Amazing headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset sounds incredible. Huge plus for adding a code to get Dolby Atmos for free. The Dolby Atmos makes a world of difference. The one thing I wish it had was deeper bass. It’s lacks a little better there but they still sound phenomenal. The mic turns off when you fold up and turns on when you fold down. Very convenient. If I’m game and you have someone blasting their garbage music, there is a control on the headset to completely turn down the chat. Quick and easy rather than fumbling through a menu to do it. Highly recommend this headset. At its price, you aren’t going to get better than this. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish it had deeper bass.

Great overall headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the beginning had some worries about this headset. As any previous wireless headset I had they made my voice sound distance for anyone in the xbox party. However, that is not the case with these nobody even realized I switched to wireless. The headset sits comfortably while wearing it for extended periods of time. The sound quality is awesome. I haven't tested durability but have watched videos of people twisting it all around and it not breaking. The battery life stands true and holds up to 24 hours after a charge.

Love these!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far one of the best headsets I have ever owned for my Xbox. First they are completely wireless. You can get up and walk away from your controller and Xbox cord free and still hear and talk. Huge plus there. Second they come with the Dolby Atmos code to unlock Dolby for Xbox. This helps simulate Atmos surround for your headset which is vital for games like PUBG and Blackout on Call of Duty Blackops 4. Knowing where the enemy is coming from is crucial. They have a 24 hour battery life and I’m not sure if that’s 100% correct but I can play hours at a time and not charge them for days. Battery life is great. Last they are super comfortable. Again I can wear these for hours at a time, some as long as 8-10 hour stretches and not hurt my head. I’ve had turtle beaches that sounded great but after and hour or two they would start to give me a headache if I didn’t relax them off my head. The only complaint I have about these is the chat to game mixer volume is not the best. It seems like there could be a little more adjustment, because when I try to turn the game volume up and the chat down it goes from a seems like a lot of chat volume to none. I’d like a little more adjustability there. Overall the price point that these are and the great features make this headset one of the best in my opinion.

Such a great value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to purchase a new surround sound headset to use with my Xbox One. I had been using (mostly wireless) Astro A50s for a couple of years. When they worked, they worked great... but I had a lot of trouble with the wire that plugs into the controller. No matter what brand of wire I bought as a replacement, it would always stop working every handful of weeks. Eventually I said enough is enough and wanted to purchase a fully wireless solution. The RIG 800LX SE was on my list because of it's price, being fully wireless, and coming with Dolby Atmos for free. I'm so glad I made the switch. The RIG battery life is amazing compared to my old headset, the cans are more comfortable on my ears (I wear glasses, so every headset is a little different in terms of comfort), and the sound quality is just as good. Compared to my other Astros, sounds from the RIG are better in some situations and worse in others. The RIG seem to struggle in spots where there are multiple high-bass sounds going off at the same time (like multiple explosions in a game) but the RIG are also way better at handling those small, detailed, subtle sounds (like footsteps or atmospheric sounds). I'm hearing things that I never heard before using my Astros. The RIG are super easy to set up and use. Definitely prefer these to my Astros in terms of setup. Just one small connection is made from my Xbox to the headset's receiver and boom I'm ready to go. I can control voice/game volumes independently and being able to mute myself by simply flipping the mic up is a useful feature that I didn't know I needed. There is no chat echo whatsoever, which is a problem I used to have with my Astros. Overall, I'm super happy with these. The free bonus of Dolby Atmos is a cherry on top of an already delicious sundae. The RIG provide an unreal value.

Great headset for midrange price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is truly amazing. Long battery life, great sound, and the Dolby Atmos is amazing. Set up couldn't be easier. Plug in the USB dongle, wait, done. The side mixer that lets you move between party chat on xbox and game sounds is perfect for those times when you need a little more volume from the people you're chatting with and less from the game.

This headset is Atmos...just ok.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m a long time headset user from low end Logitech to Astro A50s. I bought this headset to let go of my gen 1 A50s and use it with my Xbox One X to go fully wireless, experience Atmos sound, and save a few bucks. Pros: Easy set up, very light weight, the Atmos code makes a difference in all sound scenarios and is definitely a hidden gem of the 1X and it works on my Windows 10 PC. Cons: Explosions, roars, or anything that demonstrates any form of bass, just flat out sucks. It’s a true shame and complete let down and the reason the headset is just “ok”. All other audio is great, but the horrible bass, just really....it sucks, it just does. Since I used he Dolby Atmos code I can’t return them, which is fair, but the only redemption of this product was that product key.

