Love how thin it is, not as bulky as my other ring chime. Easy set up, and signal is great

The Ring Chime Pro 8AC1PZ is the latest version of the Ring Chime with WiFi extender; besides the obvious aesthetics improvements ( better looking finish and not external antennas) the big changes are under the hood. The new Ring Chime Pro 8AC1PZhas dual-band 2.4 GHz & 5.0 GHz network connectivity; it also has a built-in night light that can be turn on or off. Set it up to my Ring doorbell video was a breeze, including the ring tones and alarms. I hook it up the backyard camera to the extender and now works like a charm. As a plus, it look good in my dinning room because of its stylish design and a night time the building-in night light keeps the area visible. I'm glad I waited patiently when I pre-ordered my Ring Doorbell Video 3 along with the Ring Chime Pro 8AC1PZ.

I bought this to extend my Wi-Fi signal strength from my house to my detached garage that is about 40 feet from my house. I have a Ring doorbell in my garage and I wasn't getting enough signal for the camera to work like it should. The Ring Pro Chime was very easy to set up and now my doorbell camera works perfect inside my garage to keep an eye on things that may happen. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it. By the way, the night lite on the chime helps a lot when going in the garage at nght.

I recently added a series of Ring powered spotlight cams to the outside of my vacation home. My concern was that with the spotty internet connectivity we get in the house (the cable company's router just isn't very powerful) that the connection would be intermittent or possibly non-existent. Sure enough, upon installations, the two cameras furthest from the router could barely pick up a signal, certainly not sufficient for Live View coverage of the front and side of the house. And moving the router was a non-starter. Having had prior experience with Ring products in my main home, I knew there was a ready-made solution. So, I scoured the local Best Buy for Chime Pro, found it in stock and brought it home to solve my problem that day. It took two attempts to find the right location, but fortunately, once I had done the initial set up, moving to a new electrical outlet was as simple as plugging in a lamp. Once I found the sweet spot where the signal was as strong between chime and router as router and cameras, I was done, and we haven't had a connectivity problem since. One thing I love about Ring products is that every time I have a problem, not necessarily with the product as much as the conditions of its use, Ring seems to solve that problem. For example, a recent issue required a change to a router password. I anticipated having to climb ladders to reset the password on several Ring products to get them connected to the internet again, But to my surprise, the software had changed and once I initiated a re-set on my phone, all I had to do was stand in front of the camera and wave to get it into set-up mode. With a recent knee surgery, the last thing I wanted was to climb an 18' ladder several times to press the reset button on multiple cameras. Ring had responded to other customer's and fixed that situation before I even knew I needed it. My only criticisms are that I really did not need the 'doorbell chime' function since the unit ended up 10 ft from the home's built-in doorbell. The chime's total cost (to me) was overkill because I only needed a simple extender, which Ring does not currently offer. Which leads to my second criticism, the Ring network seems to be following Apple's model of exclusivity. Rather than allowing (cheaper) generic extenders to work with the network, Ring extenders, cameras, etc. will only interact with other Ring products. Of course, as with Apple, the benefit of exclusivity is a single, cohesive product line that works seamlessly together. And they are simple to use. Bottom line; you sacrifice flexibility (and price point) for set-up simplicity and dead-on availability. Once installed and connected, all of my Ring devices just work... constantly, and without trouble. To me, that is worth the added cost and lack of interconnectivity.

We were having some issues with the phone app ringing, and it wasn't loud enough to hear throughout the house. That's when we decided to try Chime, and we’re so glad we did! It has made a huge difference – we can hear it much better in every room now. One of our favorite features is that we can customize the sound, which adds a nice personal touch. Highly recommend if you're looking for something reliable and easy to use!

I bought this Ring Pro Chime, because I couldn’t hear the ring doorbell when someone was at the front door. This was very easy to connect and setup. I could pick what chime sound I wanted and it also has a nightlight available.

I didn’t think I needed the Ring Chime at first — but now that I have it, I can’t imagine not using it. If you have a Ring Doorbell, this little device is a must-have. Setup took literally 2 minutes — plug it into any outlet, connect it through the Ring app, and boom, it’s ready. Now when someone rings the doorbell or triggers motion, I hear a loud, clear chime inside, even if my phone isn’t nearby. Perfect for bigger homes or if you don't always carry your phone around. The volume is adjustable (which I love), and you can even pick different tones to match your vibe. Plus, it looks clean and simple — just blends right into the wall without being ugly or bulky. Honestly, for the price, it’s a small but powerful upgrade to the whole Ring system. Super happy with it!

This chime's style is simple, but modern! It appears to go better with the decor. However, the main motive of this review is to talk about its easy setup using a QR code on the box! Scan it with your phone and follow a the steps and it's done. The audio quality is much better than the original Ring Chime. It is capable to act as a WI-Fi extender for the home's ring network for cameras, etc. Finally, it has a LED nightlight shining on the floor. While I don't need the Wi-Fi extender included with this chime I opted to purchase it for the nightlight feature. The regular Chime does not feature a night light. It is very impressive and looks a lot better than the original chime.

Works as expected with expanding your wifi range to your other ring devices. The sound on it defaults pretty loud but you can change that in the settings on the app. Also is a good night light when walking around a dark area.

Great range and easy setup following clear Ring instructions. The Chime Pro was up and running in a matter of minutes. The wifi signal was boosted so now all my outdoor cameras work perfectly.

I did not realize that the battery Ring doorbell did not make a doorbell chime sound inside the house even if you have an Amazon speaker. The WiFi feature is useless which is the Pro difference.

The Ring Doorbell chime was not working properly and this is how we solved that issue. The set-up is pretty straightforward. It has a much gentler chime (pick your favorite from the options) and it works for us. It also has a little night light on it.

If you are going to invest in a Ring Doorbell, you need a Chime to go with it. It's great as it allows for a loud ring inside the home so you do not have to depend on being near your phone. It also includes different chimes, including festive ones for holidays like Halloween. It's a wifi extender to provide a strong connection between your router and ring doorbell, and it has a nice bonus night light.
