Good quality camera. I also own the Rexing dash cam. The wiring is hard wired to the monitor, would give 5 stars if it was something more common like USB-C. Install is easy.

Easy installation and works great with my Tesla, here other cameras do not! Cords were easy to hide as well

I’ve been using Rexing dashcams in my vehicles for years, so when I started looking for a way to keep an eye on my 6-month-old granddaughter during our weekend outings, the Rexing BC500 Baby Cam was one of the first ones I looked at. Having a dedicated monitor is much safer than trying to glance into a shaky headrest mirror, especially when she’s rear-facing and I’m navigating Southern California traffic. Here’s my take on it from a grandfather’s perspective, Setup and Installation: The installation is very straightforward—no need to be a tech expert. It took me less than five minutes to strap the camera to the rear headrest and run the cable to the dashboard monitor. Since it plugs directly into a USB port or car charger, I didn't have to mess with any complicated wiring. It’s "plug and play" in the truest sense, which I appreciate when I'm quickly getting the car ready before picking her up. Picture Quality (Day & Night): The 1080p resolution is exactly what I’ve come to expect from Rexing. The image is crisp enough to see if her eyes are open or if she’s dropped her pacifier. The real "wow" factor for me is the Infrared Night Vision. It kicks in automatically as soon as it gets dark, providing a clear grayscale image. It gives me a lot of peace of mind when we’re heading home and she’s already drifted off to sleep in the back seat in her car seat. The Dedicated Monitor: The 4.3-inch screen is a perfect size—large enough to see clearly at a glance but not so big that it blocks my view of the road. It comes with a suction cup mount that stays secure even on some of the bumpier roads around here. Unlike some newer baby cams that require a smartphone app, this is a closed system. I prefer this because I don't want to be fooling with my phone or worrying about a Wi-Fi connection while I'm driving. Wide-Angle View: The 150-degree wide-angle lens is fantastic. It covers the entire backseat, so if we eventually have a second car seat back there, I won't need to adjust much. The 360-degree rotatable camera head also makes it easy to get the angle just right, regardless of how the car seat is positioned. Minor Cons: The only slight downside is that the screen can be a little tough to see in direct, high-noon sunlight due to glare, though the anti-glare coating does help a bit. Also, the build quality feels a bit more "plastic" than their high-end dashcams, but for the price point and the purpose it serves, it’s more than adequate. My Verdict: If you’re already a fan of Rexing products, this is a no-brainer. It’s reliable, easy to use, and provides a much better view than any mirror ever could. For any grandparent who wants that extra layer of safety and peace of mind while driving with the little ones, I highly recommend it….. And the price can’t be beat.

The image looks fine for what it is and size. It automatically goes into night vision when it’s dark and back to normal when it’s bright again. No adjustments for changing brightness or colors. Just set it and forget it.

The quality of the images are very clear its easy to use and the night vision is pretty good good. What i like the most is its easy to operate.

This cam is honestly pretty good - better than I thought given the low price. The setup was incredibly easy since it doesn't use Wi-Fi and it's easy to attach to the car. The 5-inch screen is huge and really clear and the night vision is really good. The power cord could be a bit longer but it's still decent. I also really like the wide area view - very helpful for minivans or larger SUVs with multiple rear seat rows. For a non-essential "nice-to-have" piece of tech it's pretty good for the price. Definitely better than a mirror or turning around and being fully distracted.

For the price cannot be beat. Easy to install and use. Very clear picture with bonus night time viewing. Purchased to use as a pet monitor.

Very versatile easy to mount with the straps, small non-intrusive design, discreet wires, screen is the right size to not be in the way, just what I needed to monitor my backseat. And due tot he size I don't have to worry about it standing out to car thieves.

I’ve been a loyal customer, owning five Rexing dash cams and dash cam accessories throughout the years and they all worked flawlessly. This baby monitor from Rexing is similar to their other automotive products. High quality, easy to install and use and priced well. If you need to monitor your baby or pet, this is a huge upgrade over the standard mirror.