Plantronics - RIG 800LX SE Wireless Headset Xbox
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best gaming wireless headset for Xbox One! I picked up the Xbox One X (Scorpio Edition) on release date and have a horrible time trying to link my headset I've been using since Xbox360. My previous headset was a $300 Steelseries Wireless H (renamed Siberia 800). Although stated as wireless, it's really not when it comes to Xbox. Audio to the headset is no issue, as the audio is connected via optical port with the Steelseries hub. However, I still have to run a 3.5mm jack from my headset to the controller for chat to work (meaning not a true wireless headset). The issue is, Xbox have no bluetooth integration similar to PS4, so using my headset is not a true wireless. Nor does Xbox have USB audio function. That means, your third-party mic will not work with Xbox One if using through USB. The problem with my Steelseries Wireless H (Siberia 800) for the Xbox headset is the 3.5mm jack itself. 1. When connecting the 3.5mm jack from my headset to the controller, the headset doesn't pick up right away. When in party chat, no mic is picked up. I have to constantly unplug, and replug the 3.5mm jack to the controller until the mic picks up. This needs to be done every time I boot up the Xbox. 2. The 3.5mm jack gets in the way. Sometimes I would accidentally unplug the wire from the headset or controller while playing games. Once unplug, issue number 1 as stated above happens again and you need unplug and plug constantly until the mic picks up again. And when communication is critical in a FPS team game, this will ensure you will lose. 3. Mic is very low. Not sure if the mic needs a patch, but my friends say that my mic is very low and that they can't hear me. It's like I'm very far from the mic. And being unable to hear me, I feel like I couldn't communicate with my team at all in critical FPS moments. After being fed up with the Steelseries Wireless H headset, I searched online for the best current Xbox headset and found the Plantronics RIG 800LX SE Wireless Headset. With so many mix reviews, I was debating between going with the Astro50, Steelseries Arctis, or the Plantronics. The Plantronics RIG 800LX SE won me over because it came with features that I liked. PROS: 1. This headset offers Dolby Atmos that other headsets do not. The headset comes with a code through Redeeming from the Xbox Store, and gives you a full sound experience. This gives you a quality sound and will be able to hear enemies footsteps all around you. Playing Black Ops 4 Blackout with my friends, I was able to hear footsteps, vehicles, and gun-fire before any of them. I was also able to pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from. What amazes me even more was being able to hear insects chirping in a section of the map that I never knew was there before. Great detail to surrounding sounds. 2. Finally! A true wireless headset. Unlike the Steelseries, this headset does not need a 3.5mm headset jack from the headset to the controller. This was a deal breaker for me. All that is needed is the little hub connected to one of your USB port on the Xbox One. Then you're set! That's it! It felt so weird not having a wire running from my headset to controller, that I get paranoid sometimes thinking I might rip the wire off like my Steelseries. 3. Very easy connection from headset to Xbox. I leave the USB attached to Xbox. Everytime I start up my Xbox, I also start up my headset. The headset will connect automatically to the Xbox and a voice will tell you it's linked. How convenient is that? The voice will also tell you upon turning on the headset, the power level of the headset, and if linked to Xbox. 4. The mic gives you the option of adjusting game volume to chat volume. If your friends through chat are too loud, you can adjust the knob wheel on the headset to game volume and vice versa. Very convenient feature when your friends have kids crying very loud in the background and you want to hear the in-game sound instead. 5. The price point is also a deal breaker. Picked this headset up during this Black Friday (2018) for $120 before taxes. I wasn't going to drop another $300 for Astro50 when my Steelseries ($300) fail to deliver. It was a great price point for quality that I just can't pass up. CONS: 1. Slightly lower overall volume compared to my Steelseries Wireless H. The max volume is not as loud, but don't get fooled. Plantronics is loud enough to hear surroundings. Just not as loud in comparison. But then again, you don't want to be deaf. 2. At times, but rarely, you can hear static on very loud game sounds. This isn't a deal breaker for me. It just means I have the mic on way too loud and need to lower it a bit. Shouldn't be listening to game this loud anyways. Overall, highly recommend this headset, especially if you can pick it up on a discount like Black Friday. You will not be disappointed. After reading mix reviews, I did add the additional 2-year protection from Geek Squad from Best Buy just in case. I've been using this headset for the last 2-days right out of the box on medium power level, and have not charged since then. Great power battery life as well. Highly recommend.

