Let me first start telling you that it will take a bit to get used to and some of the movements are a bit quick, but once we put that to the side we have a wonderful game. You can play online and battle.

Wanted something fun for my 12 year old son that wasn't going to be too gory for his little sister to see on the screen. This fit the bill perfectly. He has really enjoyed it and the whole family could enjoy watching and some of us playing too. Other reviews said that it's less "motion sickness inducing" and I would agree. No problems even for a 50 year old that can't do most amusement park rides. Definitely a great buy!

From the very beginning it's like being at a sports game. The flashy start. Character intro. The costumes. Then the tutorial. The longest one of my life! But, when the game finally did start I was prepared for glory. Once in the game the VR feels natural. Where you look you go. If you get dizzy easily this game might not be for you. It's fast and can be disorienting.I recommend sitting while playing. There's a lot in the game to keep you busy offline seasonal play. Online seasons. Character custimaztion. An tons of mechs to choose from. Good luck and I will see you on the battle field.

No Team Fortress 2 or Overwatch, but a fun VR shooter. Caution that this game is not for those who are easily susceptible to motion sickness.

It's Good, But Don't Expect Multiplayer

You can get some multiplayer games going if you join PSN communities and go to the Rigs reddit and make some friends. However, just trying matchmaking won't work. Something that I never understood about Rigs other than you can do single player 3v3 games in leagues to hit singleplayer is that there are a lot of unlockables. There are 4 different mechs and within that there is like 6-7 special abilities like getting health after a kill is an example of one. There are also "Trials" where you get to run through rings in a level, shoot targets, fight enemies, etc. in sort of a chain and they progressively get harder. I thought this was pretty neat. There is also a lot of customization for your pilot that you can unlock and sponsor challenges that you can do in your offline or online matches since they are separate. I can only imagine how great this game would be with multiplayer being filled with other players. However, if you go into it expecting to play against bots with some challenges and a lot of unlockables I think you will not regret this purchase. The level of polish is amazing in this game and the difficulty is there to win and demolish since initially the game is pretty confusing since there is just so much to choose from. For the $16.00 I got it for via GCU I think it was worth the price.

I was submersed into the game as soon as the first match started, this game is lots of fun, I enjoy the 3 different match types, as well as the different mechs you can pilot. Enter a futuristic sports arena w/ mechs & you're driving in first person.

Some background. I'm not a sports fan, nor do I particularly care for sports games. However, I genuinely liked this one. As a VR experience, this is one of the first "real games" for the system. There is an authentic sports game to be experienced here. That's why I rated the game good (I really wanted to love it). My biological experience with it is another thing entirely. The game tells you to play in short sessions, to allow your body to "adapt" to the virtual experience. After all, the body "thinks" it's there. Not a hard thing to stay true to for me... My stomach would knot up and literally hurt after 20 minutes of gameplay, effectively ending my gameplay for the evening. After several sessions, I was able to go 30 to 45 minutes before I became too nauseated to continue playing. If I had a die-hard love for sports, or this game, I would have toughed it out. I did see improvements from the short sessions over the 2 weeks I had this game. I do not feel that it's fair to give a bad rating to a game because my biology doesn't "sync" with it, but buyers should be cautioned - you will need time to adapt to the VR aspect.

I feel that most of the VR games that are out feel more like experiences! I can honestly say that RIGS is a AAA game for PSVR. It has a great mix of modes both offline and online. Even better with some PSN friends!

    Today's Best PSVR Game

RIGS is about to become a big franchise. Mark my words. It's a game I had put down initially as it made me nauseous. But in VR, the trick is to power through the discomfort to raise your tolerance. Take brakes, get back to it, do not give up. Once comfortable with the game you will be blown away by its strategical depth and replay value. The game has multiple types of play and makes you alternate between league, championships/cups. As you gain fame you are faced with new sponsorships (think of them as challenges) and new rigs to purchase. Your team members can be contracted as well, the more you pay the better the hire. I give this game a 9.5/10

I bought this game because I felt like I needed to see what all the VR launch games had to offer especially after spending over $500 for PSVR. This game does not disappoint. You have to play in small doses until your tolerance builds up for running and gunning in VR. If you don't, I can almost guarantee you will be motion sick because the game requires you to look to aim your weapon while strafing in opposite directions at lot of the times. Once your body and mind sync up though then this VR gaming experience is great. Get this game if you have always wanted to pilot different mechs in a battle arena scenario.

This is an amazing example of what the PSVR can do with competitive gaming. With the Pro the immersion and motion sickness is almost zero. Push through. It's worth it.
