Better photo quality than my old ricoh S. Easy to set up. I like being able to edit my raw images with lightroom to help clean some of the pictures as needed. Great quality for the price.

    VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH BEST BUY

This is not a product review but a very unhappy review about best buy. I’ve ordered a BRAND NEW camera and I’ve received a camera with no instructions inside and for my surprise, there were pictures of the last owner in it (a lot of pictures). I’m not sure if the product is used or refurbished, but I’ve paid for a BRAND NEW camera, not a REFURBISHED/USED one. Very unhappy with this situation. I’ve never thought I would have this problem with Best Buy. I’ve paid 1000 dollars, insurance, had the shipping delayed and now this surprise. I had to use this camera tomorrow (02/12/2021), so I contacted then and you know what best buy offered me? A 25 dollar gift card (REALLY?!) Pay attention to this detail if you are planning to buy this camera. Also, know your rights if they offer you a cheap apology. They will not lower the price for you, that’s it.

Fantastic Pics - Battery Doesn't Last Long

This is my second 360 camera and it's a considerable upgrade. The picture quality and editing tools are top notch. The wifi connection is decent. The battery needs to be improved upon (loses about 40% of battery after 10-15 pics). There's no MicroSD support (all storage is onboard), but plenty of storage for 2000+ pics, but not much video (maybe 4 min).

Top of the Line VR cam for Photos

This is the best VR camera in the consumer world available right now. With a 1 inch sensor, this camera delivers the best images possible in the VR realm. The ONLY cons I can find are -integrated Battery -integrated Memory This camera is more for Still photos, and not Video. However it does have the capability for video. They have recently released a new version of the Z1 with a higher internal Memory drive. This works fantastic with Matterport too !! A protective case is a must too!

I would give it 5 stars, except for the fact that the battery and memory are not removable. Not having a charged back-up battery has caused some serious anxiety. "Indoor use only" is not ideal either, but it does do a pretty great job. Colors are truer to life than another camera I have, even in HDR mode.

This camera is easy to set up and easy to use. The battery doesn’t last very long so it’s good to have an external power pack to attach to it. I purchased one from a different camera store and it had connection issues so I couldn’t use it. There were no more in stock, on many websites. Using Best Buy’s website I was able to find one a mere 4 hours drive from me so I purchased it and set to pickup at the store. When I arrived it was waiting at the counter for me. So easy. Since it’s so expensive, I treat it very carefully, and purchased a hard carrying case to protect it. It also does not come with a lens cover, so it would be good to get one to protect the expensive glass.

I use this camera for real estate photography and it is a huge step up from previous models. I would describe the image quality of a good iPhone photo. Easy to use. I would recommend a monopod with feet to minimize the base in the photos. Expensive? Yes, but for what I use it for it has been great.

Great camera to use for capturing scans for Matterport. Easy to move around a space when mounted to a monopod. Overall good quality 360 photos for capturing and documenting jobsites. More megapixels would be great but still does a nice job. I have noticed that the camera does really well in low light situations. The charge on the battery doesn't last as long as I would like, but overall a good camera for what I use it for.

Best 360 camera for Virtual tour photgraphy

This is the highest quality 360 camera I've found for virtual tours and such. The big sensor takes great photos, and ever RAW files too if you are a pro. Highly recommended. It doesn't have a memory card slot, but it has plenty of storage and you don't have to manage extra storage cards or deal with the fuss.

This camera makes taking 360 degree photos so easy. The Ricoh Tours Software is very easy to stitch the photos together too. resolution is spectacular. A bit pricey to get great results.

Incredible quality! I have taken shots with a Matterport camera 134MP and this one 24MP but I have to say the Z1 color and black tones are much better than the Matterport. This is a high end 360 camera. I was concerned about the battery life since it has a built in battery but I’ve used it for 1-2 hours continuously and the battery has drained just 50%.

Finally a 360 camera that creates high enough quality images to sell to clients. The previous versions were just to low resolution. Love the camera and can’t wait to make more money with it!

I've used Matterport for my company Virtual Tours and this Theta Z1 is an excellent alternative to the $3000+ Matterport Pro2. This fun camera is great for my real estate, but also a ton of fun on vacation or at parties.
