Worked pretty well for a year and a half, then it had an issue of turning on and off

This camera works as expected, my wife has one too and its already saved us in a collision on 75 in Atlanta. The rear camera showed that the other party was driving at a higher speed than apparently stated.

Good quality recording and easy to use and setup. A frustrating issues was that after about two months of use, the camera would sporadically turn off a minute or so after turning on my car. Not sure if this was fixed with what we tried below. Next issue was that the rear camera stopped recording- this was resolved by reformatting the sd card and putting settings back to default. Updated firmware, also, so will see if the powering off issue is resolved too, but too soon to know.

This was super easy to install in my 2011 Silverado. With the smart hardwire kit that was included with this dashcam made life so much easier, no need to remember to turn it on and off. The inside fuse panel doesn't have switched fuses, only constant. So I had to hardwire it to the X-14 block of the MBEC. Routing the wires in the headliner without pulling it down was a bit tricky but doable. Picture quality is really good. The front camera image quality is excellent, which is to be expected. The rear facing camera I have mounted inside at the top of the rear window which is tinted with 5% limo black. Even with the dark tint the image quality is outstanding, way better than I expected after reading some reviews. I have zero complaints about this dash cam. I highly recommend it to anyone.
