Customers express satisfaction with the M1 1296P Mirror Dash Cam's camera quality, ease of use, and installation process. Many appreciate the inclusion of a rear view camera and find the price reasonable for the features offered. After a few days of using this camera it has been great. Easy to setup and easy to use. But there is a few things that I think could use a little improvement, the UI to look through the video could be improve so that I dont have to keep scrolling to the video that I want, maybe a arrow on the pagination too or let me choose a number. The reflection of the rear is nice but I am still getting use to it since it is not like my old mirror.
Overall pretty nicely design, still getting use to it.

I should have gone with this dash cam in the first place but the csr talked me out of it due to him saying the mirror was never a mirror(i found out he was wrong... gotta love screen savers). I love the touch screen! It's really easy to use. The only down fall is it's hard to take the memory card out without taking the can down.

This dashcam works as needed but i learned to not leave it plugged in at all times as it may drain your car battery. I had to jump my car after leaving it plugged in. I would also recommend a higher quality dashcam unless you are only looking for the most basic.

Very slick dual front/rear camera with touch-screen interface!
It adds a lot of functionality that most car manufacturers consider "optional" - blind spot detection, backup camera, backup assist.
The leading option of this device in my opinion - it has a battery in it that keeps things rolling when the car is off. So, if some knucklehead hits your car while it's parked, the cameras will capture the footage to hand over to the police/insurance company.
Definitely a great unit - be sure to pick up a memory card while still at the store when you're buying, you'll need it!

Bought this from Best Buy before going on a 10hr roadtrip with my family. My friends saw the dashcam and they loved it coz it comes with a rear camera. It’s a great add on to any car and the resolution is so clear and crisp. This dashcam is an added peace of mind when traveling thinking that everything is recorded front and rear. Impressive and good quality.

Awesome product, works perfectly. Good quality and camera is pretty clear. I would recommend this highly for all who are looking for a dash cam. Easy installation. Best part it records front and rear both in single device. A true value for your hard earned money

This dash cam works very well. Especially like the ability for the dash cam to automatically turn into a backup cam when I put the car into reverse. The hardwire kit works well with the product, but the power connector faces the wrong way when plugged in with the reverse video feed line. Fixed this issue by buying a micro USB cord so that the 90 degree angle bend isn't an issue.

The video quality and ease of installation is great. The one drawback is the lineup grids are useless going in reverse. They are not vehicle specific so do not accurately depict your space cushion. I don't bother to watch the lineup. I just focus on the video image itself and it works fine for letting you see clearly what is behind you. I would give it 5 stars, but for that pesky lineup issue.

It’s ok not bad for the price on what it does, it records front and back cameras and is ok recording quality. Can’t complain about it except that my car mirror is a big and it took some time to set it up where it records the front of the car and the rear is limited to what angles you can mount it. It’s not impossible just a little work to get it set up right.

I wanted to add a dash/ rear camera to my 1994 car. This system works well and was pretty basic to hook up. The most time consuming part of the install was running the wire from the trunk to the windshield rear view mirror. A negative for me, is my car is a convertible, and it is hard to read the screen in bright light with the top down.

4/5 stars (and that is being generous). The Device itself was not very hard to install so I give 4.5/5 for ease of installation. The quality of the dashcam and rear came, however... perhaps it is the weakest aspect of this product. Despite being labeled as 1080p 30fps, it is definitely much lower quality in pixel count. For example, at night it is nearly impossible to see other license plates of cars in front of back of you. The sensor is really poorly made and quality is often over or underexposed in daylight. Unless you're super close to the car in front or behind, you won't be able to clearly distinguish the license plate. Other than the quality, the Rexing cam works well. You can adjust the cam view on the mirror up and down but not side to side (no left & right). It is a fish-eye angle lens so covers mostly all aspects. Poping the SD card in and out is simple. I used a 256GB and I checked the footage on my computer... The footage is in segments of time intervals, like 5 minutes or less. I wish it was a single recording per road trip rather than 5-minute segments. Overall not a bad product, but for the price of 120$+, there are better ones in the market. I got it on sale for 80$, thus not a terrible price for value.

Easy camera to set up in my opinion. I have not set up the rear camera. Video set up was easy. Quality of video is very good. Very happy with my purchase and the extra security it provides. Looking at getting another one for my 2 other vehicles.

Video quality is decent, screen is great, but the user interface and firmware on this is absolutely unbelievable bad. Whoever thought a full brightness white splash screen when turning on and off needs to be forced to look at it in their car at night until they repent, unit also power cycles randomly causing it to blind you with that abhorrent splash screen which can be dangerous. Also auto screen brightness is stuck at 100%
Other than that, and that's really my only gripe, it's a really cool thing, allowing a full view behind the car, making backing up and lining up a trailer really easy.
Rexing, please release a firmware update at least making the startup screen dark mode.

I've never had a backup camera in my vehicle before, so getting this was exciting! The picture quality is AMAZING!!! Its pretty easy to understand, just swipe to see front or back camera. I keep it on back camera mostly, but its nice to switch to front if needed. You also will need a sd card to save your vids/pics. Now it did take a little getting used to at first. I wasnt sure if i was gonna like it bc it plays tricks with your mind bc you see the vehicles going away instead of towards you. But after a wk or so, my eyes adjusted and i love it!!! The tech at Best Buy installed it for me (he is awesome btw) and explained everything. My Jeep Wrangler didnt come with a backup camera, so i wanted something to help a little with my surroundings, and this does the trick!

Installing the dash cam was simple and easy. I was impressed by the quality of the font camera and it’s wide angle. I would definitely recommend this device with at least a 128GB card if you don't want your files to override at a quick pace.

Brought this rexing cam for my midsize truck (little dakota). Was easy to install and set up with a use of a drill and some gromet. Recommend buying a license plate bracket to install the back up cam. Just to access dash cam recording require a sd card to record.

Vibration and rear camera angle inconvenience

Good: entire mirror as a screen. Touch screen. Both front and back camera.
Poor: The rubber bands are used to tie the camera mirror to the existing regular mirror. The bands were not strong enough for tightening and caused entire mirror vibration during driving. Also, there are 5 angle selections on screen. No of them can accommodate both longer and shorter distance to guide backward reverse driving. Your have to swipe screen to guide while driving. Annoy.

Installation is not easy as I would have hoped. The quality of both the front and back camera work well. You have two options of installing the back camera through either the sticky pad or drilling it.