Great headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I put the headset on for the first time and I could instantly tell it was high quality. While setting up, I couldnt figure out why it wasn’t working. You need to use the Dolby Atmos code to get the headphones to work. My code wasn’t valid, but a quick call to their customer service line fixed that. Plantronics generated a code for me within ten minutes and I was using my headphones. Now it is assigned to my Xbox gamer tag only. These change the game. I’m coming from the standard Microsoft headset (the $25 one) so I can’t give a perspective of switching to this headset if you already have a similar one. This headset can handle explosions in games easily. They are loud enough. I have a medium size head and it fits me fine on the largest setting. The sound modes are not very well explained on what they do, but ther is one with no extra treble and bass, one with medium treble and increased bass, another with increased treble and medium bass, and one that has increased everything. Dolby atmos is great.

Great headset for PC/XboxOne
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using this headset for few months and really like it. Build quality is not as good as some of the others I have had in the past like SteelSeries. With that said the headset is very light weight and very comfortable and even after wearing for hours does not fatigue the ears. As for the audio quality, it's decent as well. There are multiple audio modes that can be changed with the button on the headset. I prefer the first mode but would have liked if there was an option to customize the modes as all of them feel some what lacking in bass. None the less they are great for positional audio. One more thing i discovered is that if you buy the receive for PS4 version, you can use the same headset with both consoles. So I have one receiver plugged in PS4 and other one in XboneX.

Awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great headset! Battery life is awesome! Set-up is easy! It already comes with a dts liscense no seperate purchase. Sound quality is awesome with gaming, movies or music. It has four preset eq settings adjusted by a button on the headset. My only complaint is when using the bass preset it can come through a little fuzzy..but i wont ever ise it and it wil be too much bass for the average person anyway. I honestly couldnt tell you why they even put it on..you just dont need it especially when gaming. If your an r&b/rap producer or using them for something where you would need the super loud base detail i woudnt recommend them but for listening to ANY music they're awesome. The comfort level is awesome you dont even know your wearing them. As far as connectivity goes i can use them on any floor in my house (half of a double) evn the basement and not have any connectivity issues. Im in love. Definatly a worthy investment...hopefully this helps you buy one!

Overall Good Pair of Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was reluctant in buying these headphones however I brought them to give them a try. I must say the sound quality and, mic, and fit were great. The cushion on the ears is smooth and not abrasive like other headphones in this price range. The headphones are light and very comfortable. The build quality is on par. A little plasticky but like previously stated they are lightweight so it’s understood why plastic was utilized. The main problem I have with the headphones is others around you can hear everything. Also you can hear others talk if you are in a room with other conversation. Therefore no noise cancelling. Bluetooth and Battery life is pretty good as well. I can go a couple days without charging. No crackling noise as experienced with other Bluetooth headsets of same price range or lesser.

PERFECT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously and still currently own 7.1 Surround Sound Turtle Beach PX5 (from 2011 @ $250). While the turtle beach headset is still a 5 star rating to me, I would recommend this RIG 800LX for the xbox one x. The reviews where people are stating lack of sound is most likely because they didn't adjust the wheel volume of the chat/game mixer volume. Wear the headset and play a game to get the volume you prefer. While your mates talk to you, adjust the chat/game volume (TOP wheel located on the left earbud of the headset). I adjust mine to hear my friends as much as possible. After that, you then should adjust the game volume ( BOTTOM/LOWER wheel located on the left earbud) to hear the sounds of the game itself. Once you adjust to your liking, you will hear the difference and know that it wasn't a waste a money. The main differences between my Turtle Beach PX5 (2011 model @ $250) are Dolby Atmos and bluetooth connectivity from the headset to your cell phone. Although the RIG 800 doesn't feature a bluetooth to connect to your phone for talk or music use, it does make up for it while gaming or watching a movie. I would also like to note that I never even used or use my gaming headset for my cell phone anyway so for me personally, I overpaid for a turtle beach headset all because I thought I would use it for gaming and phone. Lastly, this is true wireless (unlike my previous Turtle Beach PX5). No adapters and no 3.5mm cord connected to your controller. Just plug the receiver of the headset into the xbox (i use the front USB), turn on the headset, and pair it. In all, i cannot speak for the new Turtle Beach headsets now, but I can say that I would recommend EITHER ONE of these brands as I have personal experience with both.

A Sound Investment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Plantronics Headset, and I must say that I am very pleased. I have been using TB headsets for some time and have had a fairly good experience with the ones I have owned, but the RIG 800s have been a pleasant surprise. The fit is very adjustable and they are much more comfortable during long gaming sessions. They feel very light on your head. I have fairly good size ears and the ear cups are large enough to accommodate them. The battery life is awesome and as advertised. The sound quality is good and people I am gaming with say the mic sound is very good too. I’m sold. For the money, this headset is excellent.