This is an excellent addition to your vehicle if you have kids or even pets. It's super simple to install and easy to use. Both devices need power so you will need to have power access for your monitor and the camera. Both items are very lightweight. Simply mount the camera on the back of your seat and point it towards your little one. It does have a wide angle so you can get multiple kids in it if needed. All you have to do is connect both and walah, no more need to turn your head from the road to look in the back seat. Also, it does have an infrared camera so night time viewing is great as well.

Works great the installation canle is long so it can be wrapped around and hiden real good behind the trim. The image quality is good specially in the dark. I wish it came with a usbC instead of the cigarette lighter power adapter. Most modern cars have multiple usb c now and the cigarette lighter is not in a convinient location. I was able to find a usb c adapter that worked to power the device but it took some resewrch.

My wife and I are expecting a child, so we started looking into different safety features available on the market. This camera caught our eye, and we decided to get it. It had good reviews and wasn’t very expensive. After purchasing and installing it, we decided to test it out. We took a long trip to visit my parents, with our dog in the back seat. The camera came in very handy because our dog got car sick, and we were able to monitor him throughout the drive. The video quality was great at night—just as clear as during the day, or even better compared to when I had to turn around to check on the puppy. We’re really liking this camera and plan to keep it. I’m not very tech‑savvy, but I was still able to install it within 30 minutes. We also already have a Rexing dash camera from years ago (we bought it maybe 10–12 years back), and it still works great. Because of that experience, we didn’t hesitate to buy the same brand again. Our old dashcam has saved us a lot of money when we were involved in a collision. Long story short, this is a great brand, the camera works well so far, and I highly recommend it.

Well this one is pretty straight forward. This is a great little device for a really cheap price. Instead of turning your whole body to check on your baby Or to try spot them in the mirror.... both could easily cause an accident. You just mount this screen on your Dash, Aim the camera Easy peasy Less than five minutes to put it all in And you can keep an eye on your baby the whole way. It switches to black and white infrared pretty quickly and the picture is always 1080p HD. I drove around for quite a while and the picture does not shake at all very very good stability. I'm sure you could also use this in your home and other applications. As long as there's a USB port to plug into you're good to go.

easy setup - really long wire that was very easy to hide away along the bottom of the car instead of having to have wires hanging from my headliner.

This is a quality, affordable camera and monitor. It was very easy to install (about 5 minutes) and the monitor adhears to the dash very well. We installed it just before taking a trip with our little one and the camera provided good image quality both day and night. Some people may want a bigger monitor, but this one is ideal for our vehicle. Would recommend to a friend.

Received product via shipping quick with no hassle. Installed was simple and also quick. Love the size/compactness of the camera as well as the monitor on my dashboard. My only small ick is the video clarity is a little grainy sometimes depending on the lighting outside but I guess that’s to be expected. All in all, great product and it’s serving the purpose that I needed.

I absolutely love our Rexing car baby camera! It’s easy to install and provides a clear picture of the baby. It's much easier and safer just looking at the camera in front of me rather than turning around to see a mirror or trying to look in the rear view mirror to see the baby in his mirror. The resolution is great, I can see my baby clearly in day or night. If you are looking for an affordable car baby cam, this is it.

I got this as an upgrade from a cheaper camera I've been using. I'm pretty impressed. It's easy to install. You just mount the camera on the headrest or on the rear window. Then run the wire to the front of the car and connect it to the monitor. You can connect the power wire from the monitor into the lighter plug. A couple of things I really liked about this is that it came with a suction cup mount for the monitor. This makes it easy to mount on the windshield and you don't have to worry about using adhesive to hold it on your dash, etc. Another thing I liked is that there are multiple ways you can install the camera. It's designed to strap onto the headrest. Which is certainly the easiest if that's an option. However, I have one car that doesn't have a removeable headrest in the back seat and there is no good way to strap the camera on there You can remove the strap and put double sided tape on the mount to hold it to the rear window. There is enough adjustment in the camera that you can angle it to show the car seat. This wasn't possible with another brand of camera I'd previously been using. The monitor is also light weight, thin, and looks neat mounted on the windshield. The image quality is as expected. It's plenty clear to see watch my child and see everything they are doing in the car seat. Overall I'm impressed with the whole package. The quality seems great, installation is easy, and it comes with everything you need to easily get it set up. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for one of these.
