PJ Harvey might be the sexiest, toughest, and most honest artist of her generation. And this album proves it. From begining to end, she rocks. It's real, it's raw, and it's often angry and bitter. If you're going through a break up, you want this album. "Rid of Me" starts of quiet and then breaks out with an intensity that is sure to get your blood flowing. "Legs" is probably my favourite from the album.. it maintains and eery feel while showing off Harvey's deep and rough voice and the beauty within it. "Rub Til It Bleeds" is probably the catchiest song and my first love.. if anything this girl has one hell of a back bone. It's nice to see a woman empower her strength and own it. While she may look small in person, after one listen to this record you will see her intensity and you will hear her big voice and realize that she is not your typical everyday artist. She is much more than that. This is grunge.. beautiful, rough, raw, and bitter grunge. And it's at its best with PJ Harvey. Definetly recommended, and definetly a favourite of mine.