Great Wireless Headset for gaming!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great headset. After going through four or five other headsets a piece for my 12 and 9 year old boys I bought them each one of these. At $150 a piece they were a little more than I wanted to pay but do not regret the decision to by these. I easily spent that or more on all the other headsets that didn't last. My boys love this headset. They are wireless, well built, have a detachable mic, comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and can get 24 hours use before needing to recharge them. The sound quality is terrific. If you are looking for a good wireless headset that won't cost you a small fortune I highly recommend this set. would definitely buy this again in the future.

Overall great headset!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Packaged well. Super light & breathable. Really comfortable. Dolby Atmos sounds great. Easy setup and connection. Awesome battery life (writing this now, i can't even remember the last time i charged them lol). Cons: Above 70% volume, speakers begin to distort (super crisp & clear up until then though). They don't block much ambient noise (mesh back on cups). A full charge takes like 3.5hrs. FEEL cheap (due to being lite and plastic) though i haven't had any issues with quality so far. Ultimately, i'm very pleased with this headset as it meets all of my needs 100%. The Dolby atmos is a great addition, and the wireless dongle has strong connection with no connection losses thus far.

Great Headset , Worth Every Penny !
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I bought this headset thinking I wanted to try something new, I didn't want to spend $300 like I did on my Astro A50s for PS4 nor did I want to buy a base station for $100. So I said this brings an ATMOS code lets try it. To my surprise this headset was great and simple to set up. The sound quality was amazing. Also the headset is super light and super comfortable. Give them a chance I doubt you will regret it. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is cause I feel they could be louder, but I also feel that way about my Astros. . Maybe I am just hard of hearing but again great set, worth the buy.

Great Wireless Surround Headset for the PricePoint
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great wireless headset for the price. I use it primarily on the Xbox One X, though I have used in on several Windows PCs and it works well there too. The headset is surprisingly light and since the cups surround the ears, they are comfortable even during long gaming sessions. I regularly wear glasses while gaming since contacts dry my eyes out and this headset is comfortable even when wearing glasses. The headset accommodates different head sizes with 3 different positions on the frame. I moved the headset to the largest size and it fits me just fine. The included Dolby Atmos code unlocks the Atmos features which add and extra degree of "height" to the already great surround sound. This feature is very cool but I wouldn't call it a make it or break it feature, more of a "nice to have" feature. The battery lasts a very long time, I usually only charge it once a week, but that is going to vary depending on how often you use it and your volume preferences. The microphone is good. I love how you just flip the mic up to mute it, no fumbling for a mute button. It's also great to have separate volume knobs for game/movie volume and chat volume. The one feature I WISH this headset had is the ability to listen to audio from my computer and audio from the Xbox One X game I am playing at the same time. The reason is that Xbox party chat does not usually sound as good as Discord chat. I would much rather jump into a Discord room for chat and have the Xbox Game audio play at the same time. This is possible with the very popular Astro A50 but in fairness, the A50s cost twice as much as the Plantronics Rig 800 LX. That's why I say the RIG is a GREAT headset for the price point. A minor gripe, but one that still bugs me, is that when you cycle through the presets, the name of the preset isn't spoken. This seems like a HUGE miss by Plantronics. When you power up the headset a pleasant female voice announces "Power On...Battery Low Medium or High...Headset Connected" That is awesome. There is a button on the bottom left ear cup that allows you to cycle through 4 preset EQ modes. I cannot, for the life of me remember what they were called because I tossed the instructions but they were something like Movie, Dialogue, Game, and Sport. When you pres the EQ button you hear either 1, 2, 3, or 4 beeps to let you know which mode you are on. It would have been SOOOO easy for Plantronics to have the same female voice that gives you the startup info SAY Movie, Dialogue, Game, or Sport as you cycle through the presets. Maybe this can be added in a firmware update? How bout it, Plantronics? I know you read these reviews;) I would also have loved a travel case and charging dock instead of no carry case and a Micro USB cable for charging but again, We are at the $150 price point and it's the $300 headsets that have features like that. Would be nice if they sold a travel case separately because I'd love to take these on the go. Pros Great Atmos surround sound Light and Comfortable Adjustable size mechanism works great Long Battery Life Easy mute mic Cons Speakers clip at higher volumes no matter which EQ Preset is used Cannot hear Xbox One game audio and PC audio at the same time No charging dock/cradle

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Headset for the price. I went through 2 turtle beach stealth 700s. Both stopped working due to some sort of software issue, after second pair died I made the switch to these, very comfortable, decent sound, Bass is lacking a little, but still good, my voice sounds great in game chat, Dolby atmos is outstanding. Very good battery life, I was genuinely surprised, only thing this headset is missing is noice cancellation, but it’s not to big of a deal. I would recommend these. Use them everyday.
