||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not bad for what I wanted to do, but the light sensor took time to adjust, got a little annoying that it would go off in the middle of the day, even though I had the light sensor adjusted so that it would not. As far as the brightness of the light is pretty bright, little bit draining on the batteries, but other than that, not a bad device, especially that you can control it from your phone and it gives you motion detection

If your Ring Battery-Powered LED Smart Spotlight is turning on during daytime, this is likely due to your light sensor settings. Check your Ring app and make sure the light sensor is enabled, which will prevent the light from activating when it's bright outside. You can adjust the light sensor threshold to be as low as possible for desired performance. Additionally, you may want to check your motion sensor sensitivity settings and set them to low or as low as possible while still detecting relevant motion.

Bought 2 of these and had them both installed in under 30 minutes. Ring provides screwdriver and drill bit for easy installation. Just put batteries in and finish set up on the Ring app. You do need to have a Ring bridge up and running on your system if you want alerts when the lights are triggered. Would recommend getting rechargeable batteries as the lights can drain batteries fast if used in high traffic areas.

The battery compartment was a little hard to open. It has kept the deer from coming in my yard . The size is very discrete. Tools, scewdriver included for very easy installation. Shipment was very fast...received in one day after it was ordered.

And even though required, if you just need it as a spot light, you do not have to purchase the lighting bridge. But without the bridge, you cannot link.

I am able to see whenever there is motion in the yard and it connects to my echo dot and also my phone. Very convenient.

Anyway, ended up keeping it just because the installation area is full of snow right now… would not recommend unless you already have : Ring bridge, Echo (4th generation), Echo Show 10 or Ring Alarm Pro (Or willing to invest in these Or use the light without smart controls)

They have been working for almost five years in the backyard, and have held up under rain and shine, and hot and cold temperatures. Being able to control them with the phone app is a great feature.
