFi being used for Android Auto in order to use the mobile hotspot. Video App UI: While CarPlay/Android Auto navigation is smooth, the built-in Android video interface can feel slightly sluggish to navigate on some factory screens, and you may notice brief buffering if your cell reception dips. The resolution also depends on your connection strength. A worthwhile gadget that cleans up your console and brings extra streaming functionality to older factory setups without needing an expensive head unit replacement.

I’ve had several good experiences with Rexing products, so I had high expectations for the AI Box, and it didn’t disappoint. Setup was quick and easy, and having wireless CarPlay has been a surprisingly nice quality-of-life upgrade—no more digging around for a cable every time I get in the car. The entertainment features have also come in handy when I’m parked waiting for someone, taking a break on a road trip, or just sitting in the car for a few minutes. Being able to pull up YouTube or Netflix without having to mess with my phone is really convenient. It’s one of those accessories that I didn’t think I needed until I started using it. Another great product from Rexing, and definitely worth it for me.

Super easy to hook up and flawless performance. I simply logged into my Netflix account and it worked great. Even when you're multitasking and switching back and forth between your video apps and GPS or whatever you're doing there's no lag just constant good performance. I have to say I am impressed!! I wasn't expecting it to work as well as it does. I bought a different brand of one of these years ago and the performance then was lacking. Rexing has definitely figured it out....this one really flows. The only reason you don't have these apps on your car now is because of Licensing deals. Car manufacturers don't want to pay for it so go around them and put it in yourself with one of these.

The Rexing - AI Box is a great addition to your car recognizes CarPlay or Android when your phone is plugged into the USB port. It not only makes it possible to display CarPlay or Android Auto wirelessly but it gives several other options to choose from. Once you pair your phone to the AI Box (which I found was easy) then you have options such as Bluetooth calling, Bluetooth Music, Apps such as Netflix, Youtube, TikTok Lite. You can have access to local files and audio and video playback when a memory card is inserted. Apps such as Netflix, Youtube and TikTok Lite require access to the Internet. It's very nice to have all these options available. I think you will like this AI Box and I recommend it.

I have a 2020 Toyota Corolla which only had Apple Carplay and not Android Auto. This AI box finally allows me to use the touchscreen for Android Auto and personalize my driving experience. The setup is simple and really easy. Followed the provided setup instructions and quickly got to use Android Auto with my car. The box is nice and compact and comes with the USB cables needed to connect to the car.

This is a great product. I wanted to have a different setup in my vehicle rather than plug my phone into the USB port. The setup is a little tricky but eventually it got there. The only thing that is didn't care for was the YouTube functionality. It seems to be very laggy and clunky, often stuttering the video. The music functionality is excellent and i love being able to switch between my personal player and Spotify via car screen now.

Was wondering will it really work and it works. Car play is flawlessly and powerful enough regarding the size of the product. Kids are enjoying the show in the car. Love the technology.
