This is a quality clear 4k camera. I like that it includes sd card and can use usb c for power. I also like that I can detach the back camera option. One thing i wish is that the back camera could rotate to the side.

I was looking for a dashcam that checked all my boxes and this was it. Came with SD card, wiring kit, cabin/front view, and 4K video for about half the price of other brands. Been using for a few days now and so far so good no complaints!

Great upgrade from my previous camera. I haven't installed it yet. The only thing is that it doesn't come with rear camera. I like that it comes with wires for hardwired cam and sd card. Not sure if the suction will hold well. It's quite expensive tho.

Rexing R316 Review
This is my third Rexing Dash Cam; I have never been disappointed in the Rexing product line.
Love the latest high-Tech devices, therefor I upgrade when an advanced product appears.
The mounting is different than the previous versions, went from 2-sided tape to a suction cup design, easy removal and relocation.
The R316 has both front and cabin cameras, front recording at 4K 1080p resolution, with GPS.
The other nice feature is the Wi-Fi is dual band 2.4GHz and 5GHz and connection are solid.
The Rexing R316 comes with a 64GB SD card included, providing ample storage space for your video recordings. The automatic incident detection system with G-force sensor provides parked car protection. The user interface is intuitive with control buttons located along the bottom.
The Rexing R316 was the right choice.

So far it’s good, I installed by plus it in 12 volts adapter, I don’t want it installs by hardwired because my car fuses box in engine compartment .

Seems pretty cool so far except the directions are a bit confusing. I wish there was a video that shows how to hardwire install. Never had a dashcam before so hard to compare.

I bought this Dash Cam to replace my older (much cheaper and bulkier one). My old one had the buttons on the back and it was impossible to see what buttons you were pressing. This one has the buttons on the bottom, which I appreciate. Also, this one is much easier to navigate when trying to watch back videos. My old one was NOT. Love the upgrade!

Verdict: The Rexing R316 4K GPS WiFi dashcam is a great solution if you need a reliable front & cabin dashcam a decent price. Features are compelling… pretty much everything you need in a dashcam: 4k, GPS, collision detection, and a hardwire kit. My other two Rexing cameras still work perfectly after several years, so I trust Rexing reliability too.
Initial impressions. It’s a pretty small camera so it does not obstruct your view while driving. The camera angle can be adjusted from the mount pivot. The cabin camera can be easily removed. The suction mount is convenient, but I hope it stays put even in hot weather. There is a static plastic included… Not sure what it’s for; I didn’t use it. The primary charging cable should be long enough for most cars. There is a hardwire kit included, which is awesome.
Setup. This is the third dashcam I installed, so I knew what to expect. The included trim tool isn’t great. I used a bigger trim tool that came with an older Rexing camera. Ultimately, you can jam cables pretty hard into the trim… the cable and the trim will be fine. You can hide all the cabling that way slowly and methodically. The installation looks very clean.
App. The app isn’t necessary for the camera to work. Once the SD card is installed and the dashcam has power, the camera automatically starts loop recording. The app makes it easy to adjust settings and view videos, but is not necessary. My first few tries to connect to the app via WiFi failed, but it worked eventually. No big deal.
Usage. The dashcam just works! All the time! It also records if it detects motion while the car is parked. Impact detection ensures that videos are saved in case of an accident. The button interface is not easy, so it will take a few minutes to learn.
Things I like:
- Included hardwire kit… AMAZING!! Thank you very much for that!
- Easy to install… If in doubt, just search for videos
- Plug and play to start to operate… records directly to the 64 GB SD Card (included)
- Use smartphone to connect via WiFi to watch recorded videos
- Modular capability; you can quickly disconnect the cabin camera anytime depending on the situation
- 4k resolution on front camera
- Night vision for front camera and infrared for rear camera
- I like the suction mount because I was able to reposition the camera a few different times until it was perfect, but… we will see if it stays on the windshield when it gets hot
- Parking mode is great. Video records any movement or impact
- Collision detection! Locks the video when it detects impact
- It just works, every single day
Things I don’t like:
- Interface is not super easy. It’s hard to read the buttons. Not ideal if you are planning to regularly pull footage from the camera. Not really a problem for us since we only use the camera in case of an accident
- I had difficulties connecting to the WiFi initially, but it worked after a few tries
Overall, I am happy with this dash cam. Installation was easy and it does what I need it to do. I have been happy with my other two Rexing dashcams so I expect this one to be just as good.

I don't understand the Wi-Fi setup for this camera. I should be able to open the app to see the vehicle parked at my home. The instructions need to be revamped.
The camera works, but I would like to be able to open the app to check on any activities. Also, the instructions for the parking icon are still off. The instructions do not show you where to go to turn that feature on.
For the default Wi-Fi password, I should be able to use my own password. The instructions do not supply that information.

The R316 4K Dash Cam with Wi-Fi & GPS is definitely an upgrade to the older Rexing V1 model I had for a number of years. The design looks sleeker with a slimmer profile and has some added features and accessories that makes it stand out. Let’s start with the pros. If you are getting this unit to add some extra security features in parking mode, the fact that it comes with a smart hard wire kit is awesome. And is a must do if you want the unit to always have power. If you don’t have the know how or comfortable hardwiring the unit, it also comes with an auxiliary DC adapter. While yes that is easier to use for, but then you have the wire clutter and loses power when the car is shut off rending the parking mode useless. I would say it is easy to install the smart hardwire but that’s from having done it before and having a multimeter to test which fuses to swap out with the wire harness. The video and audio quality is good. I wouldn’t say you could pick out details from the display on the unit, but if you take the SD card to your PC you can get license plate info, but mostly if it is the vehicle right in front of you. You get a wide view of your dash, but making out plates on the next lane can be difficult. This unit also records the cabin simultaneously, great for car pool karaoke 😁, or to insure what is happening inside during any incident which can provide great information. The unit itself is hung up by a suction cup which includes a GPS unit. I like how it is build into the suction cup so there is no additional mounting, however I can also see that it could be a drawback in case the mount breaks. The GPS info gets tracked on the video which provides additional helpful detail on any incident. The ability to set this unit to Gshock sensor or Timelapse during parking mode adds additional security, however Timelapse can be tricky capturing the detail as they are just snapshots at certain intervals. So you may have to rely on luck. Some of the downsides include: I was disappointed that the input for a rear camera was not compatible with Rexing’s older cameras. Installation of hard wire kit is not documented clearly, so you will have to do some homework. The cabin camera, why is it detachable? I thought you would be able to adjust the angle, but no, it just pulls off. There are buttons underneath the unit, which is not really intuitive on getting to certain screens. Yes you can figure it out, but if you don’t use the functions in a while, I can easily see how it can get confusing as there are long presses to get to certain functions. The app is sort of lack luster. You can download video files to your phone when you put the unit on WiFi mode. But it’s not a very good interface. The video and sound are good, but like I mentioned earlier, you will most likely only see plates for the vehicle you are behind, and oncoming traffic or cars in the next lane is a bit blurry. The unit overall does the job for what I need, but I don’t know if I can fully recommend the unit for everyone.
