The battery version of this is an absolute joke. 3 expensive batteries that last maybe a month, at best, and an 8 pack of the batteries that will work are $25 a package. For an existing doorbell, its simply taking the cover off the chime, connecting the jumper, and wiring the doorbell outside. The chime is far cheaper buying in package, and adds the same in the Blink app. It's very good in an enclosed front porch of being able to see anyone going by and who's dropping a package at the door, and the chime does have a volume control so it's not one horrible level.

For me this was a switch from Wyze. I really liked the quality and the viewing angles. Night mode also looks very acceptable. Sound quality is good. The material looks solid. This restyling did Ring a lot of good. Setup and connection are simple and fast. What disappoints me is the paid subscription. But I understand that these days you pretty much can’t avoid it.

Product is useful for my home need though while configuring mentioned device updating and become solid white after that how many number of time to reset or disconnect and connect back solid white was not returning back to white rotation to continue as it seem totally locked, at last disconnect from power and left for couple of minutes then started the installation process made successful. One movement of time no clue what to do how to proceed as the instruction are unclear

Just upgraded my old one and works great. This is my second one.

I am VERY HAPPY to finally have a door bell !! What I like about the ring is getting the sound that I always liked (westmister chimes) it also has a different sound for approaching along with video. I could have saved a few hundred and did it myself..as in the electric company I hired didn't finish the job, you do need a bigger transformer for it to actually work, that I did myself.

I’m a Ring Pro installer in SW Florida and I install Ring video doorbells and cameras all the time and the reason I recommend them and why customers stick with their products is because they work and they work well. They hold up better than any other video doorbell in the SW Florida heat and humidity and their WiFi connects better than others through our CMU block construction.

After years of the doorbell not working I decided to fix it with a Ring doorbell camera wish I would of known how easily I could of fixed it early but after getting a quote from a home repair company for $790.00 I got motivated and after replacing the transformer for under 50$ and getting the Ring Doorbell camera on sale for under 120$ spending about 1/2 an hour installing it I think it was worth it.

We had a first gen “Ring” - this new one is amazing!! Very clear pic/video and the facial recognition is awesome (as well as the animal recognition) - we are VERY pleased with it! Love the chime doorbell that came with it, you can set the alert you like best!! So glad we bought the pair together!

Algorithm for capturing video is better than the competition. This is my second powered doorbell and I see they have downsized whats included. No options color covers, no angle bracket for off center mounting. Although I think these are available for an additional fee. Still no option for local storage, you must subscribe to their cloud storage service for it to function properly.

The alarm is good, but every so often it gets out of line and stops working

Easy to use and hook up quality camera loud chime better than last ring camera

This doorbell was very simple to install, connect it to my phone and smart fridge (screen on fridge).

I had another Ring doorbell and the screen was so much smaller. This one has a larger screen and is crystal clear. You really can see a great distance and surround area.

The camera is clearer, so that you can see animals and people and cars a lot clearer.

I love the added security the Ring products provide. The chime is needed to hear the doorbell (if you don't already have one). Setup was simple. Took only 10-15 minutes to set up.

Was contemplating upgrading my gen 1 battery doorbell , and they had a deal that I couldn't pass. Love ring products.

It’s nice to be alerted to someone approaching the front and back door before they get there. It works well and identifies what it is seeing. Just be prepared that if you install it in a high traffic area, it is going to ring a lot. We are still learning how to use it so maybe we can figure out a way to reduce the rings.

Bought for a seasonal property and the builder's product just wasn't cutting it. Went with Ring and the installation as fast and easy. Didn't like that it wouldn't work with existing chime, but the wi-fi chime provide more options anyway. DO NOT like that for full service you need the subscriptions, but for a video doorbell itself, this one is great and provides clear images.

Had the original ring doorbell. Stopped working so bought this one. Great picture quality and the notification provide detail as to who is at the door. Nice upgrade.

Very good quality and works for the whole house. I would buy it for my friend in my country
